my experience was exceptionally bad here. first the associate charged me sales tax on a carry out cold sandwich. in california, carry out cold food is not taxable. the associate rang the order as dine in and said there was nothing he could do. fortunately the actual owner of the franchise was there and corrected the error. i then paid with a $20 bill and received change as if I paid with a $10 bill by the same associate who levied the unwarranted tax on me. My visit was now being extended to reconcile the cash register to prove that I paid with a $20 bill. The register balanced and I was allowed to leave. Only the owner apologized for the inconveniences (over charge tax, short change and register audit). Not even so much as a, "my bad" or anything. Then upon leaving I noticed the owner was talking someone wearing a subway corporate logo polo so I attempted to escalate the tax collecting issue with the "subway guy" because it happens too often to be coincidence. That's when I learned with no uncertain terms that subway et al cares not one bit how it's franchisees regularly collect undue taxes from those of us who are loyal to the brand. I also learned that I was the only natural born us citizen of the four souls that interacted that day. The first soul tried to steal from me twice. the second soul wouldn't take my word for the short change after we had to correct a previous mistake. I paid for that with time lost. I will never recover that time. the third soul mad it clear that subway doesn't care that customers loyal to it's brand are likely paying more than they should and it is not their problem. BEWARE pay with a credit card if you do business at this location or any other location. know your tax obligations. don't pay if you don't owe. read more

Subway makes a decent sandwich but it's not a good value. I ordered two foot long sandwiches and ate the meatball sandwich. Subway puts the least amount of meatballs possible to still be able to call it a meatball sandwich. The Italian BMT was also extremely light in weight and diameter so it's not a very fulfilling sandwich. One strange thing I noticed is that one day recently at work our boss bought us Subway sandwiches and I had an Italian BMT footling and it was much larger than the one delivered from the Northridge Subway. So maybe consistency between locations is an issue or maybe my boss sprung for extra meat. I also thought BMT meant bigger, meatier, and tastier. That's not true anymore and false advertising is just plain bullshit. I won't be a customer at that location again. read more

I come to this subway most of the time and for the most part it's okay. But one of the biggest things is I'm allergic to avocado and my sandwich maker Saul cross contaminated the avocados with the veggies. I tell the guy I'm practically deathly allergic to them and he tells me he barely touched it and tried to proceed with the order and I tell him no, it isn't it right. so he eventually takes away his gloves and replaces then with different gloves. I try to explain That he needs to understand that it's a bad allergic reaction and that it could kill me Cross contaminating it. And he makes a joke saying that hes allergic to his job and that's it's killing him. I didn't that crap, because for one, I'm the customer and second a mistake that like should warrant an apology at the very least and not and excuse. very very unprofessional. And if I end up becoming allergic to it due to him not properly handling my food like he said he did I will sue. read more

I don't usually put reviews. This is one review I had to post for the wonderful customer service and friendly environment Mr. Ara and his crew provided. My wife asked me to get sub sandwiches for my son's birthday. Mr. Ara made it very easy for me, suggested what I should order and helped me put a variety of options together. When I picked up the order, there was nothing but customer service, from going over the order to helping me put the food in my car and more. Minor details make a difference and Mr. Ara and his crew go far and beyond to make sure they meet all customer's expectations. I definitely will recommend this specific location to anyone. Did a lunch food run for co-workers today with another employee. We decided to go a little further than the Subway close to work since parking at the one close to work is horrible. We were promptly greeted when we walked in. We had a total of 9 subs to order. 5 foot long and 4 6 inch subs. Plus drinks and chips. The owner was friendly and so was his crew. The owner also told us that they delivered. I never knew in all the years I've been eating Subway that they deliver. We got back to work with enough time to eat our perfect lunch. read more

This Subway restaurant is one of a kind. It's the only Subway, I'll dare to say in all San Fernando Valley, that really goes outside the regular recipes and not only makes the sandwiches the way you want them with a smiley face and an excited fun spirit, but also have very interesting and innovative suggestions for the sandwiches, kinda like a secret hidden menu, only for friends. You really have got to come to this place and ask for the manager, Ara (such a cool friendly dude, a real family guy who treats you like a friend receiving you at his house) and also this guy, Daniel. Both of them have actually participated in sandwich contests and won many awards because of their innovative combinations and recipes. For a Subway restaurant, this one is pretty darn in tune! Nice, friendly staff for one, as well as a very clean space. I was a little disappointed when i ordered the delicious steak egg and cheese on flatbread with avocado at this location tho because every other time i ordered this they used the large scoop and scooped two heaping scoops of steak onto my footlong, so much in fact that delicious pieces of pure steak love was falling out with every bite! I came to assume that this was protocol. I must be wrong tho because at this Subway the girl used the small scoop and put two very small, not even level scoops on it. It was still amazing, but more is better, i think everyone can agree with that! Maybe it was because the owner was there? I will find out soon if thats why. But all lack of steak aside this is a more than par Subway, I would recomend even going a little out of your way to go here for the wonderfull service and atmosphere. Oh, and they also have Orange Whip here and it is calibered perfect. The owner is also very good at getting you to spend just a little more money here, I quote, "would you like to add any delicious cookies tonight, they are freshly baked? I tell you what, buy two and ill give you one free, they are 75 cents each so it would only be $1.50 for three." I look at the menu and low and behold they are 3 for $1.50 so he wasnt giving me anything for free just making me think I was! read more
