I recently became obsessed with Succulents Box. Don't let the name fool you either because they have a huge variety of houseplants and cacti, too! ALL of which I've taken advantage of--multiple times, admittedly. Although shipping can be a little expensive, the plants are packed with care. I've only had a couple arrive in rough shape, but a quick chat with Customer Care got that taken care of and replacements were sent out expeditiously! I shipped the return to the exact address provided in the official PayPal dispute instructions. The package was later returned to me marked "Return to Sender - Insufficient Address." By that time, however, PayPal had already closed the case in my favor and issued the full refund. I was also reimbursed $14 for the return shipping cost. After 47 days, multiple emails, being told returns were not accepted, then being required to return the merchandise at my expense, and navigating dispute instructions between PayPal and my bank -- the matter was ultimately resolved in my favor. I complied with every instruction given. The case is closed. The refund was issued. Draw your own conclusions. And I see some of my photos were removed from my initial review... it's cool, as long as I got ALL my money back!!! You never win when you play dirty!!! read more

My Mom wanted me to send her a "start" from my Christmas cactus but I was worried it wouldn't make it from California to Montana. So I googled Christmas cactus and came across Succulent Box and thought I would try ordering her a cactus from them. I was a little skeptical as to whether the cactus would be beautiful and healthy and I have to say I am pleased beyond words! The cactus was in perfect condition and within a day or two had beautiful buds and a bloom (see photos). I highly recommend this company and will definitely be ordering from them again! read more

They were very good a few years back. Placed an order late last year--one of the plants looked a bit peaked on arrival, but chalked it up to a little stress. A bit more than six weeks in, it was definitely dying. Contacted customer service and could not get a replacement as I had missed the deadline by a week or so. I don't remember the fine details. Offered me a $15 coupon, but never got it and never heard back after my last email. First time on a return or a replacement I feel like they could have made a better effort. I've had many plants from them before, including as gifts. A few died but well after they were received and definitely user error. read more

On 6/25/25 I ordered 2 plants from Succulents Box. I received the order on 6/30/25. The Purple Heart Tradescantia Pallida, $6.58 came damaged. I emailed the company immediately with pictures upon receipt to inform them of the damage. I did not receive a response. On 7/1/25 I emailed them again. Still no response. I called the customer service number and had to leave a voicemail as no one answered. I also attempted to send an inquiry on their website which would not go through. I suspect after reading reviews that this may be a bogus company that just steals money from customers for inferior products. I would like to receive a refund! Buyer Beware!! Do Not Buy From Them! BUYER BEWARE!!! My daughter ordered a succulent arrangement for my 80th birthday listed as coming in a "cement" container! She paid $67.76, including $14.95 shipping!! It arrived cracked to pieces, because it doesn't resemble cement..it is merely some sort of styrofoam "bowl"!! Upon requesting a partial refund to my daughter, it seems they will ship another one or give a $27 credit for future purchase. A future purchase is out, because I am not paying $15 shipping for anything. They do not answer their phones, and it took two emails to get a response! After experiencing a dead plant issue and months of no response from customer service. They finally reached out after my first review on here. When they reached out they kept asking me for the same info that I had previously sent when I was first having the issue with the plant. I followed the instructions on filing a complaint/claim using the email. I sent that off followed by a few others waiting for a response which never came. I also tried to call several times leaving voicemails. In return apparently didn't warrant a response either. Finally after the first review I wrote they reached out. Again asking for everything I sent them already. Low and be hold they had no records or anything from me via email. It was 4+ months before I heard anything back and my emails were all deleted so of course there is nothing they could do!
