Why?? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 04/14, bring my car in cause of maintenance light and check engine light. Omar, tech and mechanic receptionist, takes it and I let him know its probably the catalytic converter. I also told him to check out the maintenance light. Omar calls later in the day asking permission to do a diagnosis to figure out the converter's problem. I approve. Omar calls later in the day with a quote of $1600+ ​ for converter of a 4 cylinder Corolla, 2007. Unfortunately for Omar, I did pass CPS's 7th grade curriculum, so I start shopping around. I go to a different shop, and they want some info that is on the diagnostic. I call Omar up and ask questions about the diagnostic while talking to the other shop. Omar says "what's with the attitude" when I make it clear I am shopping around. He then denies me the service of Wheel - Inn (Wheel Inn) telling me "come pick up your car." Unprofessional but understandable. Like farting during a meeting. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 4:30, I come to retrieve my Corolla. Omar took it upon himself to give me and charge me for an oil change. I did not ask for it, nor approve it, nor tell him the oil I want in my car. They put that dirty, substandard synthetic blend ​in my baby, violating my car (she runs on full synthetic only, I had a sticker that showed it too). He argued with me in the shop about lexical semantics. I had no time, I said ill email. I email for a partial refund. This company is not a fan of emails. They call me 3 times (once at 7:50AM , before they even open​). I ask them, 3 times, through email, to email me. They can't do it. They reimburse my purchase. No response when I ask for a warranty on my engine. ------------------------PRO TIP: Get everything in email/writing---------------- 3 stars for doing the right thing, -1 star for Omar's demeanor and violation of my vehicle. Here is the kicker, I got my car back and it was filthy! They didn't even get all the compound off. There is something all over my windows that I can't get off. Again, this was bad. However, I did not call and complain, as I was able to clean almost all it myself, except for I can't get this sludge off my windows and mirror. The auto insurance company recommended the dealer body shop or finding a body shop myself. I foolishly wondered if they were giving me the best option and after seeing good reviews of Tech Cor, chose to go with them. They were completely inflexible and insisted on their 'pound of flesh' (if you read Shakespeare, Merchant of Venice). At one point, they even told me to go and take it to another body shop. My dismantled minivan with all the parts taken out by them??!! I did not post a review earlier because I was trying to forget how distressing it was dealing with them. Some of the things I remember: There was a tiny dent on one door and they insisted on charging me $50 for it even though the insurance paid them almost $13K for the rest of the damage. This could have easily been suctioned out in a few minutes using their tools but they insisted, "no free work". And guess what, after repairs, my car came back with the dent still in place. When I had to pick up my van, I would have to come in the rental car. How would I take the car back? They insisted they could not pick me up from home and so I had to wait until my wife could come early morning with me so one could drive the rental car and the other drive the van. The sliding doors sometimes get stuck and when I took it to them, their explanation was it was dirt sticking in the doors. To this day, I don't know why I caused myself so much unnecessary grief by ignoring my insurance company's recommendation and going with this business.

I first met Ben as a fellow sponsor for our club Chicago Auto Club West (CACW) and got to know him fairly well before having used his services. He was always the first one to jump in and help or provide advice on other projects. After being to his business and seeing his meticulous custom fabrication skills on several occasions I was reassured he was going to be the only choice among many other that I truly felt 100% confident in completing the work on my 2020 Ferrari 812 Superfast project. Ben and his team walked me through every step and what to expect prior to even dropping off the 812 Superfast. Almost instantly after dropping off the Ferrari with him, he was sending me consistent updates via text, photos and best of all high quality videos explaining exactly what was going on. There wasn't any point of time during the project that I had to call him or go check in on the progress, he was reaching out to me so I always knew the status. This was honestly the best customer service I've ever seen! Hochman Fabrication And Speed was installing a Fabspeed exhaust, Novitec Sport Springs and Spacers on the 812 Superfast for me that I had already purchased. Looking back at it I should have been more patient and went with one of his custom fabricated exhaust since we ran into a design flaw with the exhaust I brought him. After installing the exhaust Ben quickly caught things weren't sealing properly causing a leak. His experience and skill was proven at this point because he analyzed the problem, had the solution, fixed the issue and was back on track in under 30min!! This blew my mind! Most other would have probably spent countless hours trying to figure it out or walked away. Not these guys! They pushed through and had it resolved in not time at all!! Getting into this project I was expecting Hochman Fabrication And Speed to need the Ferrari for about a week. To my surprise they were able to knock out everything in 3 days with no corners cut and everything tested to ensure a high quality install!! Since they were installing new springs on a car that has a front lift and tinkering with the exhaust I was anticipating possible dashlight, codes or calibration that would be done by a Ferrari service center and I don't know how Ben and his team did it but that was not the case at all!!!! After their work no dash lights came on, front lift in full working order and nothing needs calibration! Which probably saved me a good chuck of change if I had to take it to the stealership.
