This picture was taken a week in a half AFTER my pedicure.

This place is HORRIBLE! The individual who did my pedicure cut my big toe toenail so short i couldn't even touch it for a few days. When I told her she cut it way to short and it hurt she said "no, it's good". I will NEVER return.

I wanted to have a relaxing morning and get my toes done, so I decided to stop in here thanks to a…read morerecommendation. I went right at opening so the salon was quiet, which is exactly what I wanted. Someone was able to help me right away and get me seated for my pedicure. I opted for the deluxe pedicure so I could have a nice exfoliation service to pamper myself! We also can't forget about the comfortable massage chairs either! If I wasn't chatting up my nail tech, I could've fallen asleep, I was so relaxed! Overall the lady did a great job, and the equipment was all fresh and cleaned so no worries about any unsanitary practices. I would definitely go back for future services on my feet!

I was pleasantly surprised to know that it was empty, but there is a steady stream of customers since we arrived. They are located in the plaza next to my favorite sushi place and across from Winn-Dixie on Lockwood. The lady who did my nails was meticulous and the owner did the princess manicure and pedicure for my little one. It was nice to see that they had the adjusted price on the Spa menu but they did not have little princess chairs however, that was not a dealbreaker for us. They did not rush and did a great job and it was a good experience and while we didn't do gel, we did have designs and they tried their best to make us happy with that.

A little sad when I say it loud, but Mama is looking for PEACE, ya know? All beauty businesses should give their clients a little champagne to get into pamper mode! Am I right, or am I right? That being said, the service here can be hit or miss. I never manage to keep track of technician's names that I particularly like--or when I do, they're gone after a few appointments. I've never been upset about the finished product, but pedis are a little more low stakes than manicures. I have had the occasional "rough" technician, where the relaxation is disturbed by occasional pain. And you only need to be sliced open by the sharp edge of a nail file once before you're on high alert to prevent it ever happening again. I just wish I could count on pure relaxation when coming here. On my last visit, I'm sad to say my chair was straight up dirty. Both side tables on the chair and their cup holders had not been cleaned in obviously quite some time. I know this because it looked like the inside of our car when a detailing is long overdue! There was evidence of multiple spills which had gotten sticky and had started collecting dust and grime. I'm no clean freak but it's such an easy thing to restore to sparkling! A cloth dipped in hot water with a tiny bit of sanitizing/cleaning agent, zero elbow grease, and the chair would have looked brand new. And while I have no doubt they sanitize their tools, it makes you wonder what else they're letting slide. My daughter got an acrylic set on my last visit as well. The tech did a great job with my teen's polish design, which was of course very specific, but the work on the acrylics was just...bad. The fingernails were molded upwards at an angle like her nails were peeling backwards at the base. I didn't say anything because I didn't see the finished product until the end, but I also didn't want my teen thinking the nails she just got for her event were "bad." I will be coming back here, but this last visit was the first in a long time and upon re-entering I realized my less frequent pedis were because the place just isn't as relaxing as it once was. Like I said, not giving up on Velvet, but I am always on the lookout for the Pedi Heaven I seek. I hope they can bring it!

Up until a week ago I had visited the salon for mani/pedis which were always enjoyable. After a…read morebreak on fake nails for a couple of years, I decided I was ready to get nails once again. I arrived with no appointment, but i had called about 15 minutes prior to my arrival. I sat at the first table on the left side of the room (not next to the wall) with a mature technician. I showed her a picture of what i was wanting, more rounded coffin/oval shaped, and ombre natural to allow longer wear before a fill is required. I identified that I previously wore GelX, but was open to other options, but didn't want acrylic. She mentioned a couple of options, but she was difficult to understand. She understood my desire for ombre - i asked if she could do what i wanted and she said a very clear 'yes'. She started and asked a couple of questions of natural color preferences - i said that I would rely on her since i wasn't that picky. She started and was only the 3rd or so nail and a gentleman stopped by and was watching what she was doing and questioning what i was wanting. I explained i used to wear GelX but was open, but didn't want acrylic. He responded with "we do GelX. . . you do realize that's acrylic" - i didn't, but at this point i felt it was too late. I believe he was the one of the owners. She continued to do my nails and I became very concerned as i saw the fairly wide gap between the start of the acrylic and my cuticle. While I may be picky at times, the woman next to her was standing up and watching her work and chatting with her. Others stopped by to watch, including the same gentleman and a couple of other techs and I believe one of them was another owner. They all watched and never showed concern or spoke/questioned my Nail Tech. All i kept thinking was maybe there are different steps and once she continues my areas of concerns may be taken care of. Unfortunately, the product only got worse as she continued. Why didn't i complain? 1) I had already spent a good 1.5 hours in the chair and couldn't afford to waste any more time and 2) co-workers/owners watched throughout the entire time and didn't have any concerns with the quality of work at any time so I didn't expect anything to be different at the end. I've been in this situation with a quality concern quite a while ago and co-workers/owners stopped the work on their own and directed correction. Unfortunately, this didn't happen and I had to learn an expensive lesson. Not even a week later one of the nails broke off and I went to another nail salon which stated they needed to be fully removed as they were done wrong and were very much already lifting away from the nail bed. With all of this, I wouldn't have an issue with a mani/pedi at this salon but will not return for fake nails.
