I went there at 7:32 on August 25 and was very hungry and excited to try the food. I got a garlic cheese half sandwich with a meatball half sandwich a drink chips and cookie. The food was really good and definitely hit the spot! BUT the service was pretty bad the guy helping me was not the nicest or looked like he liked his job. They will not open there drive through window UNTILL 730pm!!! WHAT THE CRAP IS THAT ABOUT!?? I've never heard in my life of a fast food place not being open for drive through because it only opens at 730pm. What a complete joke of a business and whoever runs this subway should be fired. The 2 workers in there had not a single person to help... they were both on there phone and not doing anything. AND they blamed the manager for telling them that they have to close the drive through untill 730!! That literally make zero sense. Service was fine, not the best by any means. I have never gotten a thinner sandwich in my life. Everything you ask for is the smallest amount possible. From the meat to the peppers down to the mayo/mustard, the portions are atrocious. Not the employees fault I'm sure it has to do with the owner/management. Still ridiculous. My wife and I stopped at the La Pine, Subway at 3:20 pm on Saturday, February 22, 2025. We were greeted by a young counter service person who graciously asked what we would like. We kept it simple by ordering two identical 6" sandwiches requiring Italian white bread, turkey/bacon, and pepper jack cheese, both sandwiches toasted. She requested what condiments and vegetables we wanted, and we enumerated lettuce, tomato, onions, mustard, mayonnaise, salt and pepper. There were two pans of lettuce. One was fresh shredded, and the other was severely oxidized (brown/tan mixed with some green). My wife requested the fresh lettuce. An older heavyset lady stepped in and immediately began to grab a handful of the oxidized lettuce to garnish my sandwich. I requested she use the fresh lettuce as well. She grabbed a handful of the fresh lettuce and began to sparsely place a small amount of lettuce on my sandwich and threw the remainder back into the pan. Pathetic!! If you want good sandwiches which are made with quality products, go to either the Subway or Josie K's in Sunriver. These quality sandwiches are accompanied with courteous and friendly servers who enjoy their work and provide great service. read more

The employees here are EXCELLENT! We love them and will continue to eat here weekly because there just aren't that many places in town. The reason for the one star review is the owner. Whom I have never seen, and I'm sure does something good, but one thing makes me want to dissuade folks from coming here. The don't allow you to leave a tip for the hard working employees because they will get charged more by the credit card processing company. And it is some minuscule amount. In this case, the employees make the business. And they do a great job. Turn the tips on ya'll. Find some other way to cut costs. read more

These people are just living off the fact that the fast food choices in Lapine are few. Stopped here twice this summer/fall and both times they have signs up "out of..." a multitude of things all based on shipping and deliveries. But, the Micky D's next door has lettuce and tomatoes so what's really up? Maybe they don't want to pay the prices. Also they DO NOT accept or use any kind of coupons or discounts, and no on-line orders. A lady working there assured customers in front of me that she keeps her prices much lower than those in Bend and Redmond (her two examples) so she can't afford to also accept coupons or she would have to raise all her prices. Aren't Subway's like Taco Bell etc. with pretty much the same food and prices no matter what town you are in? Confusing for sure. Was the food good? Well, maybe. Missing the basics of lettuce and tomatoes changes everything on most sandwiches, and the bread was dry (like yesterday's?). The sandwich making counter seemed pretty clean. The people working here just didn't seem to care. The attitude was like "So what, deal with it or get out of line". Next time we will bring our sandwiches with us in a cooler from Jersey Mike's or New York Sub Shop. read more

An extremely rude and whiny man walked in while we were ordering sandwiches, claiming he "owned the place". He actually called the store on his phone while in line to complain that they hadn't answered the phone. You could tell they were extremely busy and were doing their best. The team handled it gracefully and asked this rude man to stop yelling at their employees. They actually were making everyone's sandwiches (including his) while he yelled at everyone. Just want to give kudos to this team for their amazing customer service and grace under pressure, which this man had none of. If he "owns the place" then he's literally the worst manager ever and needs to grow up. read more

You always know what you'll get at Subway so a great stop when heading out to hike and camp. What I particularly appreciate about the LaPine Subway is it's adherence to the covid-19 protocols. Employee who made our gluten free sandwich was competent and friendly about it, and they were super fast making our 5 sandwiches and getting us out the door. What a horrible place to stop during Covid. First they won't allow you or even them to fill up a cup of water. No water allowed. You have to buy a bottle. Because they are doing their best to profit off of Covid. Their toaster doesn't work. They don't allow you to use the restroom. The lady at the front is extremely rude. The reason for the low score is this, tons of customers and few employees. Took about 30 minutes to get our order to go.

After a 10 hour day at work. I came in an ordered 2 footlongs for dinner. 1 Baja steak 1 Cali. I was the only one in the store when I got there. It took 15 mins to get 2 sandwiches. The guy that was assisting me attacked like I was irritating him by being there. I asked him how his day was he said fine and that was it no more conversation, which is fine I guess, but I felt like I was upsetting him by being there. I asked for double meat on the steak, he glared at me and then moved as slow as possible. When I asked if I could get bell peppers, onion and banana peppers toasted on it, he glared at me and said he couldn't do the banana peppers. I thought he was joking. He said he couldn't toasted the banana peppers because they would set off pepper fumes. Then I asked for double meat on the the Cali and he glared at me again and proceeded to lay the turkey out extremely slowly, one piece at a time, glaring at me the whole time. I felt extremely uncomfortable. The gentleman with the long hair that was working that night was very pleasant but only did the veggies on my steak as 5 people came in behind me and he needed to assist them. When the gentleman with the rainbowish cheetah print face covering finally finished my sandwiches and rung me up, he gave me my total, $26.88, and that was it. I paid. No have a nice day. No thank you for coming in, nothing. Not even my receipt. I've never felt so unwelcome anywhere before. If I ever come back to this store and he is working, I'll leave immediately. Been to it a few times, a d while there is a rush at lunch it didn't last to long and while it took about half an hour to get our food, they staff were perfesional, and kept working, that is enough for me to come bacj. When there is not much of a rush it takes about 8minutes to get our subs. read more

This dude needs an attitude adjustment! The guy who works there with the thick black rim glasses is the ONLY thing wrong with this business. We arrived to eat as apparently the owners showed up and witnessed his scamper back into the shop because he and another employee were off doing something that wasn't work. They seemed to play it off well because the owners didn't say anything. As soon as they left he jumped onto the phone and came out into the dinning area and loudly boasted about how he had just gotten away with something. The worst part is as he sat there costumers came in and were getting there sandwiches made by another employee when he yelled out (obviously ignoring their needs) "I'll be right with you!!!" The customer and the employee stopped dead in their tracks and looked at him as he stared out the window and ignored the clearly confused employee and Customer. Cut to a week later we go in again and this dude is there walking around the line, trying to talk to employees who are making sandwiches for customers FROM THE COSTOMER SIDE OF THE LINE!!!!!!! Literally interrupting a customers prefer to talk about some girl employee and what had happened earlier that day. Who is this guy?
