Solid Pinkberry location! They allow you to sample flavors and they have a variety of flavors and toppings too. I always end up gravitating towards the original but it's nice to see their seasonal flavors like ube honey. The service is friendly and prompt. Last night, I made the mistake of ordering the spiciest entree known to man! We basically had to run here afterwards in order to save our tastebuds. They had some outside seating available and no indoor seating. The line went by pretty quickly. I tried to quickly download their app but, honestly, it was huge hassle. The yogurt was amazing I have been to many other pink berry locations so I wasn't surprised. This location has a good amount of seats and the staff was very friendly. This location embodies the tried and trued high quality froyo that has made Pinkberry iconic and it offers the same wide array of toppings (including a few new ones such as the blueberry muffin crumbles!) that you customarily find at Pinkberry. I really appreciate how this location in particular has a very organized way of having the cash register up front and then the toppings bar behind it. It makes the line go very efficiently! I find that this location has some flavors that other locations doesn't have (i.e. this location serves low fat strawberry ice cream and most places in New York City do not). Okay, so I HATE the coolest, hippest thing, and when my name-dropping, desperate to be "in" acquaintance gloated to me that he stood an hour and a half this summer to get him some Pinkberry, well, it was pretty much over for me then. And I was mildly amused/bewildered at the Pinkberry craze that unfolded, and further intruiged when I read conspiracy theories online about how it's not "really" a dairy product and is instead some sort of secret powder mixture, and so on and so forth. All the same, I figured when the cold set in, and more storefronts opened and everyone realized if there were more than 1 it couldn't be that awesome anymore, I'd go. And go I did, the other week, choosing this one perhaps because of its surly Hot Topic-reject employees, one of whom was off the clock but not willing to go home and start her homework, and opting instead to harass her co-workers and text her friends. Clearly this was a sign of decadence and high quality fro-yo! I asked for the original, after some debate, with strawberries, mango, and mochi. I decided to go all out! I had heard how great the fresh fruit was with the tart yogurt, and then the girl in front of me got mochi and I thought that sounded like a good idea. I asked for it to stay, which must have been a mistake, because the kids at work proceeded to kind of glare at me (i also overheard them talking about how pinkberry "wasn't all that"). So I dug in. And.. meh. All I could think of, was that I was eating frozen Fage, with fruit. For like 6 bucks. I was eating a big styrofoam cup of soft serve Fage Greek yogurt. I persevered though, waiting for that epiphany of how AWESOME this was, and how SEXY it was going to make me. Nothing changed though, and I eventually trudged through the street with half a cup of goop, tired of the sassy attitudes of the kids working there. And to be sure, I did finish it, and I didn't think it was bad, per se, but certainly not worth the hype. I think I'd like to go back and try the green tea, and maybe a different topping but I dunno. This Pinkberry is a totes hotspot for depressed Columbians wanting a lovely forzen yogurt pick-me-up. I don't know why there's all these haters for this Pinkberry. The manager Arturo is a fabulous, lovely person who always greets with a smile or a sly comment. The staff is also very friendly. It might not be the biggest Pinkberrry ever, but when the line isn't out the door, it has an intimate feel where one can chill with friends eating delicious yogurt listening to cool tunes in a bright cheery place. Sad to say she only lasted for about 5 min on being the cheerful person that she is, when we couldnt decide that very instant on what to get. This particular Morningside Heights locale has a super duper friendly staff. The line gets long and hairy and often flows out the door, and they handle it efficiently, and with a smile to boot. Not so easy with some of the rancid Colombia students I've seen here (no offense to non-rancid Colombia students, of course) Alas, some of my favorite flavors have gone to the wayside. Green Tea? Coconut? I just tried the Watermelon flavor, and it tasted nothing like watermelon - just a generic fruit like taste. The Pomegranate is OK. One good new thing - you now get all the toppings you want for a flat rate, rather than paying per topping. Gluttony made easy - always a good thing. Still a bit pricey though. I think my love affair with Pinkberry has slowly fizzled out over time. Before I moved to NYC a few months ago, I saw the yogurt store boom begin. Every neighborhood had a place with the word "berry" in it or some clever take on yogurt. I tried one that wasn't all that impressive and basically left me with the impression that they all sucked. ....Until I tried pinkberry. My first visit, I stupidly decided to get a mini size plain, which only allows you to get 2 toppings. How stupid. On my second visit, I got it right. Small chocolate and plain swirl with brownie pieces, strawberries and chocolate shavings (I don't think that is the real name though). This place is pretty top notch and the only real strike against them is that they have such a small store front that the paying area gets crowded by idiots who can't walk out of the store once they pay.
