I haven't been to Quest to get blood work done for quite awhile and some positive changes have been…read moremade to make the experience much better. First of all - Quest now has an app for your phone that can be downloaded for free. You make your profile including your insurance information. Once that's done you can make appointments through the app and get your lab results when they come in. Very handy indeed. Once your appointment is set they will confirm your date and time via email and send a reminder. On the scheduled day prior to your appointment you will receive a text message with a link to sign in upon arrival. This expedites the process. Secondly, the inside the waiting room has changed. Plenty of seating with a computerized sign in center for those who don't have their app. There isn't any lab techs out in the waiting room to sign people in or take insurance information. The door to the phlebotomy cubicles is locked with a numbered lock to get in. When it's your time a tech comes to the door and lets you in. In each cubicle there is a computer which they input all your information including insurance which the patient verifies if correct. My tech was Jenny and she was excellent. Great personality and wonderful for getting my blood which is very difficult to get. One stick which I hardly felt and a quick five vials later I was finished and out the door. All in all a great experience for a necessary procedure. I will need to ask for Jenny the next time I have to go.

I have been a long time patron of this lab, and in the past this business was very efficient…read more However, my November appointment was not satisfactory. When one goes in for a blood draw, they are usually fasting, and I was without my coffee which didn't help my mood. When I arrived the check in line was thick. Apparently other people were caught unaware of some new policy regarding the check in, I found out why. Instead of being able to just enter a confirmation code I was given when I made my appointment, the system needed my driver's license as well. So I had to get out of line, go to my car and get my ID. The young lady was nice, but her stick left me with a bruise for over a week. The result came in E-mail not all at once within 24 hours, but in bits and pieces over four days. I don't know what has happened to this provider, but I doubt I'll go back!

I found…read morethat these folks did everything that everyone else has had to do during this pandemic and after it. They went out of their way for me and everyone there to do their best and all get us seen in a timely way. Everyone was kind and helpful!!! People that do not like wearing masks need to realize that it's not the workers fault that masks are required. They ask for you to use hand sanitizer again a non issue. People need to have patience with others especially in the medical community. These folks have worked hard to get people seen and do not need Adults with "Toddler Tantrum behavior to deal with". People if you happen to not get called back when making an appointment call back and patiently wait to be assisted. Don't complain, under-staffing is due to the pandemic. Also communication is important if you have to miss call and let them know what is happening, they went to a lot of work to help you that when you don't show without a call it is a loss for the business when they could have helped others. Don't get me started on wait times!!!! Sometimes it is necessary to wait bring a book and a smile people!!!! Overall this place was exceptional you are lucky Inverness to have such quality care!!!

I'd advise making an appointment if you are in a lot of pain or otherwise cannot wait. The waiting…read moreroom was filled but the 45 min. wait time quoted was about accurate. The staff are nice, it is a busy holiday weekend. I had them check on an X-ray from ages ago when I fell down the stoop, and they were able to locate it even though we quoted them the wrong date of service. I'm hoping that the results from the X-ray don't show worse degeneration than I had before. My new orthopedic doctor sent me there after an appointment today. He doesn't know how to help or evaluate me until he gets the results of these x-rays and of bloodwork back. I get so confused by trying to navigate the medical system that I feel like I should hire a medical assistant just to help me keep my appointments , meds and head on straight. Pain and degenerative disease is affecting my memory, or perhaps it's something else. But I don't recognize who I am anymore because of pain and disease. Which leads me to explain, I was very appreciative of how helpful and sweet the x-ray staff is. Particularly Adrian, the x-ray tech. I had broke down crying because it seems to be a "perfect storm" lately of intense bodily pain from the many falls I've had, as well as arthritis, and the heat outside, plus it's coming up on a holiday weekend so the roads and the waiting rooms were extra crowded today. Adrian and the young lady in medical records (I can't remember her name, she had medium to long dark hair and was very sweet as well), made things bearable today.

Instead of removing and restarting properly, she repeatedly moved the needle in and out of my vein. This was uncomfortable and concerning. Eventually, she removed the IV and wrapped my arm. She called for another woman to assist, but when that person was unavailable, a man nearby stated he could help. She agreed and left the room. The second staff member applied the tourniquet extremely tightly. I told him it was very tight. When he inserted the IV needle, I immediately told him it was very painful and that something did not feel right. Despite this, he continued. When he attempted to inject fluid, it infiltrated into my arm rather than into the vein, and the area around the site visibly swelled. Only then did he remove the needle. I have never had difficulty with IV placement or blood draws in the past, including blood work done just two weeks prior without issue. This experience was painful, distressing, and felt improperly handled. I am especially concerned that my repeated statements about pain and discomfort were not taken seriously.
