My wife had died three months earlier and after visiting her grave at the cemetery in Hamburg I was looking for a coffee shop to relax around noon. The only place open was The Yellow Deli at 327 Buffalo Street and the second I walked in I knew I was in the right place. Being a deeply spiritual person I was intrigued by this line on the cover of their menu, "We serve the fruit of the Spirit. Why not ask?" So I did and I was beyond overwhelmed by the people who operate this amazing restaurant at cafe and by their Christian beliefs. I love their story and what they stand for. The Fresh Green Mate was to die for and it was so good I purchased a brick and use it nearly day. The Bristol Fillet with the wild Alaskan Sslmon was the best as were their soups, which I have every time I visit. It's a great restaurant, kitchen staff is superb and the people are top quality. I have and will continue to return.

The rise/run makes it difficult to navigate if you're in thick boots, carrying a child, or have stiff knees. The pastry had a beautiful crunch. I enjoyed the almond flavor. And then I found: cherry preserves? I'm aware that "croissant et confiture" (eaten with jam) is a standard French breakfast, but it did change the mouth feel of the treat. She brought my bag over and had a cup for coffee. She let me to the coffee station & I had the coffee of the day.
