Enchilada
Karyn M.

I've read that restauranteurs don't like Valentine's Day. Either it's because of the crowds of people dining out with high expectations, or just loads of people dining out who don't dine out, or maybe they want this day for themselves and their loved ones... This is the second year in a row that we've spent Valentine's weekend in Las Vegas. Sometimes a good meal doesn't have great service and that can ding them a star or two. Our brunch started quite promising. It was difficult to get a reservation anywhere, even early (and don't think about just dropping in). We started with some just fried beignets and some bacon-wrapped dates and everything was going great. The wait staff came back and told me the Fat Boy Hash was sold out (it was 8am) so I randomly ordered enchiladas. They delivered some of our meals but one member of our party didn't receive their food...and you know how that is. They promised it was coming out but it didn't arrive until the rest of us were done. They comped us a meal but you know we'd have rather had the meal as the rest of us. I saw the manager walking out other meals as well, so this wasn't an isolated occurrence. Chalk it up to Valentine's Day, I guess.

Fish n Chips

Really enjoyed our dinner meal at Sugarcane. We came for late dinner and were there into start of Happy Hour at 10:00 PM so we made sure to order different food than what was offered during Happy Hour. Ordered (TOTAL after Tax: $179.90) 1. Le Classic Double Burger upgraded $30 2. Side Mushrooms $15 3. Beer Battered Fish & Chips Upgrade to Truffle Fries $38 4. HH Pig Ear Papaya Salad $9 5. 6 HH Oysters $15 6. Yellowtail Tataki $26 7. Asparagus $14 8. HH Blackberry Sour $10 9. HH Poke Bowl $9 All the dishes we ordered were good - not a morsel remained other than the fries but that was simply because it was a VERY generous serving. The truffle fries upgrade was very good. Wish there were two pieces of the fish n chips but it only came with one small piece and we were doing family style for most of the dishes. Happy Hour prices were well worth it. The HH Pig Ear and Papaya Salad recommended by my casino host was a surprised. We really liked it - crispy, bit savory and sweet. Would have the pig ear again. We asked for the mushroom add on for the burger but the waiter ordered the side order of mushrooms but we still managed to eat it all. For dinner we had Braydon C as our server and he was great! My friend had food allergies so we had many questions and he was helpful. I did go back to Sugarcane for lunch but I enjoyed dinner much more. For lunch I had the Korean Fried Chicken sandwich which the waitress highly recommended. Was too spicy for me, suffering through it I ordered a lemonade to help me along Also, chicken breast was a tad on the dry side. My friend enjoyed her french toast. 100% would return for dinner and Happy Hour menu.

The menu and the service were fantastic. The Full Elvis Waffle and the Cuban Benedict were creative and delicious. The ambulance is very nice, but I have to wonder why the chairs are so dreadfully uncomfortable. Luckily there was booth seating available. Overall, very nice brunch experience and again the service was excellent.

I've been coming here for years. The tradition is Sunday afternoon before going home but today I came to dinner on a Friday night and it's better than I ever. This is my first time back since the remodel and my favorite item was off menu and now on menu, the chimichuri skirt steak and its flawless. I love it here.

Menu has been revised. Food is still great. Will pass on tamales next time, it was too hard :( Everything else was perfect

I really enjoyed the ambiance and the musics in the background. It was so nice. I didn't eat so I wanted to do it before the concert. After it would've been just fast food. I didn't want fast food in Vegas. So I opted to try this place. I wanted something quick so I decided for the ceviche. I didn't want to waste much time there. I wanted to go already to enjoy. My daughters just got the fries just to get something. The ceviche was very good. It had some mango. It was tangy and spicy and sour. Very delicious. It came with flour crunchy squares. Very satisfying snack. My mojito has enough of the strong liquor and the mint was very fresh. I could tasted in the drink. It was pretty good. Highly recommend. I was ready to sing my heart out. Lol! Our waiter was very attentive and helpful. He offered us some dessert but I didn't want to wait more. There was another person in charge of refilling the waters. He was very attentive as well. He removed the empty dishes too. I asked for the check and he had his pad so I can pay right there with him. Very convenient.

Cuban Benedict

Sugarcane is conveniently located inside the Venetian, making it an easy brunch stop before checking out. We came in for brunch and grabbed seats at the bar. The restaurant wasn't packed at the time, though service was a bit on the slow side. That said, the food was excellent. I ordered the Mushroom Benedict, which is not your traditional Benny. Instead of an English muffin, it's served on toasted sourdough, topped with savory mushrooms and perfectly cooked eggs. Different from the classic, but still really enjoyable and flavorful. My boyfriend ordered the Cuban Benedict, and that thing was a huge portion. It's hearty, filling, and definitely not shy on ingredients. If you're planning to order this, come hungry. The bartenders and servers were friendly and welcoming, and overall it was a great choice for a simple, satisfying meal without having to leave the hotel.

Nice clean breakfast location inside Venetian on restaurant row. We Both ordered breakfast platter as it offered eggs, bacon, potatoes and toast. The Food has obviously been sitting there waiting for us as we ordered and it wasn't even a minute before we got our food. We both ordered over medium eggs and they came out over easy and lukewarm, the potatoes were all overcooked and cold, and we asked for crispy bacon and got a bunch of bacon in a cluster that were very rubbery and cold. The server was really nice and the restaurant is nice inside , but this meal was not something to make us come back and try again.

French Toast

We went to Sugarcane, located at the Restaurant Row between Venetian and Palazzo, for breakfast and had a great experience from start to finish. Loved the decor and vibe. The breakfast was excellent. We ordered the two eggs any style, roasted potatoes (we asked for crispy), and bacon (we asked for crispy), which was all cooked perfectly. We also shared the French toast, and it was so yummy. You get three pieces topped with caramelized bananas, vanilla cream, fresh berries, and maple syrup. So good! The service was wonderful, and the staff was genuinely friendly and attentive. Overall, we had a great time and would absolutely come back for breakfast again.

One in a melon cocktail

Our friends recommended Sugarcane, and we're glad we went! Food and cocktail were all delicious. We especially enjoyed the pig ear papaya salad. It's a definite must try. Everything we ordered we would happily get again. Try this place if you're in the Venetian or Palazzo.

Sweet Corn

Went for a dinner pre-show. Located in the Venetian, nice open space, casual vibe and not too loud. We arrived a few minutes late but they were still able to accommodate a large party. The server was prompt and friendly. The lobster tamale was very good. The sweet corn side and mushroom side were tasty as well. The caesar salad was a little too salty with the crispy capers and anchovies. The fish and chips had really nice fried cod and served with tartar sauce and vinegar but the chips were a bit larger than steak fry size. Well cooked but I would have preferred smaller size fries, but I guess those were authentic to English style. overall a good dining experience.

Shrimp ceviche
Ashley C.

4 out of 5 for Sugarcane at the Venetian. The "One in a melon" watermelon margarita was fantastic. The shrimp ceviche was quality, but it was a little on the sweet side for me. The crunchy tuna roll was flavorful, but the sweet chili cause was all sweet and no chili. The breakfast platter was a solid option if you're looking for a more traditional style breakfast meal. The service was fantastic, and the ambiance was nice.

Menu
Roya J.

The bolognese was decent, but the waffles and duck was a little better. Nothing was bad, but it wasn't memorable either. It however didn't warrant the price point. Mixed drinks were priced fine for what was provided, but beer portion was tiny. Service was fine and the place has a lot of seating and a full bar.

Best thing on menu?

Don't sleep on the papaya salad with crispy pig ears. But I haven't had anything I wouldn't recommend.

Is the fish wild caught or organic?

The bigeye tuna is wild, the hamachi is sustainably farmed and the salmon is responsibly farmed. We hope to see you dine with us soon. Please let me know if I can help with booking a reservation for you.

Do you offer a kids menu? Where can I see what options you offer?

Is the foie gras fried rice still available? And is it only for dinner or other meals too?

Yes. Duck fried rice still on dinner menu. Four grad is an add on for extra. Not sure if it's avail for other meals. For supper it is though.

Hello, is the bottomless mimosas served everyday during Brunch, or just on the weekend?

They have an every day brunch! We ate there on a monday and got bottomless mimosas

Is a reservation recommend for a weekday at happy hour, and also is happy hour only at the bar?

Happy hour (4-7pm) is only at the bar and not the tables. I went on Jan 1st around 6pm and there were a few seats at the bar. However my group and I wanted a table so we had to opt out of the happy hour menu since they only serve it at the bar

All I remember was going through the casino areas of Paris Hotel, and then going down one floor to the Horseshoe area to reach this bar just minutes before closing on a Friday close to midnight. I quickly grabbed a seat at the bar area and perused the menu, which has a ton of drinks, beers, wines, mocktails and even snacks. Even when close to closing time, patrons filled up all the bar seating which isn't a lot; most seating was couches and tables near the knickknacks. I got myself the Bee's Knees, which is cranberry and pineapple juice, apple puree, cinnamon fire syrup and some ginger beer according to their menu just outside the front entrance. I can only describe the taste as a sweetened fruit juice with a ton of fizz from the ginger beer, and the pineapple and apple came out on top for overpowering the drink overall. Some mint leaves and a slice of grapefruit were added in, and the mint leaves made this drink feel more like a special cocktail. This and other mocktails is $13 before tax, so pretty high price especially when considering their other alcoholic drinks are not that much higher than that... I actually still loved my drink, though! It was a nice wrap-up for my last day in Vegas and I'm curious now to look a lot more carefully at the stuff on the walls if I ever come here again!
