Understaffed and undersupplied. I called ahead to see if they had gluten free bread and no one answered. I waited till it went to the nonexistent voicemail. I asked if they had gf bread when I got there and the worker looked at me like I was crazy so I pointed to the menu and said it's available at participating locations. She said no they don't. I said then I'll have to have a protein bowl. She said I couldn't. Then her coworker said to make me one. She said she'd never made one before so she was just guessing. I said I'd never seen one so do what you want. They were missing many meats and toppings. My friend overheard that the veggies were in back but they didn't have time to prep them. I wonder if that was partially due to frequent cigarette breaks (my son saw this happen 4 times in the 30 minutes we were there). I think they needed the frequent smoke breaks due to the stress of being understaffed though. The bowl was fine. Employees all working behind counter and in kitchen. All pleasant. Dining room nicely decorated in modern industrial. Nice fake fireplace on wall, winter use only I guess. A solid subway's. I have never had any issues with my order at this location. The staff are great and the location is kept very clean. This location is close to the interstate so they can have pretty big lunch and dinner rushes. This location is also popular whenever a high school sporting event is going on. So plan accordingly but the staff handle it well. read more

When my mom and I ordered a sandwich with lettuce it was red and looked expired the cashier and one the employees had a bad attitude and did racial profile, unprofessional behavior and bad profiling. The cashier here treated the other customers like a normal thing, when she took my order there was bad red lettuce and my mom and I told her to change it and taking out of my sandwich then gave us attitude and said I am asking him not you. That's when when an argument started. Not only that the cashier did racial profiling on some of my friends. They are extremely skimpy with their sandwiches. Their lettuce is brown and they'll put very little vegetables on your sandwich and then try to make you pay extra for a reasonable amount of vegetables. Also, the staff is extremely rude. read more

All new Subway here! If this review were written a couple of years ago, I would probably have given it a 2 if that. That was because the only Rawlins Subway was located in a failed strip mall that was falling apart. It had a community bathroom shared with another business. It was worn out, dirty, and super hot because the building landlord would not fix the AC. Basically, it was costing the Subway money to operate in that old location. Recently the owner invested in a brand new building with state of the art facilities and beautiful interior across the street. It is so much nicer to walk into a place that looks and smells clean. There are easy chairs, a fireplace, nice tables, great lighting and best of all.. air conditioning! There never really was any problem with the food quality. So it is only slightly improved by having some newer cleaner equipment. But having a better facility means that it is easier now to get better help which improves food quality as well. The main reason the food quality has not shifted that much is that even at the old gross location, the employees still followed the strict guidelines set forth by Subway that customers expect to see everywhere, so there wasn't much to change in that department. If you buy a chicken bacon ranch in New York, California, or Rawlins Wyoming it will basically always be the same sandwich. You can finally get a large soda/iced tea etc now! At the old location, for whatever reason, if you asked for a large soda, they handed you a medium cup. The spot where the large was covered over. It gave the place a real "tourist trap'ey" feel. Ordered my sandwich on their app. HUGE mistake!! When I opened it up the bread was so soggy that it fell apart in the paper. Half of my toppings were missing & it didn't have any sauce on it. I ended up throwing it away because it was so disgusting. I would rather eat a vending machine sandwich. Great place to go if you have 45 minutes to an hour to spare. They are more than happy to have one person make sandwiches and the rest watch while the line keeps growing, and growing, and growing, and growing. There is absolutely no hurry here.
