Not sure why this location is getting beat up so much. Albeit the staff is young and slightly rude. The food is fresh and always prepared the way YOU asked for it. The place is a little bit in need of a renovation but I don't sit in there and eat as I'm a local and take my food to go. 1 star only because I got my sandwich I'm a local and won't come back here. It was a quick , convenient option on my way back home after a busy day, but the service here is awful. The kids that work here look like they hate their jobs, and people for that matter. I tried to do a curbside pick up, because I had a car full of kids but, it didn't work. And the girl wouldn't honor my BOGO half off deal for an additional order (since I had to go inside) unless I sat there and did the order online on my phone such a joke of a place. They probably don't pay much, which is why these kids act like they're doing patrons "a favor" by being here. read more

Well, not open early anymore.. around 8am now, but no breakfast options anymore, it was cold one day and hot soup sounded good.. nope.. no soup anymore.. no customers one day and employee seemed aggravated that I could not make up my mind and asked a few questions on options. I'm not much of a reviewer at all, but this place deserves a terrible review. We walked into the establishment at 9 o'clock (website and door says open till 10 PM) and the girl says, "we are closed". So, as a professional courtesy I told her that help and google both say they close at 10. She didn't really know what to say. Also, the open sign is on this entire time. Then, as I walk out the door I notice the door also has the "open till 10". So, my gf mentions that as well and questions if they are closing because the franchise actually closes at that time or is it because these kids didn't want to work till 10. The employee replies with, "we know what we are doing" as we question why everywhere it says they are open. I'm a local business owner and have been coming to this subway since I was able to drive, but never will I come back. It's not all the employees faults because they haven't been taught better. Whomever is the person in charge of hiring and training needs to be fired or retrained on how to train employees that are gonna care about how they communicate with customers and give them a better experience even if you are closed. read more

Worst experience in my life here yesterday. Rudest anti polite little b's for employees ever. I ordered a Baja Avocado sandwich. I told them they made the order wrong (it had no baja or avocado) they said we have to charge you for the avocado. I said no, that's Your mistake then they said I paid for the regular one. After going round and round with the. The ignored me. I asked for the manager and their names and they just ignored me more. While i don't mind the employees being all hispanic (which i am as well) and mostly females, the level of service is down there near the bottom. As most others have said, the employees talk shit about you, right in front of you, thinking you can't understand them. They almost never speak in english other than to ask what you want and ring you up, which for non-spanish speakers, can be really uncomfortable (considering they talk shit about you). As for orders, After going there for years now, the service has always been the same, bad. I have to constantly tell the server to actually put enough on my sandwich or else they always try to put almost nothing on my sandwich, making it more of a bread sandwich with little sprinkles of stuff here and there. There are a few males that work there, most are fine but a few have an attitude problem, make horrible sandwiches, can't properly cut a sandwich in half (which you'd think would be super easy) and won't even treat you like a customer really. The only reason why i keep going here is because there is no other subway in the area but if it were up to me, i'd clean house and get much better employees in there. read more

I have eaten at this Subway for years, so my complaint is probably for the night staff.....this was my first time ordering after 6:00 p.m. I was trying to remember what I had ordered for a meeting a month ago, and I think the woman waiting on me was irritated that I was taking a long time. However there were no other customers. I finally gave her my order and she indicated she couldn't hear my voice as I told her my name. I would love to give this location the manager and her horrible employees a minus on the stars, but unfortunately I had to give at least one to give a review. I have never encountered such a bunch of angry disrespectful employees. From the moment we walked in the staff was unfriendly and acted like the customers were bothering them. All of the veggies in the case looked old and were frozen and the counter and surrounding areas were dirty. When my husband told her that the veggies were bad she told him "did I ask you". I told her that she was disrespectful and rude and that I wanted her name, the owner's name and mangers name. She refused to give me any names. She then proceeded to throw all of our half made sandwiches in the trash and yelled at us to go eat somewhere else and mouthed off several other rude comments. Because she would not give me a name I took a picture of her so that I could contact the owner and be able to identify her. I was standing in front of the plexiglass that hangs above the cash register at which time she decided to rush towards the plexiglass and slammed it into my face and chest. I did call the police and file a report but did not press charges. I now wish I would have. This employee needs to be terminated. I know there are cameras at the location and I have a live photo on my phone of the incident. I am still in shock at what happened and will not rest until I get resolution. read more

I went in today to this Subway , I had never had a bad experience until today . The girls working there were very polite , but the young man that is working their at the moment was very rude. My brother in law and I were having our own little conversation talking about how they don't accept bills larger than $20, but at no time did we say or comment anything bad. And then this young man butts in and starts telling us in a very rude way how he doesn't make the rules their and it is what it is talk. I've been to many Subways in my day and I've never in my life come across such a heartless and unkempt establishment under this name. I could barely understand the employees as they barely spoke any English and their credit card swiper was malfunctioning for the second time this week. I for one, do not like to carry cash because it's unsafe and unnecessary at modern establishments that are supposed to accept cards. I am also pregnant and had a mean craving for a subway sandwich but because of their lack of responsibility and understanding, I left with nausea and disappointment. And since there isn't another subway in the area that's less than 10 miles away, the whole experience was for naught. I will never return to this facility ever again. I eat at subway at least three times a week. This particular establishment is absolutely horrible. From the lack of bathrooms, piss-poor customer service, lack of English speaking sandwich artists usually, extremely meager portion sizes, there really is nothing to see here folks. The unfortunate thing for me, this is the only Subway in the Ojai Valley/sorrounding area, and three minutes from my house. I have submitted numerous complaints through the corporate Subway website. Subway really stinks. The food is anything but fresh. Bread was rock hard (the bread they did have as they where out of half of the flavors), they barely add any meat, and you have to keep asking for the extras. Not that it matters, the staff barely speaks English, and seem more interested in toasting the damn sandwich than making sure it's right. They asked twice and looked at me like I had fruit growing from my forehead when I said no to the toast. If your looking for a fresh sandwich with good bread and toppings, head elsewhere. read more
