Love this location! For those that don't know, SUGARED + BRONZED offer sugaring and spray tanning services (hence the name). Both of these services offer a buy one, get one free first-time client special! I love this location because there's a small parking lot in the back and ample street parking. SUGARING: I've been sugaring regularly for almost a year now and I've not looked back! This review is for the Brazilian since that's the only service I've done. It's definitely a little daunting at first, especially if you've shaved all your life but the clean environment and the friendly sugaristas really make a huge difference. Plus, the results are PHENOMENAL. The appointments are 20 minutes each and you strip down and lay on a platform bed while the sugarista rolls a ball of natural sugar section by section and flicks it off quickly in the other direction to remove the hair until all the hair is gone. The "flicking" part is the part that hurts the most for me so it helps to anticipate the pain and breathe in when that happens (sometimes they count down 3...2...1... breathe in, which is helpful). The results are amazing - the hair grows out slower, thinner and it doesn't itch at all. For me, I come back every ~1.5 months and will continue to come back as long as I'm around! BRONZING: I've only spray tanned once before going to Vegas in the summer. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the first time client special also works if this is your first spray tan here! I went with the Express tan because I wanted to be able to shower after 2 hours. Out of the 5 shades, I went to "2 - post vacay" (their most popular color) but wished I went even darker! The process is relatively simple - you strip down to as much as you're comfortable and someone tans you with a spray. They also have you put on lotion on your elbows and drier areas to avoid those areas being tanner than the rest. It's important to make sure you go online and read their pre-tanning tips (exfoliate, etc.) before coming to your session. You're handed a card that has all the information you need to take care of your tan and the tan lasted me around ~1.5 weeks. Alright, if you're looking for an airbrushed tan you've found the right place. Front desk is always super friendly (I've had to push back/ change appointments and they're always accommodating) and their service is high quality and quite fast. Down to business (I'm out and dressed in 20-25), they give you a rundown of everything you need to know before and after (showering, moisturizing, etc), and are so normal and friendly while you're standing there spread eagle getting sprayed by a stranger (what's up here I am naked?). Specifically this location, there hasn't been a single person to give me lackluster service. My tans always come out even (following their instructions of when to shower and moisturize prior), and last me a solid amount of time. I like Express because you control your color based off of when you shower, but both Express and Standard are amazing prices. I've had nightmare stories of spray tans, so this is forever my go-to now that I've found it. As far as parking, there's usually street/meter parking that is usually easy to find. read more

I've gotten a spray tan three times here, once an express and twice a regular, and I've loved the results every single time! They always apply it so evenly and just the right level of darkness that I want. The express tan can be washed off after less than 4 hours which is really nice when you're in a time crunch. When I told my friends I planned on getting a spray tan for New Years they scoffed and called me Snooki 2.0. I figured I'd give it a try in order to be lookin my snazziest for my New Years festivities and I am so glad I did! This is a business run out of Courtney's home and she does an excellent job considering the price! She doesnt need any fancy studio or spa, she's got all the professional equipment and supplies and has a separate private area dedicated to tanning her clients. She was so hospitable and laid back, assuring me that whatever stage of undress I chose to tan in was just fine with her. I decided to go PG and rock my bathing suit but even if you decided to wear your birthday suit I'm sure she would be totally cool with it. She offered complimentary lemonade and water while I waited and explained everything in detail about how the tan worked, the positions I was to stand in etc. The whole shebang took about 15 minutes and I was outta there and ready to rock my tan. I recommend wearing loose fitting clothing and showering before hand, as your not supposed to shower until about 8 hours after the tan is applied in order for it to set. Any color that might show up on clothing or towels is the bronzer - not the actual tan coming off. The solution she used was derived from sugar, so it was a little sticky before it fully dried, but it wasnt orange at all. My tan was a hit and it's still looking pretty good almost two weeks later. I got a free tan with her New Years special, so ill be back next week for a repeat! Word to the wise - apply some lotion to heels, ankles and elbows, as the color seemed to be deepest in these drier areas. read more

It's perfect because I can get sprayed and don't have to worry about smelling gross for ten hours, they offer express tans and so you can shower 2-3 hours after the spray. Also, their solution does not smell as bad as other solutions and I love that it's organic. read more

I was a bit worried that the cheapest airbrush in town meant it was of lesser quality but that is most certainly NOT the case. I love being tan all the time but since it's usually pretty expensive I only get it done for special events. I was looking for something more reasonable and that's when I stumbled upon Bronzed. The girl who air brushed me was very professional and made me feel totally at ease. She paid extreme attention to detail throughout the whole process. After the spray session, she used baby powder on my joint areas to ensure the tan would dry perfectly. She also made sure to wipe down my palms with baby wipes. No other place has pulled out all those stops for me before! I was very impressed. The spray tan definitely lasted close to two weeks. When I've gotten spray tans in the past before they never seem to get that dark on me, which is always frustrating. But the airbrush tan I got from these guys definitely had me looking BRONZED. I am compelled to write my very first yelp review. Due to extensive brainwashing from mom, I always hated being tan and much preferred to look "clean and bright." With only a bit of sun, I don't get a "golden glow " but "industrial dirtiness" topped off with major hyperpigmentation spots. I never even considered stepping foot into a tanning salon of any kind. The strapless bridesmaids dress I had to wear outdoors this weekend would have exposed the many spots on my back and arms from a recent infection. To say the least, I was very nervous about the potential results. I am thrilled to report that I was and am still quite shocked with the results of Courtney's work. For the first time in my life I have a wonderful golden glow and the appearance of my many infection and hyperpigmentation spots were greatly reduced. With a bit of serious concealer, they were *totally* gone. I could not go 10 steps at the wedding without being stopped for a serious complimenting session and I know a lot of it had to do with this spray tan. With the winter months coming up, a spray tan is definitely necessary and this is the best place to go for it. The tan looks super natural and totally gave me a natural tint. The spray doesn't smell like tanning lotion or any of those other awful smells you get after you tan. The tan is done by hand which i LOVE so that every single part of you is evenly tanned. To start off with, the customer service here was fantastic, five stars for service! I was running late and they managed to squeeze me in anyway. The gal who did my tan (who's name is eluding me) was very bubbly and sweet, she made the whole thing very comfortable when ya know...being in the nude in front of a stranger is a bit awkward generally. The only reason I'm giving this three stars is that I wasn't as thrilled with the tan itself as I thought I'd be from reading the yelp reviews. The color was great and everyone who knew my pasty self from before asked where I'd went over the weekend! But, I'm nitpicky, there were some odd patches, I had WHITE feet and ankles, and a streak here and there that I found myself putting concealer on. Also the most random little white circle on one leg. Like the size of a quarter, it was actually kind of cute, haha. I guess I have big pores or something because it settled into the pores on my chest and legs and I looked like I had pretty nasty blackheads/stubble. All in all, while I had great color, I couldn't wear a low cut shirt. It's been seven days and the tan is getting patchy and literally peeling off in places despite the fact I've been careful, not exfoliated, and used oil free lotions. I look like I have a pigmentation problem, which is generally not cute. read more

I just googled it and this place seemed the most reasonably priced AND had great reviews.. so I really had no reason to not try it. I loved it! I was quickly transformed from a pale skin Chicagoan to looking like a Santa Monica local! I trust this spray tan place. Their tans come out looking natural and not too dark. You just have to be very careful not to touch any water before your recommended shower time, otherwise you will mess it up. For this reason I always do this express- smaller window for error. I wish they offered smaller packages, now you have to buy 5 tans to get a discount. read more
