Vivian is simply amazing! After my last disastrous manicure, I was a little scarred and wasn't sure who to trust anymore. But thanks to a trustworthy family referral, I found Vivian. I really lucked out that she was available during the short time I visited Socal. Vivian's skills are amazing! I never felt any pain, unlike my other manicure in San Jose from this other salon, and it was so comfortable the entire time. She asked questions and made really good suggestions. She definitely knows what she's doing! When I evaluated my nails, it was such good quality and amazing that within the short time she worked on me. Everything was done so well! I'M A VERY HAPPY CLIENT! Vivian and Tammy are so sweet! I've found my new, favorite salon! Been wearing acrylics for 20+ years, but decided to try applying only the gel (pink & white). I've gone to Vivian Tammy Nail & Spa three times so far and I've been VERY happy! The gel lasts me no less than 4 weeks without any chipping. I work in the aerospace machining industry, so I'm constantly inspecting metal parts and I type most of my day, yet these hold up very well!! I do start with very short lengths, which may play a part in how long they last. (Don't forget sunscreen on your hands before going under the light. Vivian also has fingerless gloves. First time here, all I can say is WOW!!! My nails (Vivian) look sooooo amazing. She did the gel chrome and shaped them perfectly!! I like them thin and narrow. I was very happy with her work!! She was also very fast!! My pedicure (Tammy) was absolutely heavenly!! I broke my toe and she was so gentle and sweet. I was afraid at first but didn't feel any pain. My pedicure was an hour long and let me tell you, it was the BEST!! She gives the best massages. My feet were happy!! I'm looking forward to coming back!! I did a lot of research picking a go to nail salon down in Irvine since my usual nail person is 8 hours away and I'm down here for college. I showed a picture of pink & white ombre coffin style nails and she did an amazing job. I did wish she was more gentle because I got a small nick from the filer, but the pros outweigh the small con. I needed a quick mani-pedi for my engagement shoot and contacted this salon last week on Yelp to see what their availability was. They were quick to respond and I was able to book myself an appointment for yesterday. I came in at my appointment time and was greeted by Diana. She immediately started working on my pedicure and gave the attention my feet deserved. A few minutes later, Kim shows up and starts working on my manicure. The ladies were so sweet, making sure everything was to my liking. They even gave me the option of paying first so that my nails don't get ruined later. I definitely would be coming back A few things: the ladies work in pairs so that you would get both your manicure and pedicure done at the same time; they only do appointments and accommodate for one client at a time; Mondays are short days but are the best days, because the hair stylists are off Mondays so you get some peace and quiet. read more

Messaged the owner last week to schedule an appt for this Wednesday at 4:30 (tomorrow). Received a message today confirming my appt for 3:30 today - responded that my appt was in fact for tomorrow, not today, but I could come in earlier if anything was available. I was offered times that did not work so I opted to stick to my original time at 4:30. I received a response stating she was booked all week but I could come in on Saturday. What happened to my appt?! She didn't even know when I was scheduled for and apparently had given my appt time to someone else. This was the first time I visited this nail salon and EXTREMELY IMPRESSED with Kim's work!!! I requested an appointment from yelp and she was able to get me in the very next day. I never had fake nails before, and I had a wedding I was going to the next week so I asked Kim's opinion between acrylics or gel and she suggested hard gel extensions with gel on top. This way, if I decide not to keep them, they wouldn't ruin my nails. Her nails are good, but she races through them so fast that she burns and nicks my fingers. She seems to care more about the number of people she can do in one day.
