    Fried Chicken Wing Breakfast Platter
    Na H.

Came here for breakfast. Sugar Mama's is an order online, pickup restaurant. There is no dine in option. I placed my order online, paid, and they gave me a pickup time. There is only street parking and it can get full quick, but there are side streets you can park on that are steps away. Upon entering, the ambiance was quiet with the smell of French toast, fried chicken and fried fish in the air, which was a good thing. I gave the pleasant young lady my order number and she gathered my order. We ordered the chicken wing breakfast platter with cheese egg and home fries; the French toast breakfast platter with egg (no cheese) and home fries, an order of grits, and a blue lemonade. My wait was not long. The waiting area in the restaurant is VERY small, so waiting in your car until your order time would be ideal. Our food was still warm when we got it home. The chicken wing platter was good: chicken fresh, crispy, not greasy; the home fries were seasoned well; the eggs were not my favorite, they were bland even with the cheese; the grits, although I don't eat them, my other party said they were cooked well they just needed salt and pepper. The French toast platter was a true winner: the French toast was delicious and needed NO syrup! Light, fluffy and with just the right amount of sweetness. You can also get the French toast as the bread for your breakfast sandwich! Gonna have to try one the next time. The blue lemonade was really sweet, so if that's your thing, you won't be disappointed. All in all, a great breakfast (they sell lunch too) place to come pick up a great meal.

I'd like to start this review with a tip: if you plan to order from this place, make sure to order online, as they do not accept walk-in customers. With that said, I love this restaurant! The staff is courteous and friendly. The establishment is a typical carryout, and despite what others say about the neighborhood being sketchy, it looks like a standard neighborhood to me. I felt safe and followed my usual rules when in Baltimore: don't stare, and mind your own business. I ordered grits with cheese, eggs, and a sausage, egg, and cheese French toast, and everything was fantastic. I will definitely come back!

Wednesday 3/26/25 This spot came to my attention from a Mrchimetime TikTok review, and he had ALOT of praise for some of the items, so I had to get them. The waffles and jerk chicken cheesesteak were among the popular items he reviewed, but unfortunately, those items have been removed from the menu. I made a takeout order online and got the French toast sandwich $10.27 and the pancakes & wings $17. Also, the spot is a strictly takeout spot so don't expect any seating. - The French toast sandwich was great. The batter they use is on point, and they either sprinkle some sugar on it or toss it in it to get that sweet French toast taste and flavor. - The pancakes and wings were alright, but nothing about either item was particularly noteworthy or worth getting again. While the pancakes & wings were disappointing, the French toast sandwich was a HIT and is definitely an item I'd come back for.

Ms Shina has the best food in south Baltimore hands down. My apologies if I cannot find a pic but my reviews don't lie. If you have not been, just GO. Everything is delicious, even the drinks. I once had an issue and dm'd Shina and she made everything whole. Regardless of that, I would have still supported. I said everything was amazing now go try it. Order online for faster results but the wait times are not like before. Enjoy and tell Ms Shina MiMi sent you!

Let me just say, I had to travel waaaaay across town for this food and my goodness it was worth it. I pre-ordered fish, eggs, bacon, chicken wings, fried potatoes, French toast, grits, half n half, and a blue magic drink. The location is very small inside, so just wait in your car until you receive the message that your food is ready. When I arrived, I waited an extra 20 minutes for my food & it came out hot and fresh! Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection! What stole the show was those perfectly seasoned chicken wings and fried potatoes. I am going back tomorrow for those items specifically! Yes, they were that good! I spent about $70 for all my food to include the drinks, and I'll do it again! Disclaimer, I am not a sweets person, I know the name of this place is called Sugar Mamma's, so I took a chance going here. The half n half and blue magic drinks were very sweet, I had to cut it with water. With that, I would still go back and buy it again lol. I only have a few photos of my food as I couldn't wait to dig into it. Next time.

So I decided to finally give Sugar Mama's a taste. After always seeing the food on Instagram I ordered something to see if it lives up to the hype. The food was amazing this was easily some of the best salmon I've ever tasted. I still don't know what's the sauce they put on it but it's delicious. My only thing is the location was hard for me to find parking & had to park a block up but other than that I had no issues. Have to circle back for another update cause I heard the breakfast is can't miss as well

I came to visit my daughter from Houston. I told her to go on tik tok to find us somewhere to eat cause I was starving. She sent this spot so we took the 27 minute drive. I already knew the spot would not compare to Texas breakfast because of course we do everything better, but they proved me wrong. The food was awesome! I wont lie, we came prepared for a sit down breakfast but this is a take out only spot. You walk in and you see the chefs in action!! You order online and you wait til they text you that it's ready. Don't let the neighborhood stop you from going. Park on the street and you will be fine. I got the fried salmon and grits and they were to die for!! My daughter got the French toast sandwich but you have to be ready for the sweet and savory! And that Kool aid definitely will have you knocking on diabetes door. We definitely plan on returning tomorrow.

Omg i ate this food so fast... I'm not a big breakfast person but everything was so good. This review is based solely on sampling off someone else's DoorDash order. The food did arrive warm. Bacon crispy Eggs I don't even eat eggs like that but they were amazing The French toast was very tasty you don't need syrup. The grits were a perfect consistency needed more salt and pepper but tasty nonetheless. I've been hesitant about going to the location to try them but I will be door dashing them soon.

Ordered via delivery. Fish and grits dish was well seasoned, but I wish the fish was put in a separate container for delivery so it didn't get soggy

Sugar Mamas did not miss! We had the French toast platter with Fried Chicken, the turkey bacon French toast sandwich, and home fries--every bite was flavor packed. Heads up: the wait can be long, so order online and wait a bit before arriving. Definitely worth the wait!

Baltimore is always an adventure I will say that lol. The food is delicious here, might not look it but it is. I had the best fried fish from here. So fresh and crispy and it wasn't greasy! The service is great and the food came out in a timely manner. My best friend and I want to come back to try other items. Everything looked so good.

French Toast Platter: scrambled eggs, grits w/ cheese, and sausage.

Recently went here for Sunday breakfast. Ordered online and the service was quick. There was a few people ahead of us when we got there but we were in & out within 10 minutes. The place has a carryout vibe and there isn't any seating. The food was delicious. It reminded me of weekend breakfasts at my grandma house. The french toast is very sweet so be mindful, but all the flavor, softness and crispy edges made it a 5/5. The sausage was good, the scrambled eggs were fluffy and cheesy (both 5/5) The only thing that I didn't rave over was the grits, the texture was fine but it lacked seasoning. And i understand because everyone likes different seasoning on their grits. I would ask for salt/sugar/pepper packets if you want seasoned grits. All in all, i would go back.

This place did not disappoint. I was craving a turkey, bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich for breakfast and I stumbled upon this place, which took my turkey bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich to the next level by changing out the traditional toast with French toast. Where has this sandwich been my whole life? For starters, I used the online ordering system which made ordering very easy as the app lets you know when your food is ready as there is nowhere to sit in this place. As I stated previously I ordered the French toast, turkey bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich with a side of cheese grits, and an orange juice. The star of my meal definitely was the sandwich as it was sweet, savory, and very filling. The grits weren't really anything to write home about. For me they were just your standard grits with a little bit of cheese on top. The orange juice was a bottle of Tropicana. The staff was friendly. My food was made fresh to order and came out hot. All in all, if you're looking for a place that makes a solid breakfast, this hole in the wall spot is the perfect place for you. Definitely recommend.

What is the blue crush drink?

Is this in west baltimore?? Is the neighborhood/location safe to go to?

Yes, it is West Baltimore. The neighborhood, Irvington, has its charm but is also a poorer city neighborhood. I generally feel safe when I have gone through the neighborhood, but I would probably not go after dark. If you're uncomfortable parking… Read more

I've recently started working in the area and they are supper close thus I decided to try them out…read more I was very excited when I saw it was Korean owned however their K-food section is only two items; Bulgogi Dupbap & the Bulgogi Sub. The rest of the menu is American stuff. I've as of now tried both of these and very content with the taste and filling of these two, the price is reasonable per the portion and yummyness($12.49) plus tax about $13.25. The only thing I would change a bit is making sure that the juice from the bulgogi doesn't soak the bread too much cuz then it's mushy. I like a crunchy texture to my subs, but the may be just my preference. Both the son and the mom are super nice, if you become a regular it's very nice to have people know what you want right away. The atmosphere is very warm and friendly. I hope that they can incorporate more korean food to their menu, at least 2 more that have a different protein so we have a bit more variety. Though I understand why the options for kfood are limited given the area's population. Things to keep in mind: - When you order let them know if you want it to go or to eat there. Nobody can read minds, but they will do their best to ask you prior to packaging to confirm. - It can get busy so sometimes transaction may take longer because people are multitasking. - - - Don't rip out the receipt, you might be taking the wrong copy. Wait for the cashier to hand it to you or simply ask. -If you have questions about a product, ask them and don't assume. Yes. There is a big menu and pamphlets available and they provide brief item description but if that's not clear, just ask. They also have prepackaged salads, fruit and a few sweet treats, along with MissVickies chips, and bottle drinks. It's a cafe so the basics. Overall, really nice experience. Tots recommended :3

The service was good, and the dishes were tasty, but nothing that really stood out. That being said, I miss the old owner--there was something special about his presence that made every visit feel more welcoming and personal. I hope the new management keeps things moving in the right direction. I'll definitely return, but it's just not quite the same without the old vibe.

SHUT THE FLUFF UP! SO GOOOOD!!!…read more We were in Baltimore with a few hours to spare in the morning, so what to do?!? First thing that comes to mind is... crab for breakfast! Ok yelp, show me watcha gat!!! Oh, AND Open Early! Unfortunately, we have just a few options pop up (Wha?!? REALLY?!? It's Baltimore, aren't they famous for crab?!?), so we choose to hit Blue Moon Cafe! Yelp directions are on point and only street parking from what we can see. We brave the brisk chilly breeze of early May to get to the cafe... BRRRR!!! Inside motif has a dark theme to it and small patronage area. Per the lovely Nicki who greeted us, Blue has been on Food Network a few times... DDD, Best Things I Ever Ate & Destination FOOD... so settin' the bar HIGH from the start! Ok, okay I dig the confidence!! Menu is via QR code but Nicki, becuz she's fun, excitedly announces the recs to the newbies, which are Sweet Baby Jesus & Cap'n Crunch French Toast. Thanks for the heads up! Sweet Baby has lump Crab in the dish so that's a confident YES! for that, but I spy something more appealing than Cap'n Crunch... Let's EAT! SWEET BABY JESUS!: Wifey and I wanted crab and this was Blue's big gun! So YES! To The Dish! It may appear as a simple Hash Brown dish but it is so much GLORIOUS than that! To start, Hash browns are browned & crisped perfectly and then the angel's touch happens... lump crab (generous portion) with Old Bay Seasoning, fresh diced tomatoes, melty cheese, 2 over Medium eggs and homemade Hollandaise Sauce. HOLEY MOLEY! DEEE-LISH! Generous crab serving allows you to have crab with EVERY bite of this dish! Mmmmm :) Love the ooey gooey stretchy cheese! Love the runny eggs! And that Hollandaise?!?! LEGIT! This heavenly dish deserves all the hype! The only drawback was the dish got cold fast because of the cold weather outside I assume. By the time I finished my order, and got to helping Wifey, not as WOWzers compared to when it first dropped on our table. Now we know... eat fast when it's cold outside. lol SHUT THE FLUFF UP! FRENCH TOAST: Once I read "peanut butter" in its ingredients, no way I was passing this up! Buh Bye fan fave Cap'n Crunch, maybe next time lol. Officially, menu "says" it's a Pretzel encrusted French Toast, layered with chunky peanut butter, marshmallow fluff and Chocolate drizzle... allegedly. The chocolate drizzle was not present when the plate landed but generous melty smooth peanut butter completely covered the top of the marshmallow fluff. Sliced Granny Smith apples and thin pretzels also topped the dish, with a powdered sugar drizzle over the entire plate. I asked for extra peanut butter on the side just because no one ever puts enough for my liking lol. And whattya know?!? This newest iteration of the dish was FABULOUS! Did they run out of stuff? Who cares! The synergy these items had with each other just made an amazing bite each and every time. BOMB-alicious!!! I don't really like marshmallow but it wasn't a hindrance here. I devoured the entire thing. Compliments to the chef! ;) VERY EASY RECOMMENDATION! Definitely worth a visit and a return visit, as well! If it's cold outside, focus on eating not chit chatting lol ENJOY! :)

My husband and I recently dined at Blue Moon Cafe in Fells Point, Baltimore, and were disappointed…read moreby our experience. The issue began when my husband politely asked a question about a menu item because it appeared to be spelled "browns" rather than "hash browns." He simply wanted clarification regarding what the item was. The server asked him for context, and he explained that he was referring to the item as it appeared on the menu. She then replied, "Oh, now I have context. That's a hash brown." My husband explained that because of the way it was written, he wasn't sure what it meant and was only asking a question before ordering. At that point, the server's tone became noticeably louder, and she responded, "Well, I only work here. I didn't write the menu." We found this response unnecessarily defensive and dismissive. At no point was my husband criticizing the server or correcting her. He was simply trying to understand a menu item. Shortly afterward, a different server began assisting our table, which gave us the impression that the original server was upset by the interaction. When my husband placed his order, he specifically requested that the restaurant's "animal sauce" be served on the side. The menu does not explain what animal sauce is, so he wanted to try it separately before putting it on his meal. When the food arrived, the dish was completely covered in the sauce rather than having it on the side as requested. Afterward, we learned that the sauce is a mixture of ketchup and mayonnaise. My husband does not eat mayonnaise and ketchup on eggs, which is exactly why he requested the sauce on the side. Unfortunately, because of the uncomfortable interaction earlier, he did not feel comfortable asking for the dish to be corrected and simply tried to eat around it. The meal was not inexpensive, and because the sauce had been poured over most of the food, he was unable to enjoy it. Approximately 80% of his meal was left uneaten. We understand that mistakes happen and that restaurant environments can be busy. However, customers should be able to ask questions about menu items and make simple requests without feeling uncomfortable or concerned about how those requests will be received. Description of waitress: Caucasian Middle aged Heavy set Extremely loud voice Rude ( nice/nasty) We wanted to share this feedback because the interaction negatively impacted our dining experience and left us feeling unwelcome. We hope this feedback is received in the spirit intended so that future guests feel comfortable asking questions and making requests without concern.
