Meat wasn't too dry, which I'm always apprehensive will be the case. I initially kind of wished they gave a slice of pita bread with the platter, but it was so filling that it probably wasn't necessary. For the location itself - I always love that parking isn't an issue!!

It's a pretty small spot with a simple menu -- mainly lamb and chicken gyros and bowls. I vaguely remember trying a bowl before, so this time I went with the gyro and ordered extra lamb and extra sauce. I assumed the sauce was going to be traditional tzatziki, but they actually make their own sauces and I honestly wasn't very impressed by them. To their credit and great service, they definitely did not skimp on the meat because they loaded the gyro up, but honestly I probably could've gone without the extra lamb. The whole thing ended up being super messy and hard to hold together, to the point where I eventually just ate it with a fork. Overall, the taste was just a miss for me and didn't satisfy the authentic gyro craving I was hoping for. I wanted to enjoy it way more than I actually did, but I'll probably pass on coming back.

Ehhh...I was hoping for something better but got just ok…read more Located in Pike and Rose off Old Georgetown Rd, it's situated in a really good area. I went around 6 pm on a Saturday and it was pretty empty at the time. There are kiosks that you can order at or you can order at the counter. I ordered the 3 wings (whole) and a side of fries. I didn't have to wait long and when I got my bag the food was hot!!!! I probably should have gotten what they are known for (chicken sandwiches) but I wanted wings badly. The fries were good but could've used just a little more time in the grease to make them a bit crispier. The wings were served hot and fresh out the grease. I was expecting great and got just ok. The wings lacked flavor and could have been fried a tad bit longer for a crispier bite. I was almost afraid that they were undercooked, so I ate only one wing out of caution. I will go back, but only for reputable menu items and not the wings. Also...the restaurant was fairly clean (likely bc it was empty) but could have used a once over as it appeared that the dining floors were swept but the dirt was left in a corner; this could appear as if the restaurant wasn't a tidy as it needed to be. Overall, I'll give it 3.5 out of 5 stars.

Although I've seen quite a few Roaming Roosters sprout up in the area, I figured that it was time to try out the food. For my order, I went with the chicken tenders (3-4 pieces) and a cup of fries. The order was about $14 without tip. I thought the portion size of the tenders and fries were pretty good based on what I have received from other chicken spots in the area. An order of fries is about four bucks (I didn't see any combo meals on the menu), but you will receive A LOT of fries. If you are dining with someone, you might want to split an order of fries unless you are super hungry. The tenders, which have three spice levels (mild, medium and hot) will come out PIPING hot, which is a good thing. I even had to wait a few minutes to eat the chicken because the food was so hot. I guess this definitely is a good thing if you are doing take out because the food will not be cold as ice by the time you arrive home...depending on how far you live from the restaurant. Overall, I thought the food was delicious, and the spice level of medium just was what I was looking for. I thought it was kind of funny/interesting that the chicken tenders were served on a plain white piece of bread with three pickles, but I guess that's just how Roaming Rooster does it. Perhaps, the bread is there to soak up some of the oil from the chicken, which I guess is a good thing. The fries were pretty awesome because they reminded me a bit of the fries from Five Guys, which I LOVE. Service was fine. One of the workers seemed to be a bit grumpy, but the woman who took my order had a nicer attitude. I stopped by around 6/7 pm so maybe the worker was just over their workday...a mental state that probably all of us has experienced on multiple occasions. The restaurant has a decent dining area with a small outdoor section (I believe there is an upper dining area too). Personally, I was not a fan of the outdoor dining section because it shares a walkway where customers/delivery people are entering and leaving the restaurant.

Once was in April 2025, someone brought it from the Wheaton location to a party, and I was like wow, this is even better than Royal Farms, a local MD favorite. Royal Farms however is near my home (1 mile away), and there is only one Jollibee in the entire state of MD in Wheaton, which is almost 20 miles away from where I live. I was like wow I need to come back to the physical store one of these days. I knew about Jollibee in Wheaton for a few years and that they are from the Philippines. Who would know, but they know what they are doing with fried chicken in the Philippines at least with Jollibee?! That day was Saturday, November 22, 2025. My girlfriend was out of town for the week of Thanksgiving. I went to 2 events beforehand in Howard County, which were underwhelming, and was done a lot earlier than I thought. I had plans in Montgomery County that evening. So, I was looking at the movie schedule and saw there was a movie at AMC Wheaton, but I'd have to rush down and not eat lunch. I had snack to hold me over ok and movie was only 1.5 hours. Got out of my movie close to 3 PM and was deciding what to eat. I decided I wanted a large meal to count as lunch/dinner, and I figured Jollibee close to the movie theater. I asked a couple of questions about sides. The cashier was friendly answering my questions. It was pretty busy for 3 PM. There was only one open seat after I paid. So, I got a 3-piece fried chicken with fries & biscuit. Additionally, it comes with a large tub of brown gravy. I dipped my fries & biscuit in the gravy. I didn't dip the chicken in. It was awesome on its own. Even the biscuit was amazing. Fries were solid too. One of these somewhat rare times my girlfriend & I go to AMC Wheaton or other reason over here, I need to take her to Jollibee. Note: she did get to try the chicken at the party in April 2025.

The location is almost always packed so place order ahead if able. My favorites meal is definitely the chicken sandwich, side of mashed potatoes, mango fruit pie, and the pineapple refresher. Pretty consistent in my opinion. The KATSEYE meal was good as well but limited time item. Definitely stop by if you're near and have never experienced. Better than Popeyes or KFC IMO. (Chicken that is, Jollibee needs more sides that aren't more carbs lol).
