    Passion Fruit Possett

Anytime I have a day off from service, I like to explore the menu of things I haven't tried or want to retry. This time it was simple, just desert nothing else. This play on the traditional lemon posset is chef kiss, with the whipped softness of the posset, to the medley of crunch and flavorful burst of the coconut shaving, passion fruit seeds, ripe blackberries & blueberries. Such a balance of sweet, tart and tropical citrus. Some things don't need to be rocket science, but one small change can open a window This is one for the books, a must try w/ or w/o a meal I sat at the bar yesterday , one of my favorite places to go when I go solo or with the homies. Music was great as always. Service was great and chef stopped by as well to shine some light on history of the pastry. Money well spent

We have heard great things about Rooted Rotisserie and as pescatarians have not made our way since they are known for chicken. But that was a mistake. They had plenty of pescatarian options. Now I feel silly for waiting. The place had a home vibe and loved the family decor. We got sat near the kitchen which I am always welcome to since I love the process. We got the Cesar kale salad, charred shrimp, mushroom bowl, Mac and cheese and a side of bread. We loved everything! The Cesar had a little too much anchovy taste for me, but it wasn't bad. I'm just sensitive to it. I wouldn't have traded anything we got. The owners were there and came over to each to table to ask how everything was for our dinner. I love this place and it truly is what Baltimore is about. Good food, good people, and good times. We will be back. Also that chicken did look like the best chicken I have ever seen.

I'm actually upset that I didn't know about this restaurant earlier. Everything - and I mean everything was superb!! That chicken?! Oh my goodness. It was marinated to the gods!! The owner came over to our table and told us that all their chicken is marinated for 24 hours, and boy, does it taste like it. I think this was probably one of the best chicken I've ever had. And I can't forget about the broccolini and mac n cheese! The mac was so creamy and cheesy, and it was sprinkled with bread crumbs. Before I got my meal, I had a cocktail, the Top Lady, and I really enjoyed that too. I'm already excited about my next visit!

The wings were delicious. There was a spicy sauce and a taziki type sauce that accompanied the wings. I ordered the special Denver Steak with Risotto and Swiss Chard. The steak was tender and the risotto was perfect. Risotto is hard to cook. When the plate came I couldn't help but smile. Everything was absolutely delicious. It's one of the best meals I have had in a long time. Cute place across the street from Hollins market. Amanda one of the owners was there speaking with customers. We sat by the wall with both she and her husband's family.

I started with a lemon drop that was perfectly made--bright, smooth, and not too sweet. The house Caesar came in a very generous portion (definitely shareable), and the Maryland crab dip delivered on flavor. The parmesan truffle frites? A moment. That white truffle aioli really did its thing. For mains, the rotisserie half chicken was comforting and satisfying, but the pan-roasted salmon stole the show--easily the highlight of the night. Overall, a great spot if you're looking for elevated comfort food in Baltimore.

Rooted Rotisserie is a local neighborhood gem that deserves all the attention and accolades it gets. This is for a January 2026 visit. From the family style decor that makes it feel like home, to the fresh flavors and music...it really felt like I was dining at my aunties house. The server pacing was a little off but I was thankful for the notice that I was grabbing the last salmon. I would have liked a little history about the dishes. The food was quick to arrive & warm. Delicious, cheers to the chef. I have and will continue to go back because placing my dollars in the hands of my community is always first!!

Came back and was so happy I did. I hosted a few women in the area for a dinner so the stakes were high because I gawked over how good Rooted was on my first visit. They did not disappoint! They had a little name tag and our table was ready when we arrived. As always, customer service felt like home. The staff is so kind and relatable, I'm not sure how to describe it but they're down to earth, personable. As said before, the location is cozy, warm, it feels like you're at an aunties house for dinner. I will recommend Rooted until my lungs are blue.

We had a reservation and only had to wait a few minutes for the table to be cleared, which I appreciated because they didn't rush to kick out the previous guests. The host and our server were very kind, I let them know it was my friend's birthday to see if they do anything for birthdays (they do). Our food came out at a decent speed and it was GOOD! When we entered the restaurant, it smelled amazing so I knew the food wouldn't disappoint. Even without the sauces, the chicken tasted fantastic. Overall, I would come again and try different items off the menu.

Good food, good prices, beautiful restaurant, great drinks, service a little questionable. Came with a reservation on Saturday night which I definitely recommend. There's tons of street parking out front - it is metered but ends at 6pm. My husband and I split a half chicken, a side of fries and a Caesar salad. We also each got a cocktail. The chicken was delicious, skin was crispy and chicken was tender, really a special dish. We got the truffle aioli dip which we loved. The fries were crispy and plentiful. The Caesar salad I think had real anchovies in the sauce, which I know is traditional but it's definitely a unique taste! Cocktails were delicious too. Only negatives were some service issues: it took a long time to get water and be greeted by a server after we were seated. Then, we placed cocktail order right away and they didn't come for until after our food came (which we ordered later). Very strange and a poor flow for food/drinks. The bar seemed backed up so this could have to do with it but for a Saturday night, that's prime time. Overall we had a nice time, the food was priced reasonably and there's a few other dishes I'd come back to try!

Delicious food and great ambiance. Sat at the bar and it took FOREVER to be serviced after they provided us water. Other than that the food was really good and I would return.

I didn't have any expectations coming in and left with an extremely positive feeling! Just a great vibe all around. Good music and the ownership group is extremely warm. We got the half chicken, pepper steak, Brussel sprouts and Mac and cheese. It was all amazing. We felt the need to get the chicken because of the name and it did not disappoint. The skin was crispy and the meat was extremely juicy! There are no sides, but they come with a variety of sauces. Get the pepper sauce!!!!! We got the the pepper steak. I was thrown off but it was still great. It's my fault, but it is actually a short rib. Very filling and the portions are huge. GET THE MAC AND CHEEESE!!!!! So good. It's a creamy Mac and cheese with a nice top layer crust. The portions are huge. I would recommend sharing! It's a great way to try everything. Would come back again just to even hang by the bar. Great music and decor.

First time guest and I had a good experience! They've been on my list for a while and came highly recommended so I was excited to try them out. I had a reservation for 2 at 6:30pm, and we were seated quickly, it wasn't super crowded but it was pretty full. I spent $56 including their automatic 18% gratuity. They are a bit pricey and they don't split checks by items but you can pay with multiple cards. The food was delicious though! I got the duck confit ($28) and the house drink by the glass (a lemonade--$5) along with lemon cake for dessert. I've never had duck and it was cooked to perfection! No notes on the food, everything was great. The person I was with had the half chicken and she liked it a lot too. It was a bit warm inside and parking was pretty easy. Customer service was good. Love supporting a black owned restaurant too. Overall I would highly recommend and I would visit again.

Came for my first outing with the work crew. I must say that the food was good, fresh and fast. It's not a big place but the hostess and server were on point. They have happy hour 4-6 pm. I got the shrimp and the mushroom bowl which were delicious. Nice vibe and street parking. I'll be back!

Although we were there on a Monday at lunchtime, the dining area quickly became busy and loud. We ordered some crab dip, which they were able to provide some gluten-free bread for. I really liked the crab dip! It was creamy and flavorful. After placing some salad orders, the food came out, but we were not brought utensils to eat. The meat was not cooked how we asked for it to be, and one of the plates had to be sent back to be cooked more. After around 20 minutes, we were finally given forks to start eating. I ordered the Ahi Tuna Salad and despite my fish being a bit underdone, it was pretty good. I wish there was more dressing on the salad though because it was a bit bland and dry. It also seemed like our waiter was super stressed as he was genuinely running through the restaurant at times.
