After a really disappointing meal at one of Springdale's most recommend and premier restaurants, we decided to go more old school and choose a place that was more obscure. Iceberg Drive Inn, which opened just two months prior, fit the bill. We originally thought this was an independent restaurant; we didn't realize going in that this was actually a small chain from SLC! The menu here is really confusing. Even after ordering, I have no idea how they calculated the pricing. I think the combo comes with normal fries and a small shake? Anything else costs a little extra. Iceburger Combo w/ Shake ($17.99 per menu but $18.49. I think it's because we got a Regular Shake) - The burger is a pretty standard drive-in burger, nothing special, but hits the spot. The bun is extra buttery and toasty. There's some grilled onion, slightly greenish unripe tomato, shredded lettuce, all doused in mayo. The burger is constructed well. The bun doesn't squish or collapse, nothing gets soggy, and nothing slides out while eating. The fries are normal commercial fries, I think they are the same type and come from the same supplier as most other places in town. They are don't seem to shake the fries to separate; instead I think they add them directly into fryer from the bag so a lot of fries stick together. They aren't too salty, but aren't top tier in crisp since so many are fused. Butterscotch Milkshake - They way they serve the milkshake is really interesting. In order to give the maximum amount of drink as possible, they pile it high in a large cup that's nestled inside an even bigger cup. That allows them to mound the milkshake up an inch or so over the interior cup. The milkshake is thick and has a rich, creamy and smooth texture. Butterscotch is mixed in decently well so the entire shake taste has the buttery caramelized flavor. A lot of the butterscotch settles on the bottom of the shake, though, so at the end we were drinking pure syrup. Onion Rings ($6.49) - An order consists of four large onion rings. The pieces are gigantic - easily triple the height of typical rings. They are fried until the perfect level of crisp. The breading adheres decently well, although some large pieces still slide off after biting through. I don't believe they salt either the onion or the breading much so everything relies on the natural flavors of the onion The sweet onion flavor inside is quite strong since it's not cooked all the way through - there's still some bite rather than being completely floppy. The spicy onion pungency is completely removed, however. These onion rings are extremely greasy and oily. After finishing, there was an entire pool of oil left over that soaked through the wax lined container. Iceberg Drive Inn is a solid drive in. It's a great place to stop by for a more casual feel and doesn't seem to be as overpriced as many of the other restaurants in this tourist town of Springdale. A solid place for dessert. Soft serve is tasty and the shakes look legit. The food is just ok. It needs salt! Rodeo burger, kids burger, onions rings all lack salt. Service was friendly, even though our order was wrong. Fry sauce was good, you pay for extra if you want more. Parking spots behind the restaurant. They have about 5-6 booths inside as well as a couple of tables outside. Very clean. Gender neutral bathrooms. We would come back for dessert for sure. read more

Nice little hole in the wall. About 2 parking spots on the side no street parking. Like 6 tables to sit inside or outside a few small tables eat and people watch. We rode our bikes here. Most of the meals come with a shake and kids meal come with and soft serve ice cream. Prices are reasonable. Made to preset so you food is hot. The burger was fresh and tasted good. The Ben was super soft it was a potato bun. Fries were seasons and tasted good nice and crunchy. This place was in the middle of the town. Clean restrooms only one. After a long day of hiking, we came here for what appeared to be the cheapest option for burgers in Springdale. We got burgers, fries, and ice cream. The burgers were fine, and the fries were really good. I don't get why it's called the Drive Inn when there isn't a drive-through. read more

Our family loved this spot! Huge portions, tasty shakes and friendly service. We were happy to pig out here after a long day hiking in Zion.

Great place to stop and get some soft serve ice cream while in Zion National Park. Fosters Freeze is better ice cream but this spot is convenient. Other ice cream competitors are all on the same block Stop 5 of the Zion shuttle so well have to try the others next time. read more

To be honest, this wasn't on our radar. We were in town during an extremely busy time of year (early April) and couldn't get into our first four places. This was decent enough. Line got long, partly because there was a new employee at the order register who knew nothing and was getting no help from staff. Felt bad for him. The burger was pretty good. So, you see the regular size shake on the counter...look inside it..there is another cup inside. Yes, they make it look like you are getting a shake the size of the outer cup..but it's not. I personally find it a bit of false advertising. Not the best ice cream I have ever had either. read more

It's a little hard to find, but the "shakes" are thick as described and tasty! A "regular" is a meal of its' own so be warned! Worth a stop on a hot day. read more

In town to visit Zion and noticed this place. Came in and Alex took care of us very friendly & very knowledgeable about the menu. Excellent food & amazing shakes. The only negative thing I have to say is I wish I ordered the onion rings. They looked amazing. Love the 50s diner feel!!!! read more
