Local sandwich shop in Burbank. Owner is nice. A colleague says he remembers everyone's names. They have a variety of sandwiches, but also don't sleep on their bowls. They have a Korean beef bowl which you can ask to add kimchi. You can also do some modifications on the sandwiches. Anyways they have some great options. Ambianxe wise there are cool photos, animation, and comic books lining the walls.

    Korean Beef Sandwich.

I've been coming to this place for year but lately the craving for the Korean beef sandwich is in another level. Service is always great as they recommend their new seasonal sandwiches but somehow I always go back to that Korean beef sandwich with the kimchi and spicy mayo

Been meaning to try this place for years. Finally got a chance to stop in and get the Korean bulgogi sandwich with cucumber, kimchi, cheese, and mayo. Perfectly amount of spice kick and a tasty sandwich for sure! Will be back to try more of their sandwiches. The place is clean and the family that owns and operates it is very nice.

Good stuff at Submarine King. This family run business is working hard and it puts out a good product. I ordered the 12" Italian Cold Cut Sub, which was delicious. Also tasty is the Sarducci Sandwich, served warm. This place is clean and comfortable, and the menu is extensive. Lot's of good things to try. The submarine King will be a new addition to my sandwich supply - Definitely worth a visit.

Loved this place! My friend suggested we try a local, non franchised place to grab lunch and hadn't tried this place. We had a GREAT time! It's is a strip mall but I believe you can park in the street. The strip mall has about 20 spots so good luck but once you've parked you're in good shape. The man behind the counter was super cool, friendly and engaging! He made us feel at home with recommendations, explained different options and I felt like I had known him for years! Several customers came in and he knew them by name, joked with them about things going on in their lives and it felt like that bar in that tv show "Cheers". I just ordered a turkey sandwich which tasted good, the prices were better than Subway and, like I said, I just loved the vibe! There's a Subway across the street but I'll definitely be back to Submarine King!

Korean Beef Sub with kim chi

This is a great sandwich shop! It's friendly owner and staff greeted me when I walked in the door. They were very helpful as it was my first time seeing their selection of items on their menu. The owner took the time to explain the different types of sandwiches, all custom made to order. I ended up with their most popular choice, the Korean beef sandwich with kim chi and that was right on the money! The bread was the perfect proportion of thickness to filling. The outside of the bread was crispy while the inside was soft. The meat was hot and the ingredients were fresh. The crunchiness of the kim chi with every bite made the sandwich really fun to eat. I didn't want my sandwich to end....lol The place is decorated with a mix of comics, anime and just a fun ambiance to be in while you enjoy your meal. They were also playing a variety of K-pop music which was fun and catchy too. They're located in the heart of Burbank, surrounded by the TV studios, so you might just happen to see an actor or celebrity pop into the store for a sandwich.....who knows. Please stop by and support this local business. They're hard workers, their food is delicious, and you can taste the love and quality that goes into their craft.

Located right in downtown Burbank, you walk in and order at the counter, you get a number, and they bring the food out to your table when ready. It's very casual, plenty of seating inside and outside. Staff were super friendly and welcoming, which is a huge deal and very rare nowadays. They even had a new happy hour special. Who doesn't love a $3 beer with lunch? As for the food, I was thoroughly impressed! Pastrami melt was amazing! Full of delicious pastrami, melted cheese, and pickles. So delicious! Fries looked like they were actual fresh made fries, not frozen, which was a nice surprise. I could also tell that they make their ranch from scratch. The bbq chicken sandwich was also delicious. Side salad was super fresh. Everything was so delicious! Portions nice; prices fair. I am impressed with Wild Carvery because I could tell that the ingredients are fresh and the quality is high. I also suspect that they make their own pickles? But I'm not sure. If quality and freshness are important to you, I highly recommend checking out Wild Carvery. I can't wait to come back and try their burgers.

I first found out about Handy Market on social media for their weekend BBQ about a month ago. As I had been craving bbq for a couple weeks now, I found today to be the best opportunity to give them a try. I placed an order for pick up the night before. I got kind of carried away with the order, as I wanted to try almost everything on the menu. The prices were absolutely insane! I think I ended up paying about 65 dollars for food that would easily feed me for a good 3 or 4 days. When I arrived to pick up my order at my pick up time, I had noticed my order was being packed. I asked the employees if I can leave my order with them for a bit so that I can pick up some meat inside the market. They obliged, and I went to the meat counter to order my beef back ribs to cook for tomorrow. For 5 pounds, I ended up paying about $34, which was definitely a bargain. They were also selling breakfast burritos and sandwiches in the store, which I found to be awesome. I took everything home and opened my bag of spoils. After I took everything out, I statted thinking of what I wanted to eat first and what I wanted to save for later. It was so much food that I thought I could feed an entire army. Definitely will be back for the breakfast burritos and sandwiches, and for the meats again, for sure!

As a loyal customer of this establishment for over two decades, I have consistently visited the…read moredeli and meats department at least once a month. However, I am compelled to rate this establishment one star due to a particularly unpleasant experience with a female deli employee whose first name begins with the letter "J." Despite my frequent visits, the overall customer service in the deli and meats department has declined. The season butchers have been replaced with individuals lacking the necessary experience and customer courtesy that were previously present. Over the past three months, I have encountered the same issues with this particular employee. It is important to note that the fee charged for slicing a Tri Tip into a carton container is not the primary concern. The issue lies in the employee's behavior and attitude, specifically their unwillingness to properly wrap the sliced meat. This has occurred on multiple occasions, most recently at the checkout counter when the cashier pull the foil-wrapped package from the plastic bag causing the juices of the meat to spill all over the counter. This has happened to me every time this employee has served me. The Tri Tip sliced meat is dry and devoid of juices due to this careless employee's failure to wrap the meat carefully. It is imperative that this situation be addressed. Management should provide this employee, "J," with proper training on how to wrap sliced food correctly. Additionally, it is crucial the ambiance that all employees, including the deli and butcher employees, maintain a pleasant and friendly demeanor. A salutation is always appreciated. Despite these concerns, the BBQ remains outstanding as always.
