We had a reservation and was seated quickly. Ken our server greeted us and gave us a couple of minutes to get our drink order ready. I had an idea of what I wanted to try, so we didn't waste time. I went down the list, and Ken let us know we had a lot of food, and shaved a couple things from my list. I'm local, so don't mind leftovers, but we took his advice, and we had the perfect amount of food. Really appreciated not having to walk around the casino with a food bag!! We were seated near the sushi bar, and it was a bit loud.

Really enjoyed dinner here. Each dish was delicious. The ribs were so tender! Our waiting staff was excellent and explained the dishes. The drinks were strong but tasty.

We had a reservation and got seat right away after they just open. There are many food options to choose from. We fell in love with all pickled vegetables. Pickled gourd roll is my favorite. Pickled eggplants and pickled root vegetables nigiri are everyone favorite. I like to watch them cook my yellowtail on the table and mix egg yolk to the rice. I wish they add some more vegetables on the side as the rice is a bit oily for me. Sea bass and salmon entrees are fresh and perfectly prepared. At the end, we got the dessert bento box which comes with a grand entrance worthy for a video to capture the moment.

I was here for an event with 50+ other people. Everything was served family style. Tacos, ceviche and sushi. Massive was super fast and the meal was great.

I really loved the food at Morimoto! The spicy salmon roll tasted fresh and so did the yellowtail. I had the yellowtail with their rice bowl and it's cooked tableside on a stone bowl. The yellowtail melted in my mouth! I also had their ribeye steak and I got it with truffle butter. Everything was good but it's definitely a pricy place!

The food is great and so is the ambiance. The bartender had really good recommendations for the cocktail. One of the best I've ever had. The decor is beautiful. The restaurant is located inside MGM Grand

The Zen cocktail. Guava, Gin and St Germain! So good

I just had to visit Morimoto as an iron chef fan. Not only that but the place is so striking it draws you in. We sat at the bar and opted for a drink and dessert because it's Vegas! I was intrigued by the Zen cocktail as it was guava based and also had gin and St. Germain. Can I say it was just a work of art. Perfect balance of foam, sweetness from the guava, tartiness from the lemon and Roku gin. Every sip was superb. Above all that the cocktail was simply gorgeous. To further treat myself this lovely evening, the Bento Box was such a fun dessert, drawing eyes from across the bar. Another treat for all the senses with the unique desserts. I personally loved the lemon meringue, pistachio cream puff and coconut pannacotta with mango. Highlight of the night was the cocktail. Kudos to our bartender for being so attentive as well.

3.5 rounded up to a 4... I came here with a party of 6 and we were greeted nicely by the hostess. The resturant was really pretty inside. It was an intimate feeling with its dim lighting. Our waiter also was knowledgeable as he was explaining the menu and his recommendations. However the service did get a bit slow. We asked for extra bowls for our second order of soup and never got it. We also ordered a sushi roll that didn't come out till the very end but we were waiting awhile before it came out. Food overall was okay. Brussel sprouts 7/10: pretty good. Not burnt but I think might be lacking some sweetness? Def has the crispiness I was searching for. Beef carpaccio 7/10: the beef didn't taste like Wagyu. It was more like pho beef if yall know what I'm talking about. It wasn't chewy and the flavor was pretty fresh. Sea bass 7/10: I always enjoy sea bass and this one was pretty solid. The fish is not as buttery as I would have liked it but it does have the flakiness. The flavor was okay, I felt like a bit more sauce or seasoning would've been better. Kimchi fried rice 5/10: this dish was pretty mid. Nothing special. Laksa noodle soup 7/10: flavorful but the soup was really thick and coco nutty if you enjoy that. The noodles was ur standard ramen noodles. It does have some bits of ground meat. Yellowtail fried rice in the stone pot (I forgot the actual name of the dish) 3/10: apparently this was the dish that allows the chef to win iron chef. It was prepared tableside but I did not get the hype. It was lacking flavor so I added more of the sauce which I felt like it was just soy sauce. It lacked any umami that I was searching for. The fish wasn't fishy but I just felt like it didn't go well with the dish. ny steak with added truffle butter 9/10: this was probably the highlight of the meal. PSA: they overcook the meat so I would go one level rawer than what you want. I ordered ours medium rare and it came out as medium which was my preference anyways. Land and sea roll 6/10: this dish came in a smoke box for presentation which was cool. However because of that, the dish tasted too Smokey for me. The wagyu on top of the roll didn't have that melt in your mouth feel. The Ebi shrimp was pretty fresh. But for 60 dollars I'm not sure if it's worth it. Overall I feel like this place is pretty standard for pricing and food. I think we spent around 500 bucks for 6 people. A bit underwhelming but maybe bc I had higher expectations.

This was a splurge while on vacation in Vegas. This very high end dining located in the MGM Grand was very elegantly decorated. Service was impeccable from the front staff to the wait staff with them discretely monitoring your water levels and removing empty plates. We ordered two appetizers the wagyu beef carpaccio and sticky ribs. They both were small delicate dishes and beautifully presented. The beef was soft and melted in my mouth. The sticky ribs was tender and flavorful. I got the chef's sushi platter and my husband got the wagyu rib eye steak. The sushi was as good as you would think it is. The fish was fresh and the texture of the rice was perfect. My husband said the steak was the best he's ever had. I tried a little of it and it was tender full of beef flavor. It was a memorable experience.

From the moment we sat down, the service was impeccable. The staff was not only extremely attentive but also incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. They didn't just describe the dishes, they painted a full sensory picture of each one, and honestly, we ended up trying almost everything. The fresh sushi was outstanding, the sticky ribs were fall‑off‑the‑bone perfection, and the Chilean sea bass was tender, flaky, and absolutely delicious. The hamachi tacos were so good I could've ordered multiple rounds without hesitation. Dessert was the perfect finale. Beautifully presented and just as impressive as the rest of the meal. Speaking of presentation, every single dish looked like art. Truly elevated dining. I HIGHLY recommend dining here for a date night, a celebration, or anytime you're craving an unforgettable, elevated experience. Morimoto Las Vegas is a must!

We hit up Morimoto for dinner by making reservations on OpenTable and we were seated right on time. The service is sharp, and the ambiance is exactly what you want for a Vegas night out--chic, trendy, and high-energy. The Food: * Soft Shell Crab Roll: A solid starter, though didn't quite blow me away. * Oyster Foie Gras Market Oysters, Foie Gras, Uni, Teriyaki - the taste was flavorful but wish the foie gras was warm and the oysters were quite small. * Spicy Handroll Trio: Pretty average. If you're looking for high-end sushi innovation, this wasn't quite it. * Ishi Yaki Buri Bap: This is the move. It's prepped tableside in a hot stone bowl--super fun to watch and the fish was incredibly fresh. Wish there were a few more pieces of fish for the price, but the flavor was there. * Fiery S'more: Do not skip this. The live-fire presentation is spectacular, and the combo of chocolate pot de crème and burnt marshmallow is delicious. The Verdict: It's definitely more Japanese-fusion than "authentic," and being an Iron Chef spot in the MGM Grand, you're going to pay a premium. You're paying for the brand and the show, but for a fun dinner with great service, it's worth a visit.

We came here for Friday night dinner. It was packed and we didn't have a reservation but we got a seat at the bar right away. Jonathan was awesome. He was worked hard to make sure we were good even though all his seats were full. We ordered one of the higher end sakes, very sweet and smooth. Don't be fooled it's pretty strong so be careful if you're a lightweight. We ordered the asparagus to share and I really liked how they used some thicker stems and also added some crunchy breading. My friend ordered the filet mignon medium rare and it was so sweet and tasty, done just right. I ordered the salmon and it was also delicious. I loved the somewhat crunchy skin they kept on and the moist body. They added some sweet small boba and a nice thick white sauce. The prices were expensive but well worth it. They also had a live DJ dressed in a cute outfit and playing some good Japanese and Korean music. The decor was eclectic. Overall a great experience.

I've been a fan of Iron Chef for a long, long time. Chef Morimoto has been a food hero of mine forever, which actually made it a little tough to walk into his restaurant and not just totally fanboy out. I kept my cool, though, and took the experience at face value. The atmosphere greeted me with its wide-open space and moody, shadowed lighting--my photos really capture that cool use of dark corners and pops of color. Our waiter, Truman, was so friendly and warm, and he pointed us toward some incredible recommendations. I started with the Wagyu Beef Carpaccio, and from there, the night just got better and better. The food was absolutely amazing; it didn't just meet my expectations--it blew them away. This will be my go to for out of town guests that want a good meal.

Does the dinner menu have wagyu beef on a hot stone?

No it was on skillet and the meat isn't the Wagyu grade I expected. Not worth the prize.

What options do you have for children?

Many things children can eat there, they have California rolls and avocado rolls and salmon rolls also calamari salad which is full of fried calamari's very good. They also have different steaks expensive but definitely good for children.

    Are kids allowed?

Yeah they are :-) just be mindful because it's pretty expensive there

Does it have teppanyaki on Tue, Wed or Thur?

Teppanyaki is now available 7 days a week

Is this one of the restaurants where guests are able to charge the bill to their MGM resorts room?

Yes! We are a proud member of the MGM Resorts family and accept room charges from any of your favorite Las Vegas properties.

I have a reservation for 2145, but the hours are until 2200. Will they honor our reservation and let us order full menu coming in 15 minutes before close?? We have a show that gets out at 2130 inside MGM and planned to walk to reservation after.

I would imagine they wouldn't allow the reservation if they weren't planning to offer you a full menu.

Can I wear short, shoes and shirt?

Yes, they will not turn you away, although you might feel out of place.

Have a reservation for Father's Day, but would a 9 yr old be welcome for an early seating?

Yes. Shouldn't be a problem as long as they aren't disruptive

Has the restaurant posted a re-opening date yet?

As of mid-May 2021, the restaurant is open for dine-in and takeout from 5PM -10PM Mon, Thurs, Fri, Sat, and Sun. The restaurant is closed Tues and Wed.

Do they have an omakase and how much they cost?

Yes, we do have an Omakase. The price of the Omakase is $140 per person.

Does he use real crab in his California rolls?

    Yes

Can anyone confirm if they have a dress code? it says casual here on yelp but Open Table says business casual.

It is casual. They do ask no ripped jeans or ripped shorts. Absolutely no beach wear.

How expensive is it? I would prefer to have a good idea before booking a table.

Most of those at our table ordered an entree between $20-40. We however did the taste of the chef special 7-course which was around $90 a person. Hope this helps.

How many pieces of sushi come in one order? Like for example, how many would you get if you ordered a California or eel roll?

    Depends on the item ordered.

    What's is the opening hours?

I believe 5 I tried making reservations but couldn't. Decided to take my chances at the bar right at 5 and it worked out great for my wife and I! Everything was fantastic!

    All you can eat?

no, everything is to order keep in mind when ordering nigiri pieces its only one per order

What does their tasting menu consist of?

We had Omakase about a month ago, and it was same as some other reviews from several months ago. Tuna tartare, Wagyu carpacho, cheese fondu with seafood and noodles, sushi pieces, surf and turf, and flaming chocolate dessert.

Do they have teppanyaki like the previous restaurant used to have?

Yes they do, there is the restaurant side and the Teppanyaki side, or at least when I was there they had it.

You don't need to go to the Strip for Ari yeah!…read more Ari Sushi & Izakaya is a very well-Yelped restaurant in the southwest. I've particularly seen buddies post about it on Instagram a lot, and I finally made my way out there since I found that it aligned with my mom's food craving. I went for the Ari Ari Combo ($29.00). It started with a little bowl of balanced miso soup and a tiny side salad with fresh greens and a simple sesame dressing, and was followed by six thin but delicious sashimi slices and four basic but also solid-quality nigiri. I would be more than happy to come back try to more of their raw fish any time. If that doesn't sound like enough for lunch, I did share other food items. The Garlic Edamame ($7.00) felt a little less salted than I expected but was a good portion and had plenty of both a garlic sauce and crispy garlic slivers. I also helped out with a Bento with 3 items ($25.00): bulgogi, mixed tempura, and spicy tuna roll. The bulgogi was tender but not strongly marinated enough and the spicy tuna roll felt pretty standard, but I did really enjoy the shrimp tempura and the veggie tempura pieces which I tried. They were super hot and crispy while being cooked perfectly inside, and the sauce was perfect. The music was relaxing and not played at a very high volume. The restaurant is a little more dim than I'd like and could benefit from overhead narrow-angle lights, but maybe the food was just that good that the lighting wasn't so important. The server was happy to refill my complimentary water with lemon as often as needed, as well as to add more water to the Hot Green Tea ($4.00). I did try some of the tea, and it was potent and low in bitterness. I'm pleased to report that Ari Sushi really does offer delicious sushi, enough so that I'll probably have to make more trips from Henderson to try more of their menu. If you want high quality mid-price-range sushi that's not in an all you can eat format, this is a great place to look.

We got the A menu, but honestly we could have done without the specialty items. They were good, but ordering a bunch of nigiri is enough. Overall, I would come here again, but just don't get the rolls, they're not worth your stomach space and they're not good. Would have given this place a higher rating if not for the bad rolls we had. Good price for AYCE sushi and quality is good!

i was about to hit another noodle then i decided to drive along spring mountain and randomly go…read moreinto a strip mall and pick one... i chose this place as I wanted to eat some rice and check out a sushi boat place after watching daesung (big bang) ate at one of these in japan. well, this was totally different from japan one i saw on youtube. first thing i notice is that this place was packed. 2nd thing i notice is that alot of the tables are all eating noodles... that was intriguing... examining the menu, the ramens are 7 buck.. and the sushi rolls are 10 bucks... watching all the nigiri on the conveyor, i notice there isnt any premium stuff. it was all one price... no toro, no wagyu beef. no uni.... i was thinking if i want nigiri, i should not be here since I can get ayce for like $30 bucks and eat better stuff so i pick a ramen, a roll, one salmon belly nigiri, and a beer... i like the ramen, its kid size... essentially like a cup a noodle.. very good though. the roll was good, a little bit skinnier than typical. still good... i had to get one nigiri from the conveyor, the salmon belly was the best one, 3.50 cheap... the draft beer i actually down it quick.. it was nice on a hot day in vegas... total was 31 with tip.... i think if i didnt do beer, it be like 23 + tip which is same cost as going to a ramen place... funny, im trying to optimize the food cost.. just that there is so many ayce sushi spots like literally every block on spring mountain... just make no sense to do nigiri here... unless u only eat like 3-5 plates... if u going more, forget about it, do the ayce...

We got there from out of town on week trip to Vegas. They offer a happy hour that begins at 9 pm…read morewith half price, sushi and drinks. But if you're already there before 9:00p, you do not qualify for the happy hour. Perhaps the stupidest business model I've ever heard of. All it does is leave the people they got there before nine feeling angry. To add in insult to injury, when I asked about it, the hostess got pretty defensive. This tells me that I wasn't the first person to ask about it. In any case, we won't be going back, and unless you get on their mysterious waitlist for the happy hour, you're out of luck.
