It's 9:00 and I ordered my 8 year old a plain 6 INCH turkey breast sandwich with cheese. The place was empty ... I asked for Italian bread, the guy pulled out a piece of bread from the oven and proceeded to cut about an INCH off the bread and placed it back in the oven..... I asked why he cut the small piece off and he said it wasn't six inches... I told him why was it necessary to cut that small piece if he was going to throw it away. ... WOW. It was at the most an inch and a half. And I am an artist and have a good eye for measurements. He said it would be for a kids meal ? But I know for a fact the kids should be three inches . ANYWAY, my kid was hungry and I wanted something not greasy since we had an hour drive home. ... I shouldn't be surprised but I am. This subway I won't be back. Maybe I am easy to please, but despite the bad reviews here, I felt the service was efficient and on point. I was in a slight hurry and they had no problem making my buffalo chicken sandwich just the way I like it (like every other subway I have been to by the way - consistently efficient service), and send me on my way. The place was very clean and well maintained, and not too busy. I don't expect "sandwich artists" who have bachelors degrees in "sandwich making," going to work as if this is their life's passion.....come on people...it's a Subway.......good, efficient and consistent service, fresh ingredients, all the combinations and sauces I could ask for...I even got the employee to crack a smile...good for me! Ordering April's sub of the month, I said "I'll have the April $5 footlong" and pointed to the poster displaying the sandwhich. The 'sandwhich artist' began making me a meatball sandwhich. I corrected this error, but she still put my bacon and egg sandwhich on bread that now had meatball sauce on it. She next asked me if I wanted the egg on the sandwhich to be yellow or egg-whites. Now, I'd like to think that I have a powerful command of the English language, so when I say the word "yellow" I anticipate it will be understand by those who offer services to English speaking customers. Again, my 'sandwhich artist' didn't understand me, so she showed me two kinds of eggs until we could rectify the communication breakdown. Back to the first sentence of this review, please note that anyone, anyone, with enough money can franchise a subway. I don't mean to be xenophobic or any other derivative of thought you may imply to my above analysis, but I do know this much: The notion that the customer is important seems to be a radical proposition in this day and age. Achievement of that goal probably envisages attention to American standards of customer service. Went into subway this morning and the employees were so disrespectful to my little brother . And after I went inside too order my food I noticed all the food was frozen to the max . i didn't Tripp off it but when we got home my brother bacon and the meat was all hard and frozen the sauces were so watery and also the cheese has big chunks of something black . And I told her because I wanted some of the cheese and she grabbed it and had it ready too put on my sandwich and she got mad and gave me attitude because I told her it had it and told her I didn't want it on my sandwich . The people in front of me ordered 4 different sandwiches. The worker prepared their food, rung them up, and then proceeded to start an online order that came in all in the same pair of gloves. Forget corona being here and that being absolutely nasty. Someone could have an allergy and every item that the last person ordered is now on these peoples food. Not only that, that register screen is dirty as hell. Workers touch peoples money and then the screen (again corona) and who knows where those people had that money. The owner really needs to go over health and safety with the workers because not only did they put someone at risk with a possible allergic reaction, that's unsanitary and not ok. There was about 6 people in line plus...a lady with a to go order asking a million and 10 questions.....Can I have a water cup....which sandwich is which? I order me a meatball marinara today for lunch what I received was a messed. The woman who made my sandwitch folded it so sloppy, then wrapped it like she expect the sandwitch to stick together? She didn`t even asked if I wanted dine in or take out? She expect me to take it. Once I received my sandwitch I unwrapped it. While she takes off for her lunch break she notice my sandwitch to be very sloppy, and has the nerve to ask me if I wanted a fork? I asked for my sandwitch to be remade so she goes to the woman at the register then whisper and both of them looked at me with a chuckle while she walked out to tell me oh she`ll make it for you with a smirt. The other woman remade my sandwitch while I ask for ranch, mustard, and chiptole she has the nerve to say oh you added to much sauce. Worst customer service. Ordered a steak melt and it wasn't toasted. I asked for it to be toasted and the server put the whole sandwich in the oven veggies and all. My veggies were cooked. Server then charged extra to toast it when the description and picture clearly states a melt. I went in this morning at 6:45am always the same unfriendly face in the morning on weekends. I wanted today's special which is meatball marinara. I was told the meatballs are not ready. I asked what are they substituting with for the special and he said nothing. How are you a business that is 24 hours and not have anything ready. Last weekend there was no flat bread thawed out. I went there first time yesterday and the experience was actually not that cheerful. The lady first put on the wrong source on my sandwich, and then tried to use a knife to scrape it out, which is horrible, the source has been spread out everywhere, how can you scrape it out completely this way? It definitely will mess up with the taste. Isn't that default to provide a new one without speaking out by customer? Then, during new sandwich process, this lady tried to scrape the whole container and give whatsoever all the leftover steaks sticking on the container, which made me really uncomfortable about the meat. I really hate leaving bad reviews but I do feel the need to leave this here. Since moving to Lathrop with my fiancé about a year ago now, I've come to this location about once a month at least, and it's almost always after getting home around midnight. I love that there's a 24 hour subway close by, and I understand that I come at a time when cleaning etc could be going on. Hell I even understand being busy. But the lady who works the overnight, as nice as she is, she has to understand some people just want to get their food and go home. She has her regulars that she loves to brag about EVERY VISIT. To everyone. She can spend 20 minutes making 2 sandwiches, but 15 of those minutes are just talking. Literally nothing but talking as if no one is waiting in line(usually myself and 1-3 others) while she carries on full conversations with people, then proceed to tell us how busy she is.... I understand overnight sucks and you have to make something of it, but please understand that not everyone is there to have conversations and wait 20-30+ minutes for a single sandwich. I'm not picky and I've dealt with this every time I've been in there. But tonight was it, I've decided I'm done and will no longer return to this location. With only 2 sandwiches being made at the same time in front of me, it still managed to take 20-25 minutes to even start my sandwich, and no nothing was short and nothing was complicated.
