    Hot chocolate with roasted marshmallow
    Wendy H.

I went to a show at Joe's Pub featuring Amber Iman. It was a wonderful mix of storytelling and holiday music. She shared that she and her boyfriend had made it their mission to try as many hot chocolate stands and cafes throughout the city as possible. Their favorite hot chocolate spot? Sugar Hill Creamery! Lucky for me, it's right in my neighborhood and I can go on my way home from picking up my kid. What a treat that not only warms me to my bones but also reminds me of the beautiful sonorous voice of Amber Iman! Win-win!

Superlative!!! Unusual flavors, tasting helps you choose, and the teen who served us yesterday (I want to say his name is Cody, but I'm not 100% on that) was delightful to chat with. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Right after we got our indulgences, double scoop for each of us, it got pretty busy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Great to see a family business thrive!

My friend, her husband and I ended up here kind of by accident, and I'm so glad we did. We went out to eat, and my friend wanted chocolate ice cream for dessert but the restaurant ran out. We walked a couple blocks and found Sugar Hill Creamery open late, around 10:30 pm. I ordered cookies and cream with caramel, which was delicious, and my friend got a double scoop of chocolate (her favorite). She loved it. Her husband didn't get ice cream, but he was fine with the free water they had set up. The three of us sat and talked until closing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The shop has a nice, cozy feel, and it was busy even that late at night.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I really liked that they were open late because sometimes you just want something sweet after dinner. They had so many flavors to choose from, but I kept it simple and went with my favorite. I'll definitely go back to try more.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Great spot to cool down on today's sizzling summer day![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service: Good Quantity: Small [[HIGHLIGHT]]Cleanliness: Fair[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Price: Fair One of my favorite places for vanilla ice cream -- and not just any vanilla. Their Andy Griffith Vanilla Bean is something special. Made with pastured milk and cream from Saratoga Springs, it's so silky-smooth and rich you can actually taste the difference real vanilla beans make. Sure, the scoop is on the smaller side, but every bite is pure, creamy perfection. The kind of flavor that makes you close your eyes and go mmm. Definitely worth it -- and definitely coming back for another scoop (or two)!

    Strawberry guava ice cream

I have been to several Sugar Hill Creamery places and they are all decadent and delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The stations are always clean and the menu is always whimsical.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was very pleasant and I wasn't surprised to see that since all locations have very nice staff. I ordered the strawberry guava ice cream and was not disappointed at all. Very smooth, creamy, tropical flavoring. Pleasantly pleased and satisfactory tasting. I love me some ice cream and will always hunt out a good place after fulfilling my savory requirements. I would highly suggest a Sugar Hill Creamery spot as it has multiple forms of ice creams to choose from.

    Green Carts + Buggin Out
    Rachel W.

Pretty solid ice cream and very reasonably priced! Sugar Hill has an assorment of unique flavors, and there's just enough options where you don't feel overwhelmed. I really enjoyed the Green Carts flavor (strawberry basil, shortbread, and lemon curd), and Buggin Out was a safe choice for me. My only critique is that the Green Carts flavor was a little icy. I looked back to see if perhaps this was a sorbet, but it was not - it should've been creamy like the Buggin Out was. Not quite sure what happened with this batch... I appreciate how they provide water! It was hot and ice cold water was greatly appreciated. Limited seating indoors.

    Hello Nu world
    Savannah S.

I got the Nu World with Oreo crumbles on top, and it definitely satisfied my sweet tooth. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The shop is super cute and reflective of the culture of Harlem![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff was kind and allowed me to try a couple different flavors. There are probably 6-7 flavors available if I remember correctly, and they are all creative. Definitely a place to try if you're in Harlem!

DELICIOUS homemade tasting, best sundae I've ever had with thick choco syrup! Excellent staff as well.

My friend has raved about Sugar Hill Creamery for a while and I was finally able to go! [[HIGHLIGHT]]First impressions walking in are that it's the cutest and most inviting little shop I've been to in a while and the gentleman behind the counter was so welcoming, patient and informative.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had the hot cocoa which is topped with a torched marshmallow... that cocoa!!??!! OMG! It's like a melted chocolate bar ... rich, thick, sugary, creamy ... ALL THE THINGS! I can see why my friend raved about it for so long! I am definitely coming back to try the ice cream, coffee and to sip on a little more cocoa while it's still chilly outside. LOVE THIS PLACE!

Kids corner with chalk provided in back seating area
    Alexis A.

I've been to Sugar Hill Creamy a few times and the ice cream is absolutely delicious and rich. It's creamy and flavorful. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There are thoughtful parts of this establishment such as kids books, a chalk board with chalk provided and free water with little cups[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] however [[HIGHLIGHT]]the music being played wasn't very kid friendly. It seems like this shop would be a family friendly place but the music was a little vulgar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I like all types of music but I do feel there is a time and a place. The service was pleasant. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a cute local spot with great ice cream.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

After a few days in the city together, my friend and I stopped in for breakfast before parting ways. The vibe was cozy, relaxed, and welcoming, exactly what you want from a local coffee shop. The giant windows lend a ton of natural light, especially for place that almost needs to wait until midday for some sunshine. The bagels absolutely hit the spot: fresh, satisfying, and exactly what we needed. Nothing overly complicated, just solid, well-executed breakfast. They have pastries and sandwiches, as well, but your girl needed a real New York bagel before this trip was through. What really stood out for me, though, was the hot cider on special. It was warm, spiced just right, and comforting for a November morning. I could easily see this shop as a regular go-to of mine if I lived in the neighborhood.

Yes, a kale salad and a guava waffle. Stay with me. The salad is fresh, savory, and hearty, especially with the grilled chicken. Taking a bite of the savory chicken and kale, followed by that soft guava waffle, gives me the perfect sweet-and-savory meal. It should not work as beautifully as it does, but it absolutely does. And the brown sugar latte? Always. It's smooth, comforting, and sweet without tasting like someone poured syrup into a cup and called it coffee. The space has the easy, unhurried feeling of a neighborhood coffee shop, but the menu is giving a real brunch experience. I ended up starving and looking for a place in the neighborhood for a breakfast sandwich. Rimar looked good from the outside, there were a bunch of banners announcing them as a "brand new" business having a "grand opening". Once inside, I realized that was probably not true. Looking around, I didn't see any coffee nor was there any kind of posted menu indicating the possibility of breakfast sandwiches. The man behind the counter was friendly enough though, and took my order for 2 bacon, egg and cheese sandwiches on a roll. He also indicated that he DID have coffee. Great! While I was waiting in the store for 15 minutes for my order. I noticed a woman (maybe another owner) casing the place down and staring at everyone who entered. I noticed that the rest of the store sold only a bleak selection of junk food. There was nothing interesting on the shelves!
