My office had become increasingly hot and unbearable despite the air coming through the vents. I called Bill with Sugar-land A/C who found irregularities in the ductwork installation. He re structured them to code . I immediately felt relief in that office as well as the other rooms in the home experiencing the same fate. I wish I had called sooner. The owner came out late on a Saturday when the AC in a house I just bought wasn't getting the job done. He discovered the unit was over charged so he was able to drain a lot of coolant. He tried not to even charge me for the visit, but said the compressor was probably going to need replacement soon. He ordered the part and brought it out to install... then he told me it seemed to be working just fine and he would return the part! No charge again... but I insisted on giving a tip. THE BEST AC GUY IN TOWN!!! read more

If you are reading this review, you probably are trying to determine which company you should trust. More importantly, we all ask ourselves if we can trust the reviews we are reading. When I needed AC service, I reached out to the installer and was told it would take two weeks to send someone out. I started checking for an alternative and decided to call Sugar Land AC. I got a quick Saturday appointment and Manuel not only showed up on time but also called to confirm before his arrival. It turned out that my Freon was low. I was offered the choice to top up the system or do a leak test. I asked what would be the best option and I was told that I could pay for Freon now but I'd need to have a leak test regardless. The best use of my time was to get the diagnosis sooner rather than later so I agreed to the leak test. Manuel explain in detail where the condenser leak was and the options. William (owner and CEO) arrived to assist Manuel and I was impressed by just how involve the owner was and most importantly, he treated his Tech with respect. William discussed the repair cost and what impressed me most was his philosophy: pricing karma. He said he doesn't over charge his customers because that practice just comes back to haunt a business. The install was scheduled two days later and the team arrived promptly. William and his brother arrived to assist and the condenser change out took a few hours. The guys were professional and most importantly I felt like had we met under normal circumstances, we all could be friends. Who wants to hand hard earned money to folks you feel like could care less about you; not me. I suggest you give Sugar Land AC the chance to earn your business. I tell you what, when I need a annual maintenance or a full upgrade, I certainly will connect with this company again. read more

As a matter of fact there was a misunderstanding in the quote as I thought it included new ducts, but it did not. But James replaced for free due to the misunderstanding on my part. He did not have to do that because it was my mistake in communication. Prior to that I had 2 other hvac systems installed by another company. So I called that company that did the install to repair one. Within hours of repairing one hvac, the other failed. So I had to wait over the weekend for them to return to fix the hvac and on Monday my schedule. Then I decided to use Richmond Air for the repair. I only would be at my house from 8:30 to 10am due to a departing flight. I called Richmond Air at 7:30 AM on Monday to see if they could send someone to my house within the hour. The owner, James showed up with a staff member. So the other company's staff accidentally let out my Freon. James called the company and explained the mistake for me and arranged for them to replace my Freon for free. That is honestly and great customer service. He could have replaced the Freon and charged me, which is expensive and let me figure out the situation with the other company. So that deserves my business and yours. Trustworthy, competence and great pricing. I hope this review helps you select Richmond Air. I am confident you will be happy with the work and you will feel that you have gotten great value for the service.

I called Sun based on their reviews and they said they could send someone out within hours. Richard arrived promptly, listened to me describe what had been happening with the furnaces, and then very patiently and thoroughly checked and tested both units. He was very patient and explained what he was doing. I am a woman but I am the "handy person" in our house and many times technicians will assume that I am clueless. Richard fixed the problem (there was condensate trapped in the line) and then stayed to make sure the systems were running correctly. It was an absolute delight to work with him and I will never go back to my old HVAC service again. Side note: Sun charged me less to fix the problem than what my old HVAC company charged for the service call that yielded no diagnosis or fix.

The business owner, Bill was very responsive to my request and had a competitive quote for me in no time. Once he had my approval, the turnaround time for install was almost immediate. Our home was built in 1973 with air ducts that were very difficult to access, but we really needed new air ducts. Bill's bid was the best out of 4 and he was the only one offering antimicrobial ducts. Bill was also the only one who pointed that our previous A/C group installed and positioned the furnace so that you could not properly perform any maintenance. The ductwork in my attic was original (1983) to the house and barely hanging on in some places, so Bill and his crew came in and replaced all the old ductwork with state of the art antimicrobial ductwork plus a UV light and anti microbial spray in each vent. They completed the job in one day in addition to adding a new vent in the laundry room. They are professional, thorough, friendly and loyal to their customers.
