It was great according to my husband and his coworker. We got the giant spud and the chilli cheese spud. I ordered through Grub Hub and the order didn't show up on their computer so it took a while for them to get it out. They messed up the order a couple times, but they were courteous and remade them, even offered us free cookies. read more

I used to come here kinda often during my 3rd year of college.. because I lived close to the Canyon Crest Plaza. But I love this little place! I think the place is run by a family, and they're all really nice. I usually get the meatball and cheese (I forgot the exact name but this comes close..) baked potato and it's soo good! I've also eaten IN the restaurant a few times and I felt that it was pretty homey and clean. When I enter the restaurant, it's not usually crowded but I find that a good thing. read more

Yum! Stopped by this place today for a quick bite to eat. Never been to this place before, but it looked interesting so we decided to check it out. We both had the turkey, bacon & avocado on squaw bread & the buffalo chicken baked potato. The sandwiches were put together every neatly & had a bit of all the ingredients in every bite. To quote my boyfriend "orgasmic." Lol. The potato was perfectly cooked, with plenty of chicken & a great tangy buffalo sauce. Really enjoyed this place. Great potato salad! This place is owned by a woman that makes all her food fresh! The potato salad was a family recipe of hers and was so good! The big stuffed potatoes are great and she has lots of combinations I never thought of but are so good!! She's really nice and let me sample some of the food. read more

I was with my family when we stopped by this shopping center and decided to go into this place rather than a nearby fast food place. I'm glad we made the decision because the service and food was incredible. The guy taking our order made us feel welcomed like friends rather than customers. We waited like 2 minutes for our food which was very quick considering the food was made fresh. I recommend the turkey avocado wrap. The quality of the food was absolutely fantastic. The service was honestly what sold me. The cashier had the dopest t shirt and we struck a conversation over it. I honestly wish more places had this kind of ethic, where you treat you're customers more like friends. I will definitely come back if I'm in the area again. read more

Solid non-chain alternative to the nearby Subway. They have an excellent selection of sandwiches, salads, and stuffed potatoes which provides a variety that you cannot be matched at Subway and at prices far more reasonable than Jammin' Bread. I especially like that I can get a proper egg or chicken salad sandwich. The sandwiches are good not great because, after all, it is a damn sub - what can one expect? The potatoes are good as well, but, once again, no huge revelations here. It's a potato with stuff in it. This isn't Chez Panisse. The staff is friendly and while the whole process will take you a bit longer than at Subway it is not too bothersome. They charge for credit card orders - this annoys me a bit. They are also closed on Sundays - something I always find peculiar since if you are like me you are often looking to get some carry out on Sunday. read more

i go to ucr so i'm always in the canyon crest area. i'd seen this place when i've been in the shopping center and figured i'd give it a try- awesome idea. the menu is large enough to have a good variety, so you don't get bored. the stuffed potatoes are my favorite thing here, i always get them with a side of toast. last time, the really nice lady (who i assume owns the place) offered to make me garlic bread; i hadn't seen it on the menu and thought it was really awesome that they offered. the prices are great and service is really quick. as for the other review that claims they charge to use a card to pay here, i've never had that happen and i only carry debit/credit cards. maybe you misread your receipt! read more

Started working in Riverside last year and use to live close by so I would shop in this plaza often. I've been here a handful of times and always try to go when I'm in the area. My favorite is definitely the Oriental Chicken Salad, it's simple but delicious. Coming from LA and SD, I've noticed that Riverside surprisingly doesn't have many salad places, so I'm so glad this place exists! I'm surprised by the other reviews that say this place is overpriced because everything is roughly $6-7 which definitely isn't bad considering the portion and quality. The staff is super friendly too. If it were closer downtown, I would definitely be in more often :) read more

I love the huge potatoes and sandwiches at this deli in the Canyon Crest Center. Their prices are reasonable especially since I get two meals out of one order since their portions are large. I get the turkey sub with all of the oils and vinegars and it is awesome and not dry. This place has been around a long time and for good reason. Yummy! read more

This is my new favorite place for lunch when I'm in Canyon Crest. The sandwiches are fantastic, especially the hot subs because those are the subs with specialized flavors or sauces or whatever. If you like French dips, it's listed on the menu as a hot roast beef and it's absolutely my favorite thing they make. Cold subs, there's not as much flavor variety (think Subway meat options), but they carve their own meat and somehow manage to pile on a small mountain of lettuce and tomatoes *without* overloading the sub and making everything fall out. The sides are alright, though they vary a little depending on who made them that day. The potato salad is probably your best bet, or soup if you're in the mood for soup. If you get the potato chowder, ask them to top it with bacon bits and cheese. The desserts I wish I'd tried earlier. They're in a little stand near the register and don't look too special, but the brownies are perfect (moist and chocolatey, not cakey or dried out or pure fudge) and the zucchini bread is to die for. Unfortunately, they run out sometimes so they don't always have it on hand. Potatoes are good if you like potatoes. Lots of good toppings, and they'll let you customize a potato with pretty much anything they've got on hand if you really want a cheese-broccoli-steak-mushroom-sour cream-whatever monstrosity. They're baked to perfect softness, but most of the good potato toppings are also available on sandwiches so I only order a potato if I'm desperate for starch. They really pile on the toppings, so if you always get a 12-inch sandwich at Subway, get a six-inch here first. I tried ordering the 12-inch once and had to give up a quarter to a friend because it was just so much food. Though they do have to-go boxes, so I guess you could pack it up if you're not eating with a friend. To sum up: fave sandwich place, order the hot roast beef, get dessert, also they have potatoes read more
