Sydnee is a gemstone and definitely an asset to the Mountain Shadows organization! The bed and pillows in our room were probably the most comfortable I've ever had the pleasure of sleeping on! I want to take my hat off and express gratitude to the bartender, Cat, who literally made me one of the best Woodford Reserve drinks that I've had the pleasure of drinking in a while. She always made sure that my glass was filled and served with a lot of enthusiasm and a great smile! Now, the food was freaking amazing at Hearth Restaurant, whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner! I had the steak and eggs, which were to die for, and my wife had the avocado toast, of which she said was a 6 out of 10 in flavors! Our server, Ezmerelda, was so great while taking care of a lot of us that were in our party! You ROCK, Ezmerelda, and are a great addition to the Mountain Shadows team! She even found out what they put in the butter patties that we had for dinner at the wedding. Because it was definitely a flavor bomb, and she found out from the executive chef that it was roasted garlic and a little bit of salt. So I thank her for that and for even taking the time out to find out what it was! The dinner that they served at the wedding was unbelievable in flavor. I had the short ribs, and my wife had the salmon, of which both melted in our mouths! Now, you know things are great when you eat the salad in its entirety! LOL!! I can continue on with the most amazing experience that we have had at this resort, but there isn't enough space, all the way down to the valet service. PMSI and Nico took care of our cars when we needed it! Thanks, Nico! The fried chicken breading texture was crispy and not oily. I enjoyed the grits that came with chicken but it does have a strong lemon zest flavor. For breakfast, I loved the ricotta pancakes!!! The name really fits because there are several different seating areas, including cozy groupings with soft couches and chairs, traditional dining tables, bar seating and an outdoor patio. There is also a separate larger room that looked great for groups. It's nice enough for a fun night out or date night, but the overall feel is relaxed and casual, so you definitely don't need to dress up. We went for a girls' Happy Hour, specifically because the Wine Wall sounded like so much fun, but one of the things I really liked about The Living Room is that you absolutely don't have to be a wine drinker to enjoy it. They also have a reasonable, well rounded menu and signature drinks. Happy Hour is weekdays from 3-6 PM. The menu offers $2 off wines by the glass, draft beers, signature and well cocktails, as well as the bruschetta and flatbreads. So one person could come for wine and bruschetta, and someone else could enjoy a beer with flatbread, or have something from the regular menu. There are salads, soups, sandwiches, sushi rolls, food from the grillI, and starters. We first shared the Artichoke Spinach Dip. I feel like the dip is a portion for one, as you can see in my photo; it's in a small ramekin, but the chips are fantastic and sharable. I had the "fried rice with steak, chicken and shrimp topped with a fried egg." The "steak" was tiny little pieces, not slices, but the portion of fried rice was very generous and filling. It's a "Starter" that was a "meal" for me. I was pleasantly surprised by how reasonable the food prices are. Now for the Wine Wall, because this is such a fun part of the experience! You're given a Tasting Card that works somewhat like a debit card for the Wine Wall. You tap the card at the WineStation, choose the wine you want and then select a 1 oz, 3 oz or 6 oz pour. Each wine and pour size has its own price, and every selection is added to your Tasting Card. At the end, the accumulated amount is transferred to your restaurant check as one "Wine Wall" charge. Our server was wonderful about showing us how everything worked. He walked us over to the Wine Wall, explained the system and dispensed our first glasses for us. Later, when he asked if we wanted more, my friend ordered another 3 oz Silver Oak and he brought it right to our table, so we didn't even have to get up again. If the Wine Wall is one of the main reasons for your visit, there are couches and tables right by it. You might want to choose that area if you plan on trying 1 oz. tastes of several wines. We enjoyed two excellent Cabernets from the Wine Wall: Caymus and Silver Oak. I had a 3 oz Caymus, a 3 oz Silver Oak, and my friend had a 6 oz Caymus and 3 oz Silver Oak. Our total Wine Wall charge was $83. We're already looking forward to returning for what will feel like a different experience by having white wine and sushi outdoors on a cool evening. I could definitely see The Living Room becoming an easy choice for a casual Happy Hour or dinner with friends.

The welcome was just as poor. There was no hostess at the entrance, so we asked the hostess in the betting area, who rather dismissively told us, "I can't help you. The hostess will deal with you." Charming. When the hostess eventually appeared, there wasn't even a "hello" or "welcome." She simply walked off expecting us to follow her. Once seated, things somehow became even worse. Despite there being plenty of staff standing around, it took an age before anyone acknowledged our table. After taking our initial drinks order, our waitress vanished for extended periods. We repeatedly wanted to order food and additional drinks but simply couldn't find her. We even asked staff behind the bar and other employees if someone could help us, only to be met with complete indifference. Nobody appeared remotely interested in providing service. The televisions themselves were another disappointment, with several screens glitching and making the match difficult to watch. Again, nobody seemed particularly bothered. As for the food... painfully average. Bland, uninspired and completely forgettable. Certainly nowhere near good enough to justify returning. There are countless places in Scottsdale serving far better food with staff who actually care. The entire operation felt disorganised, poorly managed and completely lacking any sense of hospitality. With service this bad, mediocre food and staff who seem uninterested in customers, it's difficult to see how this place survives in the long term. A sports bar that doesn't understand sport, service or hospitality. One star is generous. We won't be returning, and management should be thoroughly ashamed of the experience they're providing. Don't come here. There are WAY better options in Scottsdale.

Last night, we ordered from Parlay and when my husband picked up the food he saw a 10z ribeye for steak and eggs on the brunch menu. Before trying the food, he already decided to get their breakfast in the morning. We got an ahi Salad, some southwest spring rolls, and a chicken sandwich. All were good. The egg rolls and the sauce that came with them were awesome. Today, after my surgery - Husband ordered the steak and eggs that came with potatoes and toast. It's 10oz ribeye, for only $25 bucks. We knew it would be a thin cut, but in today's economy!, still an awesome price for all of that. He asked for medium rare. I ordered a burger (I forget which kind; I was high from surgery) cooked medium. Both the steak and burger were cooked beyond well done. Beyond. My husband NEVER returns food. But, he told the server when he came by to check on us. The server was super cool. He brought the steak back. I hadn't said anything about the burger yet. I didn't have the energy and I think I was still chewing my first bite while half asleep. The steak was taking a good while to come back. Server said the cook KEPT ON over cooking the steak. , idk how many steaks he ruined before he decided on the one we should get. It was a 3/4 10oz ribeye. Should be cooked 2-3 minutes on each side. Server finally brought a new steak out. It was blue rare. Some bites were edible, but husband was iffy. The rest of the steak was still raw. Server came back and we let him know. He was in agreement and apologized. At that point I let him know the burger was also super well done. It was almost funny since again, surgery high. The server didn't charge us for the steaks and I think he compensated us for my husband's Bloody Mary too. His eggs and potatoes were fine. My fries were perfect. Ngl.. we may go back tonight since it's close to the hotel and they have a chocolate ganache cake I craved before I knew it was on the menu. Hopefully the chef making the steaks is not also the baker I will update the review to report whether or not the cake gets overcooked lol. 1st time experience -Restaurant and other food is decent.
