Ideal Air installed a fantastic Trane 2 speed A/C 6 years ago. They have maintained both of my A/C units even though they did install the 2nd unit the year before. They diagnosed the problem with the other unit and made it much more efficient. Recently I had a failure with the condenser fan motor. I was extremely happy with my technician Allen from before he even started which says a lot about the company itself! He was definitely a people person & knowledgeable in people skills from when he came to the door, to when he finished! You want that when someone is taking care of something as important as your home! I am someone who asks a lot of questions & he answered some of them before I could ask them. He took time to explain what the recommendations were, and the choices I had & explained the differences... He was friendly, professional, polite, respectful and very informative... And even though I am a person who is interested in the details. I never felt like I was rushed or had a bad question! I was excited to leave a the best review because if you're like me & my husband, we've gone through a lot of companies & technicians that would come and perform a service & was in & out w/out any explanations of what was needed & some of them were not so pleasant or friendly or helpful & didn't take the time to make sure I understood all what they'd done before & after that made me feel I could trust them personally & professionally... And when I have someone working on something that is as important, such as heating & AC, or any work that is considered maintenance, I want to know what it is I can expect and feel that the person is qualified in giving me all the information I need to make a informed decision best for where I am in my life... I told Allen we've had their other technicians at the house a few times & all were great! And im definitely very happy w/ the company and him! Our AC stopped working last night. Our phone message to Ideal Air was answered first thing this morning. Allen came out and diagnosed the problem with the outside unit. The recent brownouts caused the mother board to go the fritz. Although the original time to get the new part was estimated to take 4 - 6 weeks (that a month and half without AC!), Allen worked his connections with the manufacturer to obtain a loaner part. He has worked all day to restore our cool air. This is a company you will love! read more

Allen and Robert came out to do maintenance. They were wonderful and so helpful. I had an issue with my master bedroom not cooling and they fixed it. I am so comfortable now. After having been really screwed over by Abacus Air, our family spent nearly a week in the Houston summer sun without AC. Fortunately we ended up checking the Check-a-Pro website and found Ideal Air. We called and left a message to be called back, and were within a few hours! The following day, Eric arrived and quickly assessed the situation and offered exactly the right solution at a price half that of Abacus. While we waited for the unit to arrive, he even helped get our old AC (on its last legs) to stumble through for a few more days. I was kept advised of the progress of our order, even to the point of having the workers arrive three days earlier than scheduled! Eric was a great communicator, an honest individual, and a delight to deal with. The work was completed on-time, on-budget and with great care taken. We've used Ideal Air for years and in 2 different houses. From scheduling to completion, we've always been satisfied. Latest issue was coil replacement. Lead tech (Eric) came out, diagnosed problem as well as suggested zoning air differently. Scheduled replacement and re-zoning for the next day. It's been a month and a half, we are already seeing cost savings on energy bill while enjoying a cooler bedroom at night. read more

James installed my AC/Heat 10 years ago. The AC recently went out, so I called Ideal Air of Katy Texas again since I thought I was happy with their prior new installation service. Their technician came out and determined that the low voltage line that runs from the unit outside to the unit in the attic was bad and needed to be replaced. Turns out the low voltage line that is bad was the original line that came with the unit when the house was build in 76'. This line was not replaced when Ideal Air installed my new AC and heating units. Now it has costs me close to $500 to have this problem diagnosed and repaired. I sent a email to the place of business, who contacted me to inform me that they forwarded my concerns to the owner. 6 weeks later and I have heard nothing. My allegiance with this company is no more. read more
