One of the best sandwiches I've eaten! I tried this local spot like a decade ago and forgot about it but was starving today and was in the area so decided to grab a sandwich here. Parking is easy, free 2 hours street parking in front or neighborhood parking down the block. The folks here were friendly. I got the Tony's Special - an Italian cold cut , toasted, and got everything in it except for onions for $16.50 for 9". I was sharing the wich so they nicely offered to cut and wrap it in halves (: thanks! I ate in the car and the amount of juice that was dripping from it made it dangerous to eat there but so delicious , worth the mess! My husband and I finally made it to Tony's Deli. Small Deli with friendly and accommodating customer service. I ordered the Tony's Special, Italian Cold Cut, Ham, mortadella, capicollo, salami, pepperoni, mayonnaise. The bread and meats were fresh, and it was just a perfect sandwich. It was delicious. I had street parking to go to Paquito Mas but the line wasn't moving there so strolled up Olive to Tony's. Ordered a large turkey on rye and I'm telling you, it was delicious. Piles of turkey with diced tomatoes and pickled and mustard sauce. It's a quaint deli with tables inside and out. Wasn't too crowded. It was extremely delicious. Was starving this morning so I decided to stop by this morning for breakfast. Omg let me tell you I got the Og breakfast burrito. It consists of a tortilla 3 scrambled eggs with cheese and has browns. I got mine with sausage In it. You can ask for avocado if you want but it wasn't needed. Hubby and I stopped by Tony's Deli before heading to Universal Studios. We wanted to grab something to eat so that we're not spending so much money there on food later over there. Wow, incredible! This morning I ordered a breakfast burrito, egg, sausage, grilled chicken, bell pepper, and onion. This is the best breakfast burrito I've had in all of Burbank, and I've tried them all. This morning, a work colleague talked me into trying. It said he had been eating it and they're fantastic. Living and working in Burbank most of my life, I thought I had previously visited this spot but noooope, it's a new spot for me located near Providence St. Joseph and The Power 106 radio station. Tony's offer outdoor patio seating (Dog Friendly), indoor seating, catering, orders to go and now they are even serving breakfast! Small sando shop for sure! The lady that helped us was friendly and greeted us right away. Got the Italian Tonys Special and I have to say it currently trumps any other Italian Sando I've had in So Cal! This review should be for both locations but I will place the review here. In a rush I had placed an online order then went to pick it up at the expected time that I was notified via text. When I went to pick it up, the person (didn't get his name but i owe this man a thank you) looked up the order and made the sandwich quickly. At the moment was not so impressed that my order was not ready and the guy had a hard time locating it. Later got a call from the deli that my sandwich was ready for pickup. In short I had placed the order to another location and went to pick up here. The lady said it was okay as long as I got my sandwich but it sure is costly to small businesses. The guy did not even mention that I had made a mistake and rushed the pastrami sandwich, which was as good as I had expected. But the service that I received today really was great and humbling. I also love that they use Boars Head deli meats. A large sub sandwich runs about $11.95 and is fully packed! Not a skimpy sandwich; definitely enough to share. A better deal in my opinion is the "LUNCH SPECIAL", for only a dollar more ($12.95) it includes: regular sized sub; a pasta or potato salad; and a drink! Decided to get the Tony's special sandwich for my hubby and the wrap version for myself. Awful and disappointing. 25 minute wait for a salty breakfast burrito loaded with "scrambled hash brown" that seems to just be store bought frozen hash-brown patties. Only got through half of the burrito before calling it quits. Then went to the fridge for a mandarin soda so I could get rid of the taste in my mouth, only to find that it's room temperature. And while waiting for all this, I plugged my charger into their outlet, which turned out to not have electricity. For several years we'd seen the deli every Tuesday on way home following our Costco run in Burbank. We only discovered Tony's following a posting video by Chef Roy Choi and his experience at Tony's. We made sure to stop on our next visit. We were not disappointed. The food and atmosphere is fabulous. We've since made it a point to stop every Tuesday for Tony's Tuesday. We take home Tony's original sub and their red potato salad. Don't even bother with the small potato salad and just get the large. You're welcome.
