We have had our solar panels for 7 1/2 years and have never had to clean them. This year, the smoke, ash and soot made them so gray that we knew we had to do something. Cleaning my unit was not easy, as it was in the center of an apartment complex and he couldn't park his vehicle close enough to make this an easy process on him.
