Sugared and bronzed have HORRIBLE customer service, if there is a problem = they have no one to talk with or talk to. There is no Phone number, no personal response. The girls that work in the locations have there hands tied and can not help. "that is our policy.." you can contact via email... and the response is crickets, I'll call you when I get into the office... nothing 3 times they said they would call and have not called. I will start this by saying I've been a customer of S+B for close to 7 years. Over the years I have received multiple services at multiple locations. I've been a huge advocate of their training program; I've referred many friends and never complained despite some really negative results. I scheduled a training spray tan for 10:40pm. I arrived at 10:36pm. I was told my tech was finishing a client and would be right out. A client came out, was taken back again and I was left waiting with no communication. At 10:52 I was told by my tech that she would be cleaning my room and taking me back. That tech sat at the front desk chit chatting with another tech for 4-5 minutes. At 10:57 I was then told they would need to reschedule me because they close at 11 and the power was going to turn off. At this point, 6 other customers were in the store and no one was asked to leave or warned that the power would be turning off. No announcements or warning were made advising anyone else or this power issue. I have a flight to Cancun tomorrow morning for my brothers wedding and now will not be able to receive a tanning treatment. Not only that, but I had a significant chunk of my night wasted. These technicians really failed at communication. If you cannot commit to your booked clients, that needs to be communicated. They had multiple opportunities to do so. If I was told at 10:52 that they wouldn't have time to complete it, I would have been fine, but being told twice that the room was almost ready for me while doing other things is just incredibly bad customer service. I depended on S+B to provide a service for an immensely important vacation and wedding and they failed to provide. I cannot continue to provide my business to a company that no longer values their customers or the commitments they make to their customers. read more

This was my first time doing a Brazilian sugar. Anesha was the best! So fast, professional and made the experience so easy. I've had really painful waxes in the past and so happy I switched over to sugaring. I was so happy with the experience and surprised how mild the pain was that I signed up for a membership. Overall was a decent sugaring experience but when I came home, I felt a strong sting on my left side. I found a very raw and open wound shaped in a straight line in the inner lips. It might have been because the left side was more rushed than the right and the sugar grabbed onto a very thin layer/part of skin. read more

The lady I spoke with was friendly and explained all their services and how sugaring was different from waxing. I was nervous on the day of my appointment, however, the store was beautiful and clean, and the staff was sweet. The aesthetician who helped me was very knowledgeable and explained the benefits of the sugaring process. I loved my tan the first day I got it and even the next day. I followed the instructions to prep my skin prior to getting it and also after getting it. The tan became blotchy in areas starting day 3. It may work and look great on others but it didn't for me or my sister. The staff was really nice. I really wanted to love this tan because I miss being tan. read more

I have a membership here for a few years now, for sugaring and sometimes get tans. Love the customer service here, the late hour appts (perfect for late night workers or people with kiddos) and the sugaring process is much better than wax in my opinion! They are always seemingly educated on explaining the process of sugar/tans and make you feel comfortable by answering any questions. Sugars are quick and over time become less painful the more consistent you go. I have always loved my tans too! No complaints there. I don't have a regular go to person for any service, but that's because I trust everyone I've had and the staff all seem To be thoughtfully chosen. I also don't make consistent appts due to my constantly changing schedule, but I trust all the time whoever I get will do a great job and haven't been disappointed yet. read more

Cancelled my membership and was told I had to use any remaining credits by the end of the month. I was just in last week for a sugaring treatment so there was no way I would need/be able to get another before the end of the month. Was told I could use my credit for another service, which I don't need (or want). I would just like to use my remaining single credit when I need my next sugaring next month but no, not an option. Service has always been great here but unfortunately the inability to get the service I have already paid for lessened my opinion of this company. ***Update 4/21/22: was able to come to a more favorable outcome to ending my membership after communicating with another S + B associate. read more

I've visited this Sugared + Bronzed location three times since unfreezing my Brazilian sugar membership and the best word to describe this location is inconsistent. I used to live in West LA and frequented the Santa Monica location where I've had for the most part, good experiences! That's not exactly how I'd describe my experiences here. As a whole, I've found that a lot of the practices/manners I was used to at the LA location aren't practiced here. Each time I've been sugared here, it's been rushed, they don't clean it up properly (I literally walked out with sticky bum cheeks one time), provide a mirror for you to look once they're done, and I find that they leave actual patches of hair when I've asked for everything off. I'm aware that they can't get everything off in the more sensitive areas, but I'm talking on my actual skin. Honestly, if I didn't have rollover credits on my account I wouldn't be coming back. I sincerely hope this location improves because I think their membership is a great deal and when done right, is amazing! Also please please please give us the option to choose who we'd like to sugar us when we schedule appointments! This is the part I dread the most when scheduling my appointment as I always worry I'll end up with someone that doesn't do a good job....which has happened twice at this location. read more

Super friendly staff and convenient to get an appointment at. They take 20 minute appointment increments and the whole Brazilian sugaring only takes 5 minutes or so. They were so speedy and great! It was also only $49 for the service which is cheaper than most places! Highly recommend! read more

I had personally made an appointment a week ago inside the store and left them my credit card information and they even wrote down my appointment times on a piece of paper for me along with the products that I had purchased from them. When I called today to confirm my appointment because I had not gotten any email or text messages the manager told me that I do not have an appointment whereas they had written the appointment on a piece of paper for me, which I did show them, but they still were adamant that I had called and canceled. I had even left them my credit card information in the store last week when I made the appointment. I did not cancel this appointment as I am leaving on vacation tomorrow and wanted to have the service done the day before my trip and had rescheduled my entire afternoon to have the services completed. They did not have any call log or number or any proof, but just stated that it was canceled, and were not helpful in accommodating me for the services that I had originally scheduled. Their customer service is very poor and they don't care about honoring appointments that were originally scheduled. read more

From the ease of booking online to the warm greeting I received when I walked in to the final result I am thrilled! Claire applied my faux tan and she was so sweet, thorough and a real perfectionist. After waiting 8.5 hours post appointment to shower the results are exactly what I was hoping for. Claire suggested I begin at level two and next time go for level 3 and she was spot on. Excellent customer service in a beautiful, immaculate salon. Also there was zero high pressure selling of their house products which was surprising and very welcomed!
