Angel was very nice and made the best sub I have ever had at a subway. Would return to this location when I'm in the area.

I will no longer eat at any subway. They went up on the double meat, Dibella's is my fav sub place.

The restaurant building appears to be an old Pizza Hut location. There is no table service, ordering is at the counter. But there are several big comfortable booths for dine-in. Outside there is ample lot parking. Avanti has a great half-sheet deal, just $23.50 for a deluxe pie, and you can add a medium cheese pizza for just $5 more! There are at least a dozen or more deluxe pies to choose from. I eat vegetarian all of the time, my husband most of the time, so we split a Tuscan White half-sheet. It came out fairly fast and hot, with generous toppings. The dough is a nice and airy, with thick square-cut slices. The tasty white garlic sauce, creamy cheeses, and hearty-chopped vegetables made for a delightful pie! Our tween son raked us over the coals, and would not settle for the $5 medium cheese. My husband splurged on a calzone for him. For $16, it had better be a pretty good and pretty big calzone--and it definitely was! It was essentially a medium pizza size folded over and stuffed to the gills with molten cheeses, toppings, and sauce. My son could barely finish half. It is definitely share-size. We have a home-away-from-home camp in Orleans county, basically in the middle of the Medina and Albion Avanti locations. When we are in the country and in the mood for an easy and affordable pizza dinner (or an upgrade when the tween twists our arms), either Avanti location is our go-to pizza pick. Looking forward to being back in again soon! :-D

Village House Restaurant - BBQ Chicken Finger Super Melt: Big, hot chicken fingers with plenty of cheese and BBQ sauce!

The parking lot here is plenty big and there were plenty of spots when we pulled in around 12:30pm on a Thursday. The building isn't fancy, the interior comes off a little dated (men's bathroom could use a deep clean) but it's surprisingly spacious with plenty of tables and booths. We walked in and were greeted by a friendly young woman at a counter who grabbed a couple menus and led the two of us to a booth. It didn't take long for our waitress to come over with waters and gave us a few minutes to browse the menu. Be ready to have some decision paralysis as this menu is HUGE! There're tons of sandwiches, burgers, wraps, melts, salads, entrees, etc., in addition to the daily specials. My mom had been here a few times before for work lunches, so she already knew what she wanted, but it took me a second. Our waitress was incredibly courteous, pleasant and she was plenty patient with me! Our waitress made sure to check on us periodically throughout our meal. Once our orders were placed, we sat and chatted for maybe 10-15 minutes before our food came out - I was very surprised how quick it was! For lunch, I ordered the BBQ Chicken Finger Super Melt with a side of french fries. The description of the BBQ Chicken Finger Super Melt is pretty self-explanatory: crispy chicken fingers covered in BBQ sauce, bacon, and cheddar jack cheese between grilled sourdough with a side of ranch dressing to dip in. It may sound basic, but wow, this was REALLY tasty! There had to be three or four meaty chicken fingers in there and they were fresh out of the fryer. There was a generous amount of a sweeter-style BBQ sauce on the chicken fingers but it wasn't overpowering. Between chewy and crispy, the bacon leaned chewier but still had a little crisp to it, no complaints from me. This super melt was super cheesy, delish! The cup of ranch on the side was an awesome touch - I drizzled a bit on top before each bite. And the side of french fries were excellent - Right out of the fryer hot and perfectly golden crispy, one of the better side of fries I've had in a long time. For around $13.00 (as of 05/2026), this quality and size of the melt with fries was excellent, I was perfectly full as we paid for our meal at the front counter. I'm really impressed with Village House Restaurant! It's not fancy but the staff were very friendly and the food was hot and fresh. With how expansive their menu is, I need to come back and try another sandwich, maybe a wrap, or a burger, or a...

We stopped in on our way back home since this was one of the few places still open AND they offered the Impossible Whopper. I ordered mine without mayo and a side of fries. BF got a burger and a chicken sandwich with fries. The girl working the counter apologized for the long wait time several times so we expected it to take a while. But when she brought the food to the counter only 5-7 minutes after ordering we were quite surprised. Not feeling comfortable eating inside, we took everything to the car. Everything tasted great, though we were absolutely starving so I'm sure that had something to do with it. We'd definitely stop in if we were passing through again. Thanks to this location for offering the Impossible Whopper as an option!

She felt bad about stopping at Burger King (her fave fast food outlet) because she was the only one who was hungry, so since I have the biggest appetite in the world, I said I wanted some BK too. I got a Chocolate Shake and a Whopper Junior. She loved her food... mine was just okay. The burger was... I don't know. I used to like Whoppers when I was a kid, but I think I've grown out of them. And the Junior, while dirt cheap, is so far inferior to the Whopper itself, I can't even compare the two. The shake however, was well made, and reminds me of a Jack In The Box shake. The service was nondescript and sedated, if you know what I mean. So for the shake it scores a 2 rather than a 1, but the service and predictably awful chain store food were never going to get it higher than that. Get it? Higher?
