My friend had their Reuben and pasta salad. Her sandwich was definitely enough for two people. It also had the perfect ratio of meat to Kraut. The restaurant itself is quite small, but they are very fast and efficient. A line forms out the door and into the hallway. You place your order at the counter and your food is brought to your table. If you're staying to eat, there's a good amount of tables on the inside and several outside. I was impressed with how much they packed in their space and how efficiently everything ran. Let's talk about the service. We were incredibly impressed! Our food and drinks came out rather quickly. They have waitresses that bustle about and are very helpful and attentive. As soon as my friend was done with her meal, our waitress offered to take it and box it up. As soon as I was done a few minutes later, our table was cleared, and the desserts that we ordered were brought to the table. That was such a nice little touch that you would not expect from a little place like this. The efficiency of their weight staff ensures that everything moves smoothly. We ordered a slice of chocolate cake and a scone. These were perfectly homemade and delightful. The whip cream on the side of the plate with the scone was also fresh. My friend and I commented multiple times on how impressed we were with the place. Everything was 10 out of 10 from start to finish. I'm excited to go back.

Because of that atmosphere, I was honestly a little disappointed there was no complimentary bread like you get at a lot of higher end places. It is a small thing, but it felt noticeable given the vibe they are going for. We started with the loaded fries appetizer for $14.99. Flavor wise, it was good. The brisket and aioli worked well together, and the sliced jalapeños added heat without overpowering the dish. Unfortunately, the fries themselves did not live up to the rest of the flavors. The choice of fry just did not work for me, and it ended up holding the whole dish back. With a better fry, this could have been really solid. The seating was another downside. The chairs were uncomfortable, with curved edges that pressed into my kidneys the entire time. It reminded me of sitting in a high school classroom desk rather than relaxing at a restaurant. Service wise I didn't really know who my server was, maybe they switch? I ordered the mac and cheese and felt pretty neutral about it. I was not digging it, but I was not hating it either. It tasted more like Alfredo than traditional mac and cheese, which was not what I was expecting. The shrimp, however, were good and easily the best part of the dish. Overall, I still had a good experience. The atmosphere is nice, and while a few things missed the mark, it was not enough to turn me off completely. The restrooms are located on the side and not near the Hucks sign, which is good to know. I would return.

I finally Google mapped BBQ in the area and Kristi's showed up. They have good reviews and were only a couple blocks away. Came inside, it's a small diner style joint, very clean. We were greeted immediately by the 2 owners, both wonderful ladies. I ordered the Krazy Kristi's sandwich which is a chicken on brioche with fries and a side. I opted for the potato salad and coleslaw for my sides. The chicken is great just by itself, tender and tasty and you get alot of meat. The brioche bun was fresh, the coleslaw is creamy and perfect for BBQ, the potato salad is like a Carolina blend, has great flavor, with cheese and bacon on top is great (I usually only prefer a mustard based potato salad so for me to like this was rare!). My wife order the Pig-out Sandwich, pulled pork on brioche, the pork is tendered and very nicely seasoned. For her sides she had mac'n'cheese and green beans, the beans were STOOPID good! Prices were excellent especially for the amount and quality of great food. Parking is good. Service is great. Food is wonderful. Highly recommend and will definitely return.

As someone who is both casually food conscious yet intentional about health due to physical illness, the staff works to accommodate specific dietary needs, questions, and concerns. A customer's first thoughts about the establishment might be overshadowed by the steeper prices; however, Plant Wasted does not skimp on either quantity or quality. And--the food is incredible! Plant Wasted is purposeful with their ingredients and supports local vendors which I love! Everything is so fresh, and menu items like wellness bowls and sandwiches/toast are made to order (which can entail longer wait times but is well worth it!) Despite not being marketed as a cafe, I believe Plant Wasted might just have the best coffee in the area. Juices are fresh pressed and packed with flavor, nutrition, and whole foods. Some of my personal favorites include the Born for Leavin' Sandwich, which is spread with a decadent, garlicy hummus, the scrapyard spring rolls, and the Vibin' w/ Michelle smoothie bowl topped with their rich hazelnut spread! The dining area inside is on the smaller scale fashioned with two high tops and bar seating facing a window. The atmopshere is casual and relaxed which suits Plant Wasted's tropical getaway theme. They have an uncovered outdoor patio with chairs and tables to enjoy when weather permits. Love this place!

The customer service was also lacking. The staff didn't greet me when I walked in or ask if I needed help. They seemed rushed from the start and didn't make me feel welcome. While making my smoothie, the employee worked so quickly it felt like she was trying to shoo me out the door. For the price, I expected much better quality and a friendlier atmosphere. Unfortunately, both the drink and the service missed the mark. I won't be coming back and can't recommend it unless things improve.
