Jack did a flawless Gel-X French manicure that was elegant, clean, and exactly what I envisioned. He's incredibly detailed, patient, and passionate about his craft. His attention to detail is unmatched, and you can tell he genuinely takes pride in making sure every set is perfect. Most recently, I got the most gorgeous blue Gel-X coffin nails from him, and I'm seriously obsessed. Not only did they look stunning, but they lasted through hiking, canoeing, and my lifting sessions without a single chip! His work always lasts a little more than 3 weeks for me, which is amazing given how much I use my hands. Jack always listens to what you want and somehow makes it even better than you imagined. My first time back in Koreatown in 12yrs. I'm staying down the street, so I decided to walk around until I found a nail salon. As a walk-in, I was welcomed. I got the best manicure by MIKKI and pedicure by ZULA in my 24 years of getting nail services. I work in the beauty industry and I do appreciate the time and diligence that goes into their work. If I lived here they would see me regularly! Only feedback to front desk/management. I did request an eye lash tint upon arrival. By the time I finished nails, I asked where I should go for the tint and they said that technician wasn't present. Nor did they contact them to see if they could come in for my service... until I asked. read more

They do gel builder, but it was just double coats and no trim with the nail tool. Therefore, my nails turned out too thick. I've been to many many nail salons, and they always trim down the gel builder. On top of that, the nail tech working on me did not take her time, so some of my nails have air bubbles and the cat-eye looks messy (I can see streaks). For $95 and poor work, I left unsatisfied (additional $20 for cat-eye and $20 for "gel builder"). Another one bites the dust for me in Ktown. read more

Would not recommend. I booked a manicure and pedicure for a 4:00 PM appointment and wasn't seen until almost 5:00 PM. After waiting patiently, they completed my pedicure but then told me they were too busy to do my manicure--even though it was part of the appointment I booked. Had I known they couldn't accommodate both services, I would have gone elsewhere. Very disappointing and inconsiderate of customers' time. read more

I started coming to this nail shop last year since it's close to my workplace. I only get pedicures, and overall, the atmosphere is nice and clean, which I really appreciate. I usually add designs to my toenails, and except for one time, I've been happy with every single result. It seems like everyone here is skilled at nail art, no matter who you get. Once, one of the gems fell off within a week, but when I went back, they were so kind and fixed it for free. The repaired gem actually stayed on for a long time after that! I've had pedicures before... but this one left me questioning my life choices. Nearly in tears from how rough the young lady Tommy was. It was definitely NOT the pampering I signed up for! I paid and tipped after my service. Not an apology or thank you. I called to speak with a manager, and Kena that answered said that the manager was busy. Been coming to this location many years and through different management. The girls are always so nice and helping me to pick the colors and patterns. They specialized in all kinds of nail services, designs and patterns. I found even their regular pedicure would last 4 weeks ( wearing socks & shoes & pumps)! The best among all the places I have tried. They will validate parking inside the structure that they are housed in. Entrance on Vermont just south of Wilshire. They were ok. First a guy who I think had never done nails before started shakily doing my nails and I asked for someone else. They didn't have a gel color to match my non gel color perfectly. They were nice and it was a nice place but I was stuck looking at a dirty dusty corner. The girl was taking off my whole cuticle and hurt and I asked her to do the manicure without ripping off the cuticle. And my manicure looked a week old before the second day. When I go to other places and ask them not to take off the cuticle they make sure they bring the polish all the way to the base of the nail and wipe it off if they need to. I'm extremely disappointed in GBY as they've not only been charging hundreds of dollars for lash extensions made with cheap products but Courtney rushes through appointments and she uses hella clusters on what is supposed to be an individual lash set. They don't care about being honest with clients and that is a huge red flag for me.

It's amazing. They only fall out when my natural lashes shed, and my natural lashes look and feel healthy, even after consistent lash extensions for years now. I'm telling you, I am rough on these things. I rollerblade at the beach, and these lash extensions flap around in the wind and do not budge! She's also amazing at placement. My eyes are deep set and the cat-eye (longer at the outer corner) style looks droopy on me. She knew right away that kitten-eye was a better choice for making my eyes look open and awake. Heidi has also become a friend. We talk and laugh and it feels like hanging out. I'm sure she would also let me nap if I wanted to. Jin is very detailed oriented, he took his time mapping out both my eyebrows and lips. The eyebrow tattoo wasn't painful at all, I almost fell asleep while he was working on me. The lip blush for the most part wasn't too painful, it felt like rolling a microneedle roller over my lips. The part that did hurt a bit was the inner lip since no numbing cream can be applied there. Of course, I turned to Yelp for the scoop and zeroed in on Ms. Glen's Therapeutic Manicures & Pedicures. I finally got a chance to go see Ms. Glen and it was everything I wanted and more. It was relaxing (I fell asleep)! It was restorative! My feet felt and looked healthy and cared for. I didn't get polished which is great because I have been wanting to go natural for a while to let my nails breathe and focus on what's really happening with my toe nail health. So may things I loved (in no particular order): - Very communicative from the appointment (via phone) to the confirmation and directions (via text) - Ms. Glen greeted me at the door - The studio smells divine (really sets the tranquil mood) - The studio was intimate (just me - yay) - The space was very clean (I am a stickler for clean) - There was a complimentary water waiting on me - Ms. Glen has developed her own techniques and products which speaks to her dedication and specialization (I love people who are passionate about what they do!) - Every step of the treatment was appreciated! (very detailed, very attentive, think - pampering your feet from the in-depth massage to the parrafin to the soaks to the grooming and much much more) - I got socks! This was such a special and much needed last step that I never knew I needed. It made my feet more comfortable and protected after such a beautiful treatment. She even asked me my size. How's that for customer service! - Now this one may seem trivial but I never had to hold my feet up during the treatment unless I was transitioning from the bowl to a towel. I do not like having to do that while someone attends to the bottom of my feel or heels. Ms. Glen has it worked out where I can truly relax the whole time. I also left with one of Ms. Glen's therapeutic hand and foot oils in Lemon. She makes the oils herself! It smells so good and leaves a refreshing but not overpowering scent. It feels good oiling my feet every night. Like another reviewer said, this is not your run of the mill pedicure shop. This is a therapeutic service that is worth every penny. My goal is to make this a regular treatment. If my feet are healthy, I am healthier! Thanks Ms. Glen for such a wonderful experience! I'll be back. If your feet are in need of TLC, renewal and restoration, Ms. Glen has a carefully curated service that will leave your feet feeling brand new. I had recently purchased a soap that helps with skin discoloration. It hasn't been making any improvement in the uneven skin tone and dark marks on my feet. Turns out I just needed an appointment with Ms. Glen. The exfoliation she provided literally rubbed away 15 years from my feet. My dry scratchy heels were left supple and smooth and the calloused areas were left soft. Had I known what I was in store for I would have taken before and after pictures. She even provided socks for me to leave in, to seal in the moisture. My favorite part hands down was the massage. She kneaded into these tired soles, and I needed that! I paid a little more than the price listed (which she does quote as a base price) but she also spent almost 2x the amount of time listed. My Fiancé noticed the difference in appearance and feel immediately. I intentionally waited until 24 hours+ had passed to write this review, wanting to see if my feet would feel just as nice. THEY DO!! Ms. Glen definitely puts pride in her work and I love how she checked in throughout the process to ensure I was satisfied along the way. I recommend her service to anyone looking to give their feet a more youthful feel and look. And if your feet have severe issues that might keep you from visiting open public salons, her private suite will help you feel comfortable and secure. Right before I left, Ms. Glen threw in a bottle of her therapeutic hand & foot oil once she saw how dry my hands were. I had discussed my upcoming nuptials with her and she wanted to make sure my hands moisturized properly for my big day, even providing a demonstration on proper application. Ms. Glen is a gem!

I trusted the front desk staff to guide me, and was quoted $80 for Gel-X, builder gel removal, and French tip. At my appointment on Friday 7/18, I was unexpectedly charged $110! I was told the card on file couldn't be used for the service--only for late fees or no-shows--which made no sense. If the salon can charge the card for penalties, why not for the actual service being provided? This was especially frustrating because the appointment was a gift for a huge accomplishment of mine, from my mother, so of course I didn't have the physical card with me. On top of that I was also charged extra for nail length without warning, and billed twice for polish: $20 for gel color and $15 for French tip, even though I only received 1 design; french tip. When I asked for clarification, staff just pointed to the online pricing--but I booked in person to avoid that confusion. The experience felt misleading. I intentionally came in person to avoid confusion and relied on the staff to guide me accurately. Unfortunately, that did not happen. I would not recommend this salon to anyone. If you're considering booking here, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for more transparent and customer-friendly service.

Im not one to write reviews but I feel like Ogi deserves so much recognition! She SLAYED my nails on my first visit at Sugar Nail. I live right down the road from this place but always passed it bc of the iffy yelp reviews. Now i'm sooo glad I decided to give it a try bc I found my dream nail girl. Ogi saved my nails from having a thick, round ish coffin shape, to a picture perfect coffin shape. For me, the shape, thickness, and how close it is to the cuticle line are the main things I need perfected on a fill. She made it look SOOO natural and aced every expectation I had!! She also did my pedi which was so amazing. I got the classic which came w a massage, hot stone and towel, and paraffin wax for the heels. She didn't speed thru my pedi AT ALL and the hot stone massage!!! Her leg massages are on point. Would def go back for Ogi. read more

HORRIBLE! DO NOT COME HERE! I almost came out of here crying.I had my graduation the next day so I made an appointment for Friday at 8:30pm and they said they couldn't because they need ONE hour to do a simple acrylic set. Then they ask if I can go in at 8:15pm instead so i agreed. I arrived at 8:05pm and had to wait till 8:40pm! Finally when the lady was doing my nails and she was filing them sideways and had to tell her to stop because they were starting to look horrible. I ended up out of that salon at 10:35pm! I saw all the workers leave while i was still stuck there! To make matters worse it has only been 4 days and they all fell off already!. Wost 80 dollars of my life spent for a horrible job. First, I was 30 minutes late to my appointment and I really appreciate that they took me in. I was a little hesitant because I got a different nail tech prior to my last tech who did my nails that I loved. This time it was another nice lady named Oggi. I showed her a picture of how I wanted my nails and she did even a better job than the actual picture. Her hands were soft and she really took her time to get the job done. There are no cracks or uneven shapes. The design is flawless! The price she charged me was very reasonable even though I asked for couple more stones than I expected. She was very sweet and professional. I will definitely be back for her. I just can't stop staring at my flawless perfect nails! Thank you!!! read more

Definitely a five-star place. I am from out of town and decided to go on a spa date with my friend and we had a great time. We didn't have an appointment, so the wait time was 30 min (if that) and we were pleasantly surprised that the Mani/Pedi combo was only $35!! The nail technicians were absolutely phenomenal. I really felt like I was getting the royal treatment because while one was working on my feet, another was working on my nails. It was a very comfortable feel and I definitely didn't feel rushed. It's been about a week and a half since I got my nails done and they still look great and no chips!! I found this nail salon on Instagram @sugarnail_la ! I was so exited they do gel art very cool and accurate. Swarovski, gems, metal, plastic accessories. The salon is super new in an amazing building the Vermont. I love it cool classy modern style. They are always busy. Better to make an appointment. Even all chairs busy it is Not noisy nail salon... I was relaxing and enjoying the mani and pedi process. This is my 3rd visit. I fail in love with Jenne since first time. She is working so good. My nails look beautiful more then 2 weeks. Love it. Got a gel pedicure and a full set with regular polish and I'm so in love with my nails! It's a hit or miss type of place ,a little pricy but worth it. Had an appointment only for gel pedicure and didn't wait .soon as I came in and said I had an appointment I was seated. My nails were a disaster from a pervious horrible pedicure but the girl who did mine ( I didn't get her name :() was so nice and fixed them. worst nail shop ever. I have got done my nail ajd in 3 days most of my stones fell off even nails got chipped. I went back and they redid my nail. Well, again in few days stones and gels fell off and chipped off. This plave was freakinf expensive too compare to other ktown nail shop. Seriously I am never coming back here. I'm giving this 4 stars and not 5 because the street parking on both Vermont and on Wilshire blvd is awful and I have the circle the block several times before I can find parking spot.
