I am 40 years old and have never, since the creation of on-line reviews, in my life written a negative review on Yelp or anywhere else but if I can save even one person from completely wasting their money at this horrible excuse for a Med Spa then I will finally feel at peace after my experience. I spent $175 and got absolutely nothing for it but headaches from their useless staff and a fun argument over the phone with the "manager". This place is a joke and any place that takes a credit card number from you before you are even seen for an appointment is super shady in my opinion. They'll get your money somehow because they know you won't be a return customer. A Brazilian bikini wax done by a Brazilian lady?? What a novel idea! For some reason, I trust her more knowing she hails from the Brazilian bikini wax motherland. Whether that's right or wrong, I'll never know. But what I do know is that she does a great job. She's fast, and has never (knock on wood) waxed a part of me that she didn't mean to. And the best part is that they sell this numbing cream that seriously takes away around 80% of the pain from a Brazilian wax. It's a fantastic invention. I've also had a facial, a massage and a body wrap here, and I've loved them all. The staff is extremely friendly, and I always feel comfortable that they're skilled and trained in their specific line of work. The prices aren't that great- and some might think they're a little high, but would you want a super cheap Brazilian bikini wax? I wouldn't. If a spa was offering to do it for $30 or something I'd run like hell in the other direction. I feel like you get what you pay for in some instances and when someone is waxing around in an area such as that, I have no problem paying a nice sum to make sure nothing goes wrong. read more

I have been to this place several times. Many years ago for waxing when that was all the rage! Danielle was the owner and the waxier. It has really grown since then. The building has expanded as well as the business. They use a real Dr. for any procedure,which is a must,and it is very nice and clean. All these things are a must have any time you are going to a spa. They offer a huge variety of services. Sometimes they run deals where you can really get a good price as well. Danielli is the master in terms of bikini wax, and Courtenay does a fab job also. It's worth the drive for the fact that they can get you in, out, and hair-free without breakouts, stray weird hairs, and with minimal pain in the space of 20 minutes or less. This place is GORGEOUS! My ex bought me one of those "guilt" gift certificates and I went to Suddenly Slimmer. I live nearby. The reception room gives you NO idea as to what you will experience once you walk into the salon area. HOLY COW! I had a 90-minutes deep tissue massage, foot reflexology and facial. It was a pumpkin facial and the entire experience was divine. The aesthetician was very knowledgeable and took my humor in stride (sometimes people get scared to operate on a comedian!) and it was a really fun hour! And the smells of what she put on my face. I felt like I was at home on Thanksgiving. The deep tissue massage was in a double room. You can go with your loved ones and have massages together! Awesome concept. The massage therapist is no longer there (it's a bit of a transient profession) and I wish she was. I actually dozed off during the foot reflex part. I would go back, definitely! If not for the price...which is why I took a star off. I realize the work they've put into this place. I guess I'm thankful (a little) that my boyfriend at the time was a total ass and bought me the services, but I couldn't afford to pay for any of it myself. read more

Man, reading these reviews are painful and confusing!! Ladies, are any of you talking to management about your poor experience? Instead of slamming this business on yelp and potentially ruining someone's livelihood you ought to see how the business responds to your concerns which should be a factor when you are rating on this site! firstly, I've done the wraps before, and they helped me take a little off just enough to fit comfortably into my bridesmaid dress. It's not plastic surgery and certainly not a permanent solution, otherwise no one would have to diet or exercise! :) and your not going to go from a size 8 to a size 6!! cmon gals, what were you expecting?? Be realistic. I have been coming here for about 5 years now (ever since I moved here from the east coast) and I can tell you right now that while most of my experience has been positive, I have had times where the experience has been far from perfect. Example... I live about 35 miles away from the spa and booked an appt for a one hour massage. Well the person who I was scheduled to be with did not show up after his lunch!! I was in dire need of a massage with mega pressure since I had just done a half marathon. Needless to say I was not happy about not receiving a massage and having to have waited there, however, I do realize that Suddenly slimmer is not to blame for this person not showing up. What is in SS's control is how they handle the situation. Well, they were extremely professional, pulled me aside, apologized profusely, and insisted that I come back to the spa to get the massage on the house. That is how you treat a customer if you care about their business!! Nobody has control of what their employees do (or don't do). I think the bottom line is the individual you deal with.. I mostly book my waxing and facial appointments with Dannielli and she is great... Luckily for me, everyone else I have used besides her have been great. Unfortunately, not enough of the good reviews get written I would recommend to you yelpers to give this place a try. You will definitely not be disappointed with Dannielli. If you do have a bad experience here (which I really never have), talk to management!!! Don't wait for them to find your review on here... make them earn your business and if they can't make it up to you after that, then write your review accordingly. I know for a fact that they want to hear your concerns and they care about making their business better whether that means training their staff better or other adjustments :)... I recently went here for a Vi precision peel plus and received one with a sunscreen application immediately after the application of the peel that neutralizes the peel. You will never get the results you were hoping to receive. Worst customer service. Manager is extremely rude. I bought a bundle of 3 Clearlift treatments and read that the treatment should take 30 to 45 minutes on each area. I had face neck and chest but only ten minutes on each area. I also had a dermal infusion which I thought sounded great but was a short 15 minute treatment for $147! I feel disappointed as I see no visible results and don't expect to after such short treatments. I have two more clear lifts and hope I get the full 30 minutes per area next time. read more

I don't get the bad reviews. None of this was my experience either time I was here. I haven't been in since 2008 only because I am from out of town. They were great then and they're great now. Due to accidents my back is quite messed up and some therapists try to "cure" me instead of trelax me. First time in years that I did not have any back pain after receiving a massage. Well I am a fatty and after a rigorous hike, my legs and back were aching so I dropped in for a massage and they were able to accommodate me within 15 minutes. I wanted it deep and hard, now now that's naughty. To release those tight muscles, you know. This is getting worse. Okay, Tawny was wonderful, the hot towels warmed up the muscles and she certainly did make it hurt, but in a good way and I actually felt the tight leg muscles relax. If you're looking to correct your face this is not definitely the place for it. I didn't listen the bad reviews of this place and "yes" it happens to me too. I was waiting a couple of days just to make sure if this would be something that would disappear because I'm not a complain person but it's been 2 weeks since my procedure there and it's getting a little better yes but it's been a couple of days feeling myself as a freak. Reaction to the injections "maybe" but what I know is that I'll not recommended this place to anyone. I've should listened these bad reviews and now I regret to ignore these reviews . I went to this place because I wanted to lift my nose a little bit and correct it. I don't know exactly what the doctor injected me in because, as they say, they work with hyaluronic acid. I just know I've never had reaction before to any medicine or injections or even food. Not even a little. To my opinion you guys should look for another place to do this kind of stuff. My nose is a mess right now as you can see in the pictures. I went to them and they explained to me that it could be a reaction of my body or maybe some infection I got because of touching my nose. They gave me Arnica cream to put on topical and just told me that it would get better with time. I really wanted to like this place because they have so many seemingly great facial offerings. I love facials and get them as often as I can. I was really disappointed in the service. I originally went in for a Oxygen facial, but after talking with the Esthetician I was really looking for a hydration facial. There was a lack of communication when it came to preforming the facial and I had to ask what she was doing when she was poking my face with a needle. Super unsettling... I walked out of there with dried blood on my face. For being a hydrating facial my face felt very dry and tight afterwards. No "afterglow" here. Not impressed with the service or quality of facial. I do not recommend this place to anyone and will not return. I feel like I just wasted $99. read more

I just recently decided to try the CO 2 laser and all I can say is WOW ... just a week after my treatment and I can already see the difference in my skins texture and smoothness ... and I still have a few more weeks to see the final results!!!
