When I arrived the next morning, I explained again that I didn't want the services and reiterated the situation. The staff was friendly, though clearly embarrassed. Still, the policy itself spoke volumes. Their website and advertisements say "walk-ins welcome" and "FREE consultation," yet they refused to cancel my appointment within minutes of booking. To me, that's misleading and not a good look for a company built on beauty and trust.

As far as pain goes removing the hair was painless for me but the spreading of the sugar felt a little uncomfortable. Where with waxing the application of wax is painless and the removal is uncomfortable. The main difference between the two, that I noticed is that I had less hair grow back after my first sugaring. I tried sugaring instead of waxing because my friends (in various other SoCal cities) all really enjoyed the results. And I am a fan too! So I definitely recommend westlake sugaring and Jennifer for any hair removal! Take this opportunity to try sugaring and chances are you will not go back to waxing.
