This is the dirty and nasty worker! Sombody fire her please
    Derek J.

If i was the manager, I would fire her immediately!!! It was a busy afternoon and there were a long line waiting. There were 3 workers, and 2 guys was busy at making subs and one lady was standing there using her phone while she's supposed to work. I wish I could took a photo!!! And she's sooooo nasty for every customer!!! There were 2 tour busses coming to eat there, I know it's busy, but she's yelling at those foreigner travelers : tell me what you want!! Tell me the name don't point it!!!! Cause most of the customers didn't speak English that much! I can't even believe myself why she treats people like that!!! The most gross thing that I ever seen was she just use her hands to grab those cookies!!!!!! HANDS that she was using her phone!!!! And I'm sure she saw me to do that and she knew at that moment she f**ked up!!! So I decided to take her a photo to let everyone know that rude and nasty dirty worker!!! Well I'm not only post review right here and I'm also gonna call the company to report her! I feel so bad for those travelers..

Very bad service. I visited as part of tour group. They refused to serve us. They did not give any explanation why.

The bread wasn't fresh at all, crumbled and made a mess. $9.00 for an old bread sub wasn't a good value. Back to Jimmy John's!!

Not too many options since it's a smaller subway, but great service and good food! Clean and friendly service.

Sugar Knoll is a fried chicken sandwich restaurant located in a small town near the eastern…read moreentrance to Zion. Since we were staying in a hotel nearby, we decided to give it a try for a weekday dinner. The interior is large enough that I can't imagine them actually ever filling the space with enough customers. There's plenty of seating and a strange empty expanse right in the middle of the restaurant. The building has a cold, impersonal but modern interior complete with LVP flooring. Walking up to the restaurant, the exterior smells like fryer oil. Unfortunately, the interior has a terrible chemical smell, like the adhesive on the LVP flooring hadn't been completely aired out. This restaurant is over a year old but it somehow still smells like fresh flooring. The fumes were way too strong for my tastes and I ended up having to order my food to go. Deluxe Chicken Sandwich, Crispy Combo ($17.49) - The sandwich includes a buttered and toasted bun, toasted on both sides, a slice of tomato, slaw, pickles, three chicken fingers, and Sugar Knoll's special sauce slathered on the bottom bun. The chicken fingers seem to be freshly breaded and fried in house. It's a lighter scraggly batter that gives a softer crisp rather than hard crunch and it's dusted with salt, pepper, and seasoning salt. They only use white meat chicken and the chicken isn't over done, so the interior isn't dried out. The sandwich is kind of a mess to eat given the three separate pieces of meat that have a tendency to fall out while biting in. I'm actually surprised at the quality of the fingers - I assumed a middle of nowhere restaurant would use commercial chicken strips! Sugar Knoll's special sauce is unfortunately subpar. It's like they took all the condiments they could find and mixed them together into a gloopy mess. The thing is - it's not even mixed very well! There are white splotches of mayo dressing the reddish color of the rest of the sauce. It has an off-putting flavor - heavily acidic with vinegar, yet smoky, like liquid smoke and hot sauce are mixed in. I wanted something to dip the fries in while eating, but I ended up having to throw out the extra cup of sauce they gave. The combo comes with seasoned crinkle cut fries. The fries are... interesting. Most are pale white, some being undercooked a bit making the inside firmer than fluffy potato. The fries aren't fried long enough to puff open the starches, which makes them damp and soggy inside. At least they aren't overly seasoned. I'm surprised they messed up the fries given the quality of the chicken fingers. Sugar Knoll is definitely a mixed bag. Their fried chicken is surprisingly good. Unfortunately everything else they serve seems to be an afterthought. Bathrooms - Two unisex rooms

The service is genuinely good, with staff who keep things moving and make you feel taken care of without any fuss. But the real standout is the pie. Truly some of the best anywhere; flaky crust, rich fillings, and the kind of "ho-made" taste that makes you consider ordering a second slice to go. A great starting point for your park day and absolutely worth a visit for the pie alone.

Since we were staying in the attached hotel, we figured we would try a slice! When we checked into the hotel in the afternoon, we wanted in and saw a bunch of fresh pies in the display case in the front, but we decided to hold off until after dinner. When we returned, they were all gone! Luckily we talked with the waitress and she told us that they still had plenty in the back. They also fresh bake pies every morning to be ready by 7AM opening. Chocolate Cream Pie Slice ($4.99) - That's one hefty slice of pie! It's at least half a pound of pure sugar. The topping is stabilized whipped cream while the base is a really chocolatey super thick custardy, probably cornstarch-thickened, pudding, more like jello than pot de crème. The pie crust seems a little wan, not that heavily baked given the lighter color. It's a harder crisp with a good amount of flakiness and is probably shortening based. Yet the crust still stays crunchy even with the onslaught of pudding above. As a whole the slice is ridiculously heavy and rich, super filling after dinner. I can't vouch for anything else on their menu, but Thunderbird Restaurant certainly serves some good pies! It's reasonably priced and is served in a huge portion. There's not much else I could ask for. Bathrooms - Outside in the hotel lobby

Per the cashier, Zuzu, there would be an 18 minute wait for our food. She was on the dot correct, and 18 minutes later, we were biting in: Kanab Burger + Fries ($19) - Let's start with the patty. It's really good quality, about half an inch thick after cooking, still with a good portion of pink at medium-well doneness, resulting in a burger with plenty of moisture remaining inside. The patty, slightly smaller than the size of the bun, is charred well, but still tender and extremely beefy inside. The burger is slathered with a ton of chimichurri aioli, creamy, bright and herbaceous along with two slices of melted Muenster. It's so creamy that some starts dripping out as soon as the burger is lifted up. To add even more fat (which I honestly don't think is required), there are plenty of small avocado slices, followed by a single thin slice of tomato, which I found to be too small for the burger. There's then plenty of arugula, peppery and bitter to finish. It leads to a pretty well balanced burger, all on the bun emblazoned with the Only in Kanab logo. The bun compresses well to really cradle the ingredients. We ordered this with fries, which are pretty average in size and shape. Some are a bit over fried, but most are okay and still fluffy inside. They dust it with a liberal amount of seasoning salt, so it's quite salty. Shadow of the Dragon Burger ($14) - The burger patty is the same as above, but the other ingredients are mostly different. There's a garlicky and tangy sambal giving just a hint of heat. There's crunchy fried red bell pepper bits embedded in the hot sauce and then another creamy, slightly sweet sauce spread on the buns. It's overall not very spicy at all, and very messy to eat since things spill out easily. I think both burgers are a bit too abundant with the ingredients, but I don't think either were overloaded either. Overall these were very good burgers and a surprising find for such a small town where I didn't expect to find great food at all.

We asked for an inside table for A/C and waited an extra 15 mins to sit inside. Otherwise, a table was ready outside. The fly deterrent fan propellers were definitely needed and appreciated for the fly issue in the patio. Our waiter, Jaylin (sp?), was excellent. He brought us water right away. Took our drink and food order quickly and was very attentive throughout our meal. We ordered way too much food but it was fine for leftovers. The kids fettuccine with marinara sauce was good. Pepperoni and combo pizzas were ok. The crust was super crunchy. We parked in the back of the building. It could get packed during peak hours. Not sure if I would return. We are still looking for THE pizza spot in Zion.

The fried pickles were also fantastic, especially with the great ranch dip. However, the Mission Salad was just ok. We actually had to reorder it because they initially forgot to add the roasted corn and black beans. If a server had been available, this could have been addressed immediately. Instead, I had to go up to the counter, wait for someone, and then let them know about the order issue. Even after it was remade, there was simply too much lettuce, and for the price, it really isn't worth it. Service-wise, I was frustrated by having to tip before even being served. Additionally, the staff never checked on us during our meal to see if everything was good or to refill our water. I'm torn between a 3-star and a 4-star review because service means everything, especially in this day and age where everything is outrageously expensive.
