This is well located in the large shopping center at Mayo and Scottsdale. Service was fast and pleasant. I don't know the Sandwich artist's name but he did a fine job. I had the ultimate meats fullsize sub and it was very tasty and alot to eat. I subtract a star for lack of ambience, mediocre, small dining area(that is a major negative issue with Subways in my book). A big company like that should hire new interior designers, even McDonalds dining areas are alot nicer than wayback when. Recommended. read more

At Subway, you can usually finagle a 6-inch sub for under $4 dollars. Whether it be the deal of the month, a corporate special, or a coupon you found in your mailbox, I still like coming here to acquire a relatively healthy meal option for a surprisingly good price compared to the alternatives in the area. The positives of my experience here were simple: a pretty quick and tasty sub, cooked the way I wanted it. The downsides included several messy tables, no paper towels in the bathroom, and not really any kind of interaction with the employees. Even my sandwich artist barely gave me a hello. I don't need the pleasantries to enjoy my sub, it just doesn't bode well for a high rating. Also, it seemed like the guys behind the counter wanted to hang with their friends, who were grabbing lunch, more than treating customers. C'est la vie. Subway, I ain't mad at ya. I'm sorry to have to update my review in this way, but this location has had some serious issues with staffing over the past month, and it is not getting corrected. I've been trying to make use of Subway's mobile order feature and this location is incredibly unreliable because of its staffing troubles. Here are my two most recent experiences: 1. President's Day 2020 - I place a mobile order and arrive 25 minutes later. Upon arrival, I see the line is out the door and there is a single employee on duty. She informs me that my sandwich was not made and that I have to wait in line like everyone else. There was no way I was waiting another 30 minutes for my food when I gave her a 25 minute head start, so I left and contacted management for a refund on my order. They were pleasant enough to deal with, and gave me a generous refund and free meal. I write off the experience as a freak occurrence. 2. March 11th, 2020 - I place a mobile order and arrive 20 minutes later. Yet again my sandwich is not ready and the two employees on duty are clearly new and struggling to keep up with the lunch rush. This time I decided to wait for them to make it, so I don't have to deal with the whole refund process. However, after I left and arrived home, I discovered that they completely forgot the turkey on my sandwich. I drive back to the location and ask them to remake it, which they were at least happy to do. I've been going to this Subway location for lunch for five years, but I will be stopping now for the foreseeable future. I just want my sandwich to be ready when I get there, and shouldn't have to worry about whether or not the location will be staffed on a given day. I feel bad for the employees there who are left to deal with a lunch rush shorthanded, and while I appreciate the lengths management has gone to try to make up for these situations, there comes a point where enough is enough. read more

I can confirm there is a guy who works there that is seriously tweaking. Ran around like crazy, threw my food down on my sandwich it literally made a thud. I asked for some avocado and he got a fork wrapped in plastic for customers and used his knife to open the plastic but used so much force he broke the fork. He grabbed another fork, did the same thing and it broke again. I think he just gave up and used the broken fork to spread the avocado lol shockingly I didn't leave and I ate the sandwich. It's true. Despite what I'm sure is a corporate goal, not all Subways are created equal. I'd imagine what separates the good from the bad would be ownership and/or management (like nearly every business on the planet). This Subway certainly seems to treat the employees right as this location is always busy and quick to get you through the line. I have another Subway location closer to work but this is my preferred location. They have nice though limited outdoor seating area (that could use a little more attention since the birds seem to be plentiful in the area) and the inside is always clean and a little larger than what most Subways seem to have. I hear they have an assortment of sandwiches to choose from but its been years since I had anything but my favorite: Footlong meatball with extra pepperoni, (not toasted, of course) pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions, JALAPEÑOS! And a sprinkling of Parmesan cheese. Grabs some chips, a large tea and head outside to enjoy the wonderful Phoenix weather! read more

Been to this subway a couple times and every time the kid who CLEARLY HAS A DRUG PROBLEM does my sandwich it's awful! I don't even think the kid knows he's at work, only reason I keep coming back is because its close to my work and there's an african american guy who does a great job and is very friendly and quick with his service . Went in today hoping it wasn't tweaker dude and ofc it was dude seriously couldn't even look at me with his eyes open for more than a second. Slurring his words and almost fell over MULTIPLE TIMES. Not only that dude literally had his hair dangling all over the place including my food and it didn't look clean ONE BIT on top of it. I feel bad for the dude, but like come on i'm paying for a dirty sandwich that takes 25 min to make because the guy can't comprehend that he's even alive. I'm shocked he's even still there ! The review is about the service. I walked in and there were a couple of people ahead of me, and one person behind the counter. That's fine, I'm patient. Anyway, the girl wasn't the nicest. Maybe because I'm younger? I kind of felt like i was burdening her by having her make my sandwich. I don't know, she definitely didn't seem a but pleased she had to help me. Also, She didn't ask me if I was eating in or taking it to go, she just bagged my sandwich and chips and pushed them towards me. That's fine. I live very close to this Subway so I continue to come but enough is enough. I ordered the Italian bread and the employee actually debated (internally) on even giving me this bread as it was hard and crusty with it flaking and cracking apart as he opened it. I had mentioned earlier that I did not want this sandwich toasted and could he please just heat the chicken up and to please ensure it is well heated as it is usually still cold if not frozen in the middle. I also asked for marinara sauce to be added on the chicken. There was less than a tablespoons worth of day use on the entire sandwich! I promptly asked him for fresh sandwich bread and additional marinara sauce as there wasn't any on half of the sandwich! He changed out the bread and tried to smear the marinara spoon on the chicken to get more of it on there. I asked if there was any more sauce at all in the store (cold or hot as I would heat it myself at home). He said there wasn't. I asked him if there was any in the back and he stayed there was not without even checking & this was PRIOR to the average dinner rush! This was at store #25707 and served at 4:43p. I have finally had enough issues at this store to where I refuse to return again. I've had to heat up my chicken at home over half the times I visit this location and have mentioned this almost every time I order here due to the lack of competence of the employees and the negligence of the management staff. If Local management or Regional management would like to contact me regarding the MULTIPLE issues I've encountered at this location, please do! I encourage it and look forward to it in order to correct these problems as Subway is a reputable franchise and it's sad to see that one location can have this many issues continue. read more

The young man working the evening of January 7th was quite pleasant and efficient. He was the only one there but did a great job handling multiple orders. He chatted it up with each customer and made the experience a positive one. Management (and customers) please take note. We just walked out of the door after having ordered 2 subs to go, 30ish minutes before the 10pm posted closing time. When we walked in to order at 9:17pm we were told they were closing. We asked what time they closed and were told 9:30pm (30 minutes prior to actual closing mind you). The subs were slapped together like they didn't care and we had to ask for more veggies, as the first go was skimpy. Please speak to your employees. This Subway is the one closest to where I live and where I work, so I frequent it often when I need a quick bite to eat. I'm a big fan of Subway in general, the quality of their sandwiches is great for how cheap they are. I can go to Subway and always know what I'm going to get and that I don't have to worry about it tasting good. I see no reason to really review a chain as big as Subway on Yelp, however this specific location has compelled me to write a review. This location is the best Subway I've been to. Everytime I go, I am blown away by how friendly the staff is....every single one of them. The lines at lunch are generally long and they get very busy, but not for a single moment do the employees lose their smiles. Been here about 5 times so far. Usually decent service. Tedious access off Mayo Blvd, they are near the traffic light at Mayo and Allied Way. Plentiful parking and some tables outside from eateries next door. They are almost next door to Starbucks on Mayo. For several trips here they employed a young man wearing his cap with a twist, which I believe conveys gang affiliation. This was rather worrisome. Luckily I have not seen him there lately. This neighborhood does not need to import any street gang trouble. Usually the service here is fast and accurate. One suggestion, always depart this mall at one of the two driveways with a traffic light or you can end up sitting waiting for a long time. read more

This one is closer to my work but I may just start going to the further one. The employees are nice but they have too much personal discussion whilst helping customers. This was the worst I've experienced though. As I'm waiting for them to finish up the employees were talking about wether the one employee (nicki) was sick or not. She was claiming it was her allergies and then proceeded to wipe her nose. This was the employee that just made my sandwich...allergies or not this is unacceptable. This is by far one of the best subways I've ever been to! 9 times out of 10, you go into subway, order a sandwich, and the employees either do a poor job of making the sandwich or they skimp on ingredients bc their bosses are cheap bastards!
