Not enough organic produce not enough vegan food options in dry section or the frozen section. Self checkout line was long, but I got the help when I needed.

This is still a good neighborhood Walmart. There's ample parking. The grocery and produce areas are decent. The other areas simply don't have the robust inventory of competitors. I was looking for a cheap handbag and found very few. I later went to a competitor who had 4x more. That's just the nature of this small Walmart. It's solid for what it is.

This is the customer service where the sign clearly states that they will happily refund as long as it's within 90 days

Pablo at customer service as well as manager Anthony stated that pharmacy items cannot be returned within 90 days for store credit even though their science clearly states that they will.

I'm not a routine beer drinker. However, once in awhile I find myself in need of the beautiful creation... You know, just a sip under a shade tree, contemplating the universe. I've found no better selection and price than my friendly road side WM Superstore. Now,where's that lake Go!

Spcacious and clean walmart next to many other shops and restaurants! The selection of food is great, as well as other household items. The employees were nice, and the self check out was very convenient

I've been using the Walmart self-checkout at 2525 W Anderson Ln for years now, it's always been kind of crappy. Recently they updated the store and the POS systems. I was excited that they would have fixed the issues and made it a quicker, more seamless experience. Unfortunately, they have accomplished the total opposite. 1. While the new UI may look a bit nicer. They took a laggy system and made it even laggier. about 1/4 of my finger presses are not registered anymore. This is really bad guys, it's like using a 10-year-old tablet and incredibly frustrating. 2. The old system had this annoying aspect when you wanted to check out produce, there would be a button that said: "Produce". Now it says "Look up item" to make it less clear. Then a dialog that's at least 3 years old says "Checking out produce just got easier!, just scan it" Tomatoes and many others don't have codes on them. So I always have to click TWICE to get to a laggy keyboard, plus now it's not clear how to even get to that screen. 3. The new system has bugs too! I scanned an avocado and it asked me to enter the code, which was you know, on the label I just scanned. 4. You can't just checkout now, you get to also select how you want your receipt. Email / Text or Print? Well, 10 yards from the POS system, you have a guy who wants to look at your receipt. So I guess if you want to save a tiny amount of paper you could do that, but who will? Nearly nobody, so don't make everyone select it every time. 5. Two ways to improve this. First, have a button that says "enter produce item" for people that already know about scanning produce. The 2nd thing is list the top 5-6 items that people enter. At HEB that's what they do and it's way better. 6. I pay with my Citi double points card. Now instead of just completing the sale they try to get me to spend my points at a rip-off exchange rate. So now there is more button presses, plus an annoyance. Another annoyance: 1. This isn't POS related, but my Walmart now has an annoying chime go off every 1-2 minutes with store-wide alerts. It's insanely annoying. Please just stop. 2. They have removed 40 parking spaces for online pickup. Perhaps sometime in the future this will be used, however right now there are max 2-3 cars actually doing this. Instead it steals good parking for the rest of us. 3. The rotisserie chicken used to come in a container like every other store has done forever. However, at this Walmart, they come in a bag. It has a zipper top that constantly gets caught up in itself and your hands are going to get messy trying to get chicken out. Why?!?

    They've done wall for themselves

If it were Willmart, they'd sell Last Wills And Testaments, but it's not so they don't. This is not our favourite Walmart, but we were able to find a few of the things we wanted. The parking lot is a total zoo which is annoying, but in general it's a decent Walmart and we were able to get tanning lotion and a few of the grocery items that we needed, so it was fine.

However, this time was a lot different and I was able to find the perfect gifts for my friend's birthday as well as fun items for myself. It seems like the selection has remained the same although Atown is keeping up with current and modern trends. For example, there were a lot of ICE based items tucked away as well as current celebrity crushes who are on everybody's minds. The coolest thing I found was a James Talarico candle but other than that, a lot of the items that were for sale were pretty kitschy and I believe they are the same wholesale items I have seen before. I must shoutout the incredibly helpful service from Audrey who went above and beyond to help me find items for my friend's birthday. She was super sweet, and I would've been wandering around the store aimlessly if it wasn't for her direction. Additionally, she even came up with combination gift ideas which was pretty sick. Atown is lucky to have her! I think my PTSD is no longer because of her assistance. Great store, unfortunately high prices. However, no one does it like Atown!

There are 3 or 4 separate areas you can visit and they have things from locally made earrings and art to coasters, desk plates, rubber ducks of famous people, religious candles with random famous people, funny socks, clothes, and so much more. The staff is friendly and outgoing, they even had a woman at the door greeting you and offering you a hand basket if you wanted or needed one. There were 3 or 4 cashiers and at least one lady walking around greeting you and seeing if they could help. It is pricier then your chain store but the products are cooler, unique, and many times locally made. Things you can't get at other stores or amazon. Like so many places, it's one downside is parking. It is a small lot, if you part in front you basically have to back in to spot blocking traffic or back out into traffic. There is a small side lot that is better but you basically have to 3 point turn out of that spot. Always willing to pay a bit more to support local. We don't get out of our area/comfort zone much but we do love this place. #Supportlocal

There were two security guards, a short one and a tall one. The short one was friendly and opened the door. Apparently they have locks on the bathroom doors now. The the second taller security guard named Joe, who I believe is autistic, FOLLOWED ME INTO THE BATHROOM. Without me realizing it, he was WATCHING ME PEE from behind waiting for me to finish. I thought he needed to use the urinal so I stepped aside as I was done. I went to wash my hands, HE THEN FLUSHED THE TOLIET for me as if I'm a five-year-old, not knowing what to do. I thought it was a joke. I think he was trying to keep the place very clean. Needless to say this is where it started to get creepy. As I was drying my hands, I joked with him about the heavy security, and what was he doing following me into the bathroom? He then in a stone cold almost robotic tone, asked me to leave the property that I was now trespassing. Now I came to this location for an event around the corner at that same location. There's multiple businesses here. There were no signs for my event. That's why I asked for directions and then I needed to use the bathroom. There is nothing outside the realm of weird in me doing any of this. I drive a nice vehicle, and I was properly dressed for the event. At that point, he began following me to the parking lot. I asked him "what are you doing, I am going to my event" he said you need to leave, I laughed, and I said yes trust me I am leaving. And he was also filming me with his phone. (who is this guy and who hired him?) and said he was calling the police on me. At this point, we had crossed into the world of weirdness and I asked him I need to see your superior. I mentioned this to the other security guard working who pretended to be his superior. He didn't think it was very big deal or outside the realm of strange. I'm a grown adult and this was bizarre. I'm not some homeless person. I was dressed nicely, and these two people were acting like I was some homeless person camping out in the bathroom I don't know who runs that place but both of the security guards need to be fired immediately. I felt very shaken up afterwards I have never been treated like that. There's no excuse. I can only imagine what travesty of justice actually happens here I wasn't shaken up because I done something wrong. I was shaken up because this 6' 5" autistic person has some role of authority, and he should not be working at this job whatsoever. He had no emotion when he spoke with me. I'm not kidding when I say he was like a robot. It was creepy. I was more worried for the women and children that attend the hockey ring next-door, and may have a similar experience with this nut job who again followed me into the bathroom and watched me pee and proceeded to tell me I was now trespassing after I was done. I've seen this before people buy a piece of property and then they have some management company who doesn't know what they're doing oversee and manage it. The actual owner of the businesses and property have no idea what really happens here If that's how this business operates, you need to sell your business it's not appropriate. This is Austin, Texas not California. We don't treat people like that here. I have nothing against autistic people, but in this case and point this gentleman should not have any authority. He should be bagging groceries and maybe not even working with the public.
