I've been coming to KWIK Market for years and I've always bought the same two sandwiches for myself and my wife . I went for the first time since they changed owners. The sandwiches were good the only thing was they don't put enough chicken or turkey in the sandwiches like they use too. I also bought a macaroni and a potato salad from the open case that's in front of the isles and got home , and tasted it they were bad . You could even smell that they were bad . Never again will I go there . When they changed owners it's not the same anymore .Don't eat here my wife and I got food poisoning this evening really bad . I was born and raised in Philly, so I know a good hoagie (sub) when I find one. Now I will say that it is very difficult to find a quality hoagie in California. At least comparable to that of the kind in Philly. That being said, I tried this place today after driving past it every day for a year. The sign out front read "best subs in town". While I believe there is merit to that statement, I think they are selling themselves short. They have better subs than about 99% of the state. I tried the Italian cold cut. Meat was decent. It was not overkill but they didn't skimp either. It was just about right. I wasn't thrilled with the roll but I also know it's hard to get the right bread out here so I can't give them crap for that. But overall it satisfied my hoagie craving. My only suggestion would be to gut the inside of the roll. I'll definitely head back and try some of their other subs for sure. read more

The beautiful aroma of the food gives you a hard time right away, because now there is a dilemma. What do I choose? Fried chicken meal, salads, wraps, hot or cold sandwiches. They have variety of food, freshly made to order sandwiches, where you can choose everything, starting from the bread. A little downfall is that at the lunch time they tend to get pretty busy. Can't say I blame them. They are super delicious. They are located at a business location and there are not that many places to chose from. What's good is that you do choose to go to Kwik Market & Deli, not only because there are limited places to eat near by, but they are actually good and serve good food and in general have a great service. My favorite sandwich usually is the one I want at that specific moment and they are "kwik" to make it to my satisfaction. Plus, you can call, place your order, than go and pick it up, less waiting time. Really convenient for me and I am sure for people who work in the area. Not only do they have TONS of snacks and drinks they also have a variety of cold/hot sandwiches, salads, they even have a little fridge with hard boiled eggs, fresh fruit and egg salads. They also offer some fried chicken and potato wedges. There is definitely a lot to choose from here. I had the chicken chipotle sandwich twice so far since I work down the street. Very tasty, the small is 6 inches and packed with lettuce, tomatoes, chicken, chipotle sauce and Mayo, they do offer extras like Avocado and bacon I believe. This place does get crowded during the lunch hour so be prepared to wait a little, 10-15 mins as they make all the sandwiches fresh. They also take over the phone orders if you wanna just pick up and best of all they accept apple pay! They do have a few seats and tables, if you wanna just have a quick bite there. The new owner changed a lot about the store, and I'm not sure it's for the better. Should have just kept the store culture the same. The sandwiches don't tastes as good. Must have changed bread vendor, to bad. The should have kept the old soda fountain machine too. The look, feel and taste from the deli is not the same. That's why people who lived in the neighborhood kept coming back. Now my friends and I look for alternative delis to go to. It's no better the Subway. What happen? Coca Cola tried to improve on thier Coca Cola formula once. Even though it tasted better, people hated it, because it didn't taste the way it did when they were younger. My son went with a custom pizza sandwich and for good measure we got a side of macaroni salad (standard sweet deli style) a side of chicken strips (fried fresh and tasty) a for good measure a deep fried burrito (reminded me of Junior High) The food was all prepared fresh, service was good and the food was as tasty as it was fresh.
