Stopped at the new Subaru dealership to get a car wash! Did you know if you have a Subaru you can get a car wash for free?! The amazing service staff took my car. As I waited I met one of their salespeople. Joe asked me about my car and all those sales questions. I am going to definitely be back to lease another Subaru in a few months. read more

Sales manager quoted me a price on a specific car over the phone. Drove two hours to see it and when I sat down with the sales person, they added $600 for a thin narrow plastic film on the back edges of the doors which had already been applied. When I complained to the sales manager, he said "I forgot. " He still wanted to charge me $300 for his "cost." Similar plastic film is available on Amazon for about $20. It probably takes 10 minutes for a technician to apply. They tried to squeeze as much money out of me as they could. Offered me a service plan to change the oil and rotate the tires for the first 40,000 miles. They wanted to charge me $1800. That's about $450 a year to rotate the tires, change the oil and check the fluids, the same thing any quick oil change place would do. They wanted over $3000 for an extra 5 years of warranty. My wife just paid $1200 for the same thing on her new Camry. I left the dealer feeling like they were trying to rip me off. You would think they would be trying to get repeat customers but maybe it doesn't matter in Chicago. read more

Jimmy Segura is Great! Justin is Great! They both helped us find the car we actually wanted. We went to Muller in Highland Park and were about to buy a new Crosstrek. NOPE! We're actually more of an Outback family. So Justin and Jimmy, hats off to those gentlemen. Now... Honest question- did anyone else buy a car from them and only get half a tank of gas? They went to fill it up as we finished the paperwork, the gas station is just across the street, and on the window it said, full tank of gas "included." It's standard practice to get a clean car with a full tank of gas. I just want to know if this is a recurring theme with this dealership--was this a one-time incident or honest mistake? Did anyone else get short-changed on half a tank? Let's not talk about an employee trying to sell paint-rust protection as a $1,300 add-on. When a dude says, "Crook county tax," and then offers paint-rust protection because "paint no longer contains lead and is more likely to rust," please say, "Oh yeah, Chris told me you were going to TRY to sell me on that garbage. Hard pass on that. Now, let me know if they only filled you halfway. Honest curiosity. read more

Spent 2k for maintenance and bad ac compressor a couple days after we've driven the car. They overcharge for their maintenance service and deny the creaking of the tailgate when it was obviously there as confirmed by a second mechanic. Their mechanics were not thorough enough with inspection for pre purchase inspection and looks like someone had applied a refrigerant for temporary fix hence ac was working during test drive. A couple days later, ac went out and our mechanic said ac compressor needs replacement. Not a trustworthy dealership and the mechanics will do bare minimum. read more

This dealership blows. Was quoted $849 to replace and align 4 tires on Tuesday. Shopped around, realized it was a good price. Called back Saturday to confirm price and was told "if that's what we told you that's what we told you!". Brought car in and the dealership and service dept was completely dead. Tell tale sign. Asked to confirm price of $850 and service advisor said "that must have been when our systems were down, I'll have to go check with the parts department." An hour passed. Another customer walked back after leaving with his just serviced car saying "you guys installed the completely incorrect part in my car. This is going to void the warranty! ". Service advisor couldn't figure out the problem. After an hour, he finally gave me an updated price. $1200+ for the same 4 tires and labor he initially quoted $849 for. Asked for my car back and called Subaru Autobarn of Counteyside. They quoted me &900 for the same service AND allowed me to use a loaner car. Screw these guys. They are the closest dealer to me and I will drive 50+ miles to avoid them from now on. read more

If I could give this dealership 0 stars, I would. Our car was towed in on a Thursday. Took over 10 days for a technician to even look at the vehicle, every time we called in, it was like we were a new customer and they didn't even know they had our vehicle. I finally called the service director who laughed off my complaint and my car sat for another week until I called the GM who finally got things moving, but he committed to following up and staying close to the repair and letting us know as soon as it was done and he dropped the ball too. We got a random text welcoming us to their notification system and that prompted us to call and follow up. 3 weeks to replace a fuel pump. Loaner was not issued until til 2.5 weeks. We got a loaner for 2 days of this 3 week long nightmare. They threw in 1 free oil change for the "inconvenience" of their incompetence. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. read more

Beware of Evergreen Subaru's service department!!! Their customer service is subpar and they charge more for parts than other local Subaru dealerships. I found out the hard way that they charge more for their parts than other Subaru dealers from personal experience. I have three verified instances in which they charged more for the same parts. I came to them to purchase some alloy wheels because they were the closest Subaru dealership in the area. I had a printout of the part from the Subaru parts store and the price was 150 dollars more at this dealership than the price from the parts store. When I questioned the price I was given this long speech about my printout could be some after market parts price and that they only use genuine Subaru parts. I ordered Four of the wheels. I had them put the wheels on when they arrived and the wheels on they damaged my car and would not accept responsibility for it. The wheels did not come with center caps. They said they could order them and I was given an invoice for 166 dollars. I explained that I would check other dealerships to find the caps as well. I was able to find 3 at another dealership in the area for 80 dollars and one at yet another dealership for 22 dollars totaling 100 dollars (66 dollars less). They also had to order another part that they were going to charge me 79 dollars but I ordered it at another dealership for 49 dollars. How is it that are charging more for the same parts than other dealerships in the area when they get the parts from the same Subaru part store? After discovering the price discrepancies I got quotes for the wheels that I had purchased at Evergreen at the other dealerships and their prices were 150 less per wheel than what I paid at Evergreen Subaru ( their prices were in line with the Subaru part store price). That was enough for me to determine that I would travel the extra miles to get better prices and better overall service. I would strongly advise anyone considering to get any service work done at Evergreen Subaru to compare the prices for the parts. I have found the hard way that their prices are consistently and considerably more than the prices at other local Subaru dealerships. I will not take my car to Evergreen Subaru again for service after my experience with their service department. My car was damaged while in their possession and I was overcharged for parts. I really regret my decision to take my car to Evergreen Subaru for parts and service. I have shared my experience so that it will serve as an advance warning to others considering this dealership for any type service work. There are far better local Subaru dealerships for you to choose from that offer better prices and better service than what Evergreen Subaru has to offer. read more
