Been a sugarfish fan for years and finally got to try another location. This one is small and intimate per usual. We came for an early dinner and beat the crowd which was great. This location actually had the Hirame sushi which was so exciting since we haven't been able to get it at any other locations in years since it's always sold out. The service was quick and they were kind. I will say the busier it got the less attentive they were and forgot to fill our water and ginger. Though I love sugarfish, the proximity of your table to others will always be really uncomfortable and awkward for me as people literally have to press up against your table to sit in the booth directly next to you which has always been really weird to me. But the food was great as always. It's sadly over $100 for us to get the trust me and nozawa trust me which feels pretty high but the quality of fish is always exceptional. read more

Stopped by here as the kids were craving sushi, and we were nearby. It was delicious! The fish was fresh, and service was friendly. It also did not break the bank which was a bonus. Service was on point. Cups were always filled, and they described each dish as it came out so we knew what we were eating. My recommendation is to get the Trust Me omakase (we got the Nozawa Trust Me) so you are able to try a bit of everything. They even offered to change a hand roll into regular rolls since they knew I was sharing some of the courses with my kids. Nice touch. The bathrooms also have both scented and unscented soaps, the latter for prior to your meal. There's a parking garage across the street which was very convenient. If you haven't tried Sugarfish before, it's definitely worth stopping by. I imagine all their locations are pretty tasty. read more

Always a safe and quick go to when craving for quality sushi-The Nozawa Trust Me is our go to and the always seem to deliver no matter the location. This time also ordered the pink lobster which was the bomb!!!! In case you haven't been to sugar fish before, they provide four set menus/omakase at a very generous price. The one we ordered is about middle tier but great quality and pretty filling. - Tuna sashimi in ponzu and chive. Very vinaigrette starter (I love vinegar anything - Next you get two albacore and two salmon sushi each with its signature chive and sesame toppings to give it an aesthetic twist. Very fresh - this is followed by a Toro hand roll. No extra fillings but pure fish and seaweed roll which allows you to taste the fish and its fatty delight - this is followed by tuna (2), yellowtail (2), sea bream with citrus salt (1 piece and my favorite), and Hiram (1) sushi. All fantastic - you end with a bluefin tuna hand roll. Honestly not a huge fan of bluefin tuna in general but you can request for an alternative. - I also added the pink lobster sushi which was just DIVIne Also, each meal comes with an edamame app so no need to order. There are obviously better places, but also come with a higher price point. * Wait time could be longer if you trying to walk in on a weekend, we waited for 30 mins. So make reservations if possible We both got the Nozawa Trust Me, the portion is enough to make you feel full after the dinner. Everything is fresh, the nori hand rolls are great (prefer the toro more to the snow crab one). Everything is a solid 7-8/10, favourite is the Tuna and Chutoro Sashimi, scallop nigiri and the Hirame sushi that comes with yuzu ponzu sauce. It's a staple for sushi and won't disappoint, if you want a casual sushi meal. Ambience and service are okay, nothing exquisite. I 've been to multiple locations all over California, but the Beverly Hills location is the one I've most frequently visited. They are all extremely solid and consistent. We were celebrating a birthday but they do not do any special dessert or drink for birthdays. We both ordered the tasty me and it was fantastic taste and value. I went to the Beverly Hills location on a weekend and this spot was packed. We were lucky to be seated so quickly! They were accommodating with my no shell-fish request. We ordered the "Trust Me" menu. Absolutely love this sushi place, and it's right across to the famous Maybourne Hotel. This pace is known for is pre-set menus. And for the very well priced menus, you will get full! The sushi is fresh which is most important, and they serve it with warm sushi rice, which is a style from a certain sort of Japan. The staff is great and seating is first come first serve. I'm typically a chirashi gal and this menu definitely made the cut. They also have a variety of different sushi rolls and a la carte offerings, but you should really try their pre-set menus. I truly dislike leaving negative reviews, but this behavior shouldn't be ignored. HE WAS REALLY RUDE! When Brandon arrived, he spoke to the couple in a very condescending tone, telling them they were not allowed to eat in that spot. When I arrived, I was not helped until 5min after I arrived compared to the other bigger parties who were helped immediately. When I was finally assisted and told the hostess I was there for pick up, she did not ask me for my name and barely acknowledged me. Finally, after 15min of waiting, I decided to go up to her, ask where to pick up and she stated "I will give you your order". She handed it to me at 2:33pm. For a damn pick up, are you kidding? Also, they do state fine print that if you arrive late past 15, they'll remake your food in order to keep the integrity. No such thing was offered. If I'm paying almost $80 for a damn meal, f you. I have been a fan of Sugar Fish for years And going in on a weekly basis, and sometimes twice a week. I've had a couple of Incidents over the years But because of my loyalty I dealt with them directly versus posting Reviews. Enough is enough... I have watched workers hover over my orders and other people's orders with multiple hands inside To go orders as they are placing utensils and napkins. I have had to bring it to their attention multiple times that it was not sanitary the way these orders were handled. I Have been given the wrong orders and shorted items that I ordered and paid for, which I did not discoveruntil i made it home... But the topper is food poisoning on multiple occasions, with 2 most recent ones being the last 2 times i picked up food from the same SF location. The last time was in Feb/ March, that I took almost 2 months off from ordering from them. I wasn't quite sure if it was just a coincidence or if it was due to the quality of their food. I wrote it off as maybe I had something else going on. However, after a 2 months break and ordering for the first time last week. Within 20 minutes of eating I experienced a horrible stomachache and extremely sharp pain. I spent the next 2 hours in the bathroom. It was AWFUL My average ticket per order is $76 once a week and sometimes i order twice a week. It is a huge and expensive experience That costs way more than money. The level of discomfort and pain and dehydration I have now experienced the last 2 times I ordered from sugar fish Is beyond money. I have brought this to their attention And emailed them directly. It is obvious they do not care about the quality of their food or rather the mishandling by their staff. I am extremely disappointed in my last 2 experiences With sugarfish... Specifically the Beverly Hills location. I decided to finally write an overdue review so maybe they will finally take this issue seriously. Sugarfish is an LA institution and glad they've opened many more locations but I'm a fan of their locations on the Westside, although every location I've been to has been very consistent. The freshness of the fish is top notch and depending on how hungry I am I'll do either the trust me or the nozawa. Each set menu comes with several pieces of sushi and a few hand rolls and go so good with their iced green tea (free refills!). Servers are super attentive and kind and will serve your sushi as soon as it's prepared. Definitely make sure you eat those hand rolls quickly to get the crunch of the seaweed. I also love the zen and natural vibes inside the space, they also include service charges on your bill so no need to add anything extra! Parking available in a public lot across the street about half a block down and it's free for 2 hours before 6pm. read more

I've been wanting to try Sugarfish for a long time and we decided to finally stop by to pick some up. It was a Friday afternoon but we got lucky enough to find some metered street parking, and there is a grassy area across the street where we were able to sit and enjoy our food. We picked the Trust Me box which is $35, and I think it's plenty for one person but we decided to share it since it was more of an afternoon bite for us. I thought $35 was super reasonable for the great quality fish and condiments that come with it, but there were some vague fees (labeled fee and support local fee) so after all that and tax, it was actually $45. Everything tasted great, and the size of the fish on the nigiri was generous. I enjoyed the cut rolls as well, especially the crab. I like that it gives recommendations on which condiments to use with each fish, but honestly I just loved everything with the ponzu and lemon! It was packaged so nicely, wish we had something like this back in Sacramento! Overall very delicious way to enjoy omakase on the go. I am a Sugarfish stan!!!! I might be biased but who cares. Everyone should have positive emotions towards Sugarfish. It's quality sushi/omakase for a reasonable price. There 3 omakases to order from ranging from $40-60. Which is amazing because it's usually $100 minimum at most omakase places. With the expensive being called Nozowa Trust Me, you get edamame, tuna sashimi, 6 different nigiris (12 total), 2 handrolls, and 2 eel pieces to finish it off. I usually get full before the eel and the eel ends up being forced down my stomach. Out of all the locations, I really love the vibe this locations gives off. It's small and cozy, there a nice waiting area bar, and the area surrounding it is very lively. Sugarfish service will always be on top. I never once had a bad experience. I worked at another location before so I know how extensive the server training is. I can promise you, you'll never have a server issue. You might be the issue SO CHECK YA SELF LOL. read more
