We sat at the bar and were well taken care of by the friendly and attentive bartender. He kept the diet cokes filled and answered questions about the menu. I ordered Chef Chad's chicken caesar cobb without the croutons and with grilled chicken instead of fried (an easy gluten free modification they were happy to make). The bacon, pickled jalapeno, and celery really made this a standout caesar. We also got a side of rosemary parm fries which were yummy too. The whole meal was filling and under $30. Really not bad for lunch! This was a good reminder that The Food Market is still good and there's a reason they've been around for so many years.

My happy hour assortment was phenomenal: one Amish pretzel with beer, cheese, one big old mozzarella stick, one cheesesteak steam bun, and one street taco. They were all phenomenal incredibly flavorful, and this assortment was filling as a meal My husband was a little disappointed by the preparation of the hot honey chicken on Happy Hour. Although the breading was phenomenal, the chicken was a bit tough. The FRIES were divine. I loved my virgin Watermelon lemonade and my husband enjoyed 2 sangrias. We will definitely go back to try their regular menu items !!!

Set within The Ivy Hotel, the space carries a quiet elegance that immediately sets the tone. Rich textures, warm lighting, and a sense of history create an atmosphere that feels intimate and composed. What stands out first is the hospitality. The service is gracious, attentive, and welcoming. The menu reflects a similar sensibility: seasonal, sustainable, and thoughtfully sourced, with a clear emphasis on freshness and organic ingredients. Each dish feels grounded and intentional, with flavors that are satisfying and not pretentious. There's a clear awareness of how the experience engages all five senses, from presentation to aroma to texture, which elevates the meal beyond just taste. The cocktail program mirrors this approach. The list is seasonal and frequently evolving, offering creative, ingredient-driven drinks that feel just as considered as the food. I had the Aspen Fir which was distinctive, refreshing, and unlike anything I've had before. It was a perfect example of how thoughtfully they approach even the smallest details. There's a steadiness to Magdalena that's easy to appreciate. It doesn't chase trends or try to impress through excess yet instead, it delivers a consistently beautiful experience rooted in quality, warmth, and attention to detail. It's the kind of place you leave feeling both well taken care of and quietly impressed.

While the line was long, I got there about 15 minutes before they opened and it was perfect. I love that the menu changes all the time, but was specifically excited about the "sticky situation" cocktail. Wow! It was amazing. Definitely sweet but such a fun, yummy drink. My table neighbors raved about the matcha cocktail and the caesar salad martini. Will have to try those next. And, I will have to go back on a Thursday and get the burger. The steak frites (Wednesday special) was amazing. The summer salad (locally sourced and grown ingredients) was the perfect start to the meal, as well as the sourdough bread they gave us. The lobster mac and cheese are an incredible dish to have with our steak. It was truly the perfect meal. The restaurant is slow, especially the service and the bar, but it is all worth the wait and worth the trip for dinner!

Since it was New Year's eve, there were few patrons or maybe this is the usual scene? Don't know. But there are some comfy couches by the front in which a young couple with a baby was nursing. Another couple was just finishing up dinner and started to head out. We were the only two diners for about 20 minutes before another couple came in for dinner. There were also about two or three people at the bar. So basically a very quiet place. No one at the hostess stand, only a woman at the bar. She eventually sat us and took our order. Things were slow but not so slow that I would complain. I would surmise that most of the staff was off that evening. Food was also slow in coming so there might have been a small crew in the kitchen as well. We ordered the mezze appetizer. Nothing to rave about. It was just a plate with vegetables and hummus. We both got the wagyu burger and fries. The whole meal was quite decent. The meat was cooked to the correct temperature and the fries were crispy. It was quite filling for me. Maybe it was NYE but everything was quiet and nice.

This past Sunday some friends and I met for dinner on the last day of Restaurant Week! We made a reservation and so glad we did. They open at 5 and it got packed very quickly. Since it was Restaurant Week, that was the only menu available. That was fine with us. They had great options and at $45 for 3 courses, it was a steal. Some items had a slight upgrade, but still not bad. They also included an optional $30 wine pairing (3 different wines - 1 per course). I had the salad and it was good and filling. I didn't want to finish it because I still had two more courses to go. The smoked and roasted chicken for my entree was delicious. The sides accompanied the dish really well. Finally, the blood orange upside down cake was yummy. Everyone else got the sweet potato pie. I'm not big on pies! I had to get my favorite cocktail, "Tilted Word." I get this every time I've been here. Our server, Zoe was great. The manager, Adalike (not sure the spelling), came by to check on us. Thank you for the great service!
