I had complaints about this place a few years ago when they were going through management problems…read more So I stopped going there. This year I thought I would give it another shot. I've gone three times in the past three months, and the first two times I was pleasantly surprised at the service. The young woman at the counter practically bent over backwards to help. Filled my drinks, made sure everything was put together well in a bag for me so basically all I have to do is pick it up and go. The food was fresh. And I left with a smile. But it takes one bad employee to turn that over again. The third time was me walking up to the counter saying "I have a mobile order", and giving my name... and she steps up to the cash register to say " what would you like"? I said, excuse me? I just told you I'm here for my mobile order. I had a salad, a cheeseburger, a soda, and a medium blizzard to pick up... and she asked if I wanted a bag. I said how else am I going to carry all of this? She put an empty cup on the counter for me... I've never had to fill my own drink at DQ so I had to ask where that is done. I found it before she answered me. Came back to the counter and had to weave my way through three other customers. She was leaning on the counter. I said "is the rest of my order ready?" She said what else did you have? OMG are you serious? Look at my receipt. "OH. OK well your blizzard is up there..." points to an unlidded drink way out of my reach all while she's just standing there, leaning on the counter. So I had to weave my way back through the other customers to go get a lid. Came back and my salad was under the heat lamp. I said can you please get my salad out from under the heat lamp? And get one of those large plastic bags, please. Now, where is my cheeseburger? (as I'm putting everything in the bag.) as I was leaving I asked are you new? "Yes". I said well you need to learn how to help your customers more. That's literally your job. Not mine. When I order a mobile order, it should be ready for me to pick up and go with it. DQ you had your chance. I will not be back.

That's fine, we were patient. We finally got our order, and the ice-cream was missing. Again, that's fine. We went around, and told the employee standing by the front door what happened, and she said that we have to go through the whole line, again. We'd already spent 34 minutes there. Now there were three more cars to wait behind. After 12 minutes, none of the cars moved, and we just left. They didn't care about customer satisfaction, and proved it that day.

If you've never had a sip of A&W root beer in one of their frosty mugs, I definitely recommend it. It's frothy, carbonated, and sweet. So much better than your normal canned root beer. It was 8PM when we arrived. The store posted that they close at 9PM. There was a family of 5 in the restaurant. Two cars in the drive through. Us and a man behind us. So for 3 to 4 employees, I definitely understand how frustrating it must be. A shout-out to them. We were heading back home from a trip up North and we really appreciate how patient they were with us. It took less than 10-minutes to get our meals to go. We grabbed our own napkins because they didn't provide any in the bag. Our burgers were packed nicely. The buns were soft, patties were juicy, and condiments were all in. Our onion rings were super soggy and fell apart. Thank goodness we grabbed the napkins because oil went down our hands after each bite. The root beer was the best part of our meal. Their restaurant was fairly clean and so was the bathroom. Their dining room was dimmed. So much that we couldn't tell if they were open, looking in from the highway. We stopped for gas and that was when I saw their red light open sign. Like any other fast food joints, the employees were not engaging and seemed like they didn't want to be there.

And just like last year, the reuben sandwich, fries and fried curds were a delight. The reason for this update: They were particularly kind about me goofing up the order for my kids' food. I had said chicken fingers when I meant to say grilled cheese. Even though it was my fault, they brought out a free grilled cheese for my kids to share.
