This was probably my favorite meal of my Wisconsin vacation. The burger patty was delicious and seasoned well. The pretzel bun held everything together and paired perfectly with the creamy beer cheese sauce. The bacon was an added bonus. I opted for tater tots for a side and enjoyed dipping them in that extra beer cheese. This was seriously one of the best burgers I've eaten in a looooong time. The Swiss hotel is very cute and located less than 2 blocks away from the downtown area where the fests were. The hotel is also dog-friendly, which was important during our stay. I'm giving 4-stars because the hotel needs a little upgrading and my husband didn't care for the breakfast he had. The scrambled eggs were watery and there wasn't any butter for the pancakes. Also to note, our room was neat and looked clean but we noticed the recycling hadn't been taken out and I'm certain the shower wasn't cleaned before we arrived because there was a white residue all over the shower handle. Overall, I would stay here again because of the location, it's dog-friendly, and I loved the Swiss charm.

It's an old hotel, and I can appreciate that, but for the price, they need to raise their standards.

People either need to wait in line or order at at bar. They were letting people do both and it caused long waits and was upsetting to most guests. I know people can call in, so trying to be understanding of the short staff. But the way it was handled left a bad taste in our mouths, even with great tasting cocktails. Fixing this will improve the experience for everyone.
