After a long, exhausting day of exploring Zion and soaking in the breathtaking views, our hungry family of six was on the hunt for a bite. With limited options and no fast-food chains in sight--just charming old-town shops--we stumbled upon Fusion House, a true hole-in-the-wall joint. We were greeted promptly by staff--who, despite the worn-out cushions on the seats (they've seen better days), managed to serve up a warm welcome. Ordering was a breeze, though the food took a little longer than expected--probably busy perfecting those huge, mouthwatering portions. When the plates finally arrived, we were blown away. The servings were so generous they could feed a small army--or at least guarantee leftovers for breakfast tomorrow! We went for the combo meals, which came with rice, noodles, an entrée, and a drink--at a price that didn't make our wallets cry. The food? Absolutely delicious. The star of the show was, unfortunately, the lone staff member (whose name we didn't catch), juggling orders, tables, and food delivery like a one-man band, all with a smile and a polite nod. All in all, a fantastic, satisfying stop--proof that sometimes, the best meals come from the most unassuming places. Had went up to Kenab, Utah this past Spring Break for some fun hiking. Happened to come across the only Asian restaurant there so gave it a try. Noticed there were only two employees there but they were so efficient. I noticed the pricing was reallly high for Chinese restaurant food. I tried Fusion House for the first time last night for takeout. I ordered the house chow mein and orange chicken. I was told to pickup in 20-30 minutes. When I arrived 20 minutes later the food was ready, but they had accidentally made fried rice instead of chow mein. The server was a bit abrasive when I mentioned the order wasn't correct. Initially saying that I didn't order chow mein. After checking her note from me calling in, the server apologized and had the kitchen make the chow mein on the fly and they gave me the fried rice for free. I had to wait there an extra 10 minutes, but well worth it! The portions were huge, and a good value for the price point. The orange chicken was my favorite, the chicken is crispy and the sauce is perfectly balanced. The house chow mein was savory and filling, could use a little more veggies like cabbage and carrot throughout for my taste. Overall, delicious food and great value! Craving for Chinese food and this tiny place hits the spot. No outdoor seating unfortunately. Started with deluxe appetizer so we can have a little of everything (tempura shrimp, cheese wonton, pork gyoza, spring roll, chicken karaage). Main courses were: black pepper steak with egg fried rice. Chose mild spiciness as I can't enjoy the flavoring if it's too spicy and this was really well flavored. Then wifey had the lunch special of orange chicken (she picked medium spiciness) . It was also really good but could have the sauce on the side to keep the chicken crispy. We ate at the Fusion House after a long day of hiking. We were craving Asian food and decided not to drive back into Springdale and eat near our hotel. BIG mistake, waste of money and awful food. We're not even that picky. We ordered a trio appetizer and that was decent. Also ordered general tsao chicken and sweet and sour chicken. The sweet and sour sauce was the reddest I've ever seen (hello red dye!) and I think for the tsao frozen veggies we're used. The texture was gross, plus the sauce taste like the sauce you can buy at Walmart. Only one small scoop of rice for a big plate of food. Yes, the portions are large, but who wants to eat it?! It was expensive too! $21.99 a chicken entree. If we would've wanted beef $28.99. Too bad there isn't a Panda Express that would've been way better! My little family and I were traveling back to Arizona when we decided to stay in Kanab for the night and check out Zion the next day. We love Asian food, so when we saw this place we had to try it. Wow. Honestly, it was so good. Our two girls, age 5 and 7 loved it as well. We always order more food than we can eat, but these leftovers were delicious. We ordered the pork gyoza, orange chicken(no spice), mongolian beef(hot), and beef noodle soup. We absolutely love the food. Everything was seasoned and cooked well. I must say that when you order something hot, they mean business. It was to spicy for me and almost to spicy for my husband. Next time we won't order hot. The prices aren't inexpensive but the again compared to the rest of the restaurant options in Kanab we checked out it was in line. One of the things that caught our eye was the "Certified Angus Beef" noted in the menu. I was immediately a bit skeptical as this is not normally seen in small mom & pop Asian restaurants. When our food arrived promptly we we pleasantly surprised. The presentation was appetizing and the portions were legit. Best of all the flavors were soooooo good. They really do use "CAB" Angus beef! My Mongolian beef was excellent and so tender. The Black Pepper Beef was the biggest surprise. You generally expect it to be chewy but this was crazy flavorful and tender. We had both orders"medium spicy" and it really was. That perfect, just on the edge of hot but not burning. We spent the rest of the meal with smiles on our faces. What a find. This eatery is something different, in the best way. COMFORT FOOD with family like service. Visited 20 minutes before closing on a late Thursday night while visiting Kanab. Tofu nuggets: I swear these are just the tofu nuggets from Trader Joe's frozen section. They're good. But 4 for 3.99 is not worth it. They're filled with edamame and carrots. I gave this place 4 stars for the young man working hard by himself mostly on a busy holiday weekend. He was very polite and provided excellent service. He did his best and did well! It was a little more sugary and tart. This could easily be renamed sweet and sour chicken. Mongolian Beef- This was my favorite dish. Great, fresh Chinese food. Being in a quaint small Utah town on Thanksgiving night, we knew our options would be limited. We also knew the moment that we saw Fusion House was open on Thanksgiving with a queue starting to form on the sidewalk just outside their front door, that it would be good fortune if we were able to score a table. More especially in the midst of COVID restrictions limiting their dine-in capacity. Luck! We were able to get seated in about ten minutes. Yes, the wait once seated was long, but it was clear that they were busy and possibly underestimated how many customers they'd get in this evening. But let me tell you, the food was worth the wait. Instead of the greasy version we were expecting, the food was fresh and tasty! Our young waiter was doing his best to balance table service with the growing line of pick-up orders. His best was good and we rewarded him accordingly when it came time to pay our bill and tip. Food: 3/5 of our party ordered curry plates. We were expecting Japanese styled curry because that's the type of description it had. Japanese curries are not spicy at all so we all ordered medium spicy level. Worst decision. :-/ Spice levels here are on another scale. The curry I got was like "volcano." I'm scared to know what plain mild tastes like. They should've put a warning in their menu. Salad was drenched in sauce. WAY TOO SALTY. Mochi has been sitting for a long time. The skin was hard even after thawing it for a bit. How gross. Service: Even after our waitress knew that the curry was way too spicy for us, she didn't offer to change it out or anything. She just laughed and said "the spice level here is something else, huh?" Granted we should've asked for them to remake it, we thought we could finish it. Based on other Yelp reviews, we were really looking forward to trying this place. Maybe we just caught them on a bad night, but our meal was underwhelming. We split the Deluxe Sampler and the Tofu Curry. The sampler was very bland. The curry dish had good flavor, but the tofu wasn't very crispy. Also plenty of meat for carnivores. Portions are big and prices are reasonable. The food keeps well, so I usually have enough for lunch the next day. They even have a very small selection of sushi rolls, which is great for people that live here and need a sushi fix from time to time. My 2 semi-issues with this place is that they sometimes are not open when they say they are (which is frustrating when I'm craving it). We came to this restaurant with high expectations. Unfortunately this was the worst Chinese food we had ever tasted. Don't ever say you are of Chinese descent. Not even the worst cook in China will cook this kind of food. We ordered the chicken fried rice. The eggs were burnt to the point of rubbery. The Kung Pao chicken also didn't use the right sauce. They used store bought sweet and sour sauce. When we confronted the owner she was rude and said that everyone taste is different.
