I am reviewing the service concerning gift cards. I have ordered 2 for my son in the last few months and had issues with both. I wanted physical gift cards not e-gift cards and they offer both. The problem is getting them sent out in a timely manner and to the correct address. I'm not sure why they have such an issue with this as I cannot be the only one ordering them but the first time snafu was obviously not a fluke as I m now having a problem getting the second one delivered. My college days are winding down and I knew I was in need of a REAL suit. Not the one mom makes me where for easter every year but a suit that says hey I am a grown up. I still wanted to retain that good ol' manliness, contemporary, trendy, style and from someone that has only the manliness box checked, this was going to be a challenge. I dreaded going shopping for suits because from what I've seen, guys in suits are not stylish at all. It was either the men were over weight and big bellys and the suit hugged him like a large (but for real small) Hollister shit on Lebron, or it was baggy and didn't look good. The people I've seen that have really nice suits are normally the ones that park in front of buildings in luxury cars with hazard lights blinking. My first stop was a a Jos.A.Bank. That store I swear is where men go and give their sense of manliness style a back seat to what's acceptable at the good ol' 9-5. Having befriended a guy who worked at Bloomingdales, who introduced me to quality suits and let me feel what $1600 Black Label Jacket felt like, I called him for advice. I told him that his store was out of my price range and I didn't want to die in Jos.A.Bank. He suggested that I leave immediately and head over to Suit Supply! The store has no huge sign on the front and you've got to take the elevator to the 4th floor. (I though that this was the coolest thing). When the elevator opened I felt like a million bucks and I haven't even crossed the stores threshold. It was a glorious sight. I felt like a man star. Modern sleek contemporary design with bright lights only where they were needed. A huge tailoring machine to the right of the likes I have never seen before. It was actually quite impressive. The atmosphere was youthful but not adolescent, vibrant but not clubish. It was my kind of store. I went up to the counter and asked if some one could help me buy my first suit and Steve introduced his self and was eager and excited to help me out. Keep in mind I was dressed like I dressed myself in the dark that day. I didn't come prepared at all. That wasn't even a issue Steve not only measured me up but he explained what he was doing and why. As we talked about what I liked he suggested a Grey Napoli suit and boy did that thing look sharp on me, and it wasn't even tailored yet. Next came the shoes, shirts and ties. Now as I mentioned in the beginning I am a college student so I didn't have the money to indulge the full gamete of accessories but I WILL BE BACK. You can bet you life on it. read more

Suitsupply in Chicago has the worst customer service. - A week ago, you spend 60 minutes in the store waiting for assistance. You finally grab the attention of someone who constantly announces "were so busy" and ask them if you need an appointment the following week. The person tells you that appointments aren't necessary but they are happy to book one anyway. You book for the following weekend. - The following weekend arrives and you go to Suitsupply - only to be greeted by the same disorganized frat boy frenzy that you experienced the week before. You wait another 30 minutes to grab the attention of another person who tells you that they are too busy, only to find out that the person that you scheduled the appointment with is not there on Saturday. Epic Fail Suit Supply - not worth another visit. In a city with great custom suiting options and much more attentive bespoke service, the only thing you are is frenzied, disorganized, and not on top of it. AVOID SUITSUPPLY AT ALL COSTS. read more

I should start by saying I am probably not Suitsupply's typical customer. I'm not particularly fashionable but needed a suit that would make me look my best. A more knowledgeable colleague of mine recommended I check out Suitsupply. Great choice. They get 5 stars even though they initially screwed up my purchase. I bought a suit only to find it didn't fit after they did their in-house alterations. This could have easily turned into a terrible buying experience. Quality suits with decent service. I'll probably buy more suits in the future from this location, but there a few things that threw me off. During my second visit, the employee that assisted me spoke at length about how he went out of his way to not replace a client's clothing when that client had rubbed a hole in his pants because, as this employee told me, he had worn them incorrectly. This made me rather uncomfortable, so I'll see whether my pants develop holes in them and, if they do, whether this employee also tell me that I've worn them incorrectly, in which case I'll purchase my future suits elsewhere. Additionally, after my first round of alterations came through, both of my suits developed a bulge behind my neck due to too much fabric (a simple fix). This same employee told me that this was normal and that my posture was "too good". Never having purchased suits before, I believed him, at which point I took the suits home, googled the issue, and was back the next day, asking for further alterations. A different employee that helped me quickly corrected the problem. The suits are good. The service is hit or miss, with the misses not being all that bad. read more

Came down to Chicago for the day to buy a suit. We went to 4 different locations around Chicago and tried on a bunch of different suits at different places, including JCrew, Saks, and Brooks Brothers. SuitSupply impresses above others because, in the end, it is a dedicated suit shop. Men suits are what they do. So the entire ambiance generated focuses on perfection of that specific trade. Stepping off the elevator, you are surrounded by long long racks of suits to your right, and a wall of ties and shirts to your left. A center island houses a tailor hard at work. The staff work on commission and are incredibly helpful, asking exactly what you are looking for in a suit and helping you to choose an appropriate cut and fabric. There is a great fitting room and multi-mirror lighted try-on area. And as they mark you for tailoring, it is clear that they know how the suit should fit. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience there. I wasn't pushed to buy a suit, or pushed towards a more expensive suit. Their turn-around time is super reasonable (1-2 weeks fully tailored) and they ship for $15 flat. Very good experience. read more

And to be honest the best part of the store is the services. Each person gives you great service and the personal attention picking out great clothing that matches your body style. Ok, I've never rated a suit store before, but this place is worth checking out BUT you have got to be young, slim, and a metro guy. I'm not, but I was with my future son-in-law lawyer and we found a great suit, reasonable price for Rush & Oak, and lots of attentive staff - VERY helpful. The staff all look amazing, super slim and dressed for the venue which for an old dude can be a bit intimidating (but only for a couple of minutes) - they know their stuff, make you feel comfortable, and I think my s-i-l will look great! read more

Jonathon in the cut to the bone custom tailoring section was awesome to work with! I was getting a suit for my wedding and he had my initial tailoring done within less than 24 hours. After 5 weeks of slimming down, my pants were a bit baggy so I took them in and he had them tailored within an hr while I got lunch at gibsons. Excellent service, straight to the point yet easy going guy, and most importantly i got an incredible fitting suit for under 600. This specific store has the WORST service of an men's retail shop in Chicago. You spend an hour in the store "trying" to get the attention of a sales person. You finish that hour making an appointment the week prior for this weekend only to show up to be told the person isn't there- and then spend more time waiting. Suit Supply you're not worth it! Went back again for 2 more suits and accessories. This time I was helped by Matt who was very helpful. This time the store had a sign, a small black "SuitSupply" over it's doors. But just in case you missed that, look for the man wearing a great suit standing in front of 2 black doors. Walk to the end of the hall and take the elevator to the 4th floor. I arrived at a slow time of the day so Matt was there to immediately greet me as I stepped off the elevator. I explained that I wanted a couple suits that I saw online and he set about finding them. He found one my suits but the other wasn't in stock so he offered to order it for me and have it delivered to the store for me to try on and alter later. Trying on suits at Suitsupply is a great experience as well. You're offered a beverage, a fitting shirt, and fitting shoes. After putting on the suit, Matt offered his opinion on alterations. We both agreed on lengthening the sleeves since my arms were long and shortening the legs since I liked to have no break on the pants. I've stopped dressing in baggy suits since I've educated myself on fashion, never will I go back. After offering some great ties and ordering some items for me to be delivered in store, I was out the door happy with my purchases. I hope everyone who buys a suit in the future considers going to this store first. You can't get a suit at this price for this quality anywhere else. After many years without a suit in my closet, I went in to purchase one suit to wear for the copious weddings I'm attending in 2014 and 2015. The store is clean and well laid-out with a healthy inventory of suits, shirts, and accessories. The quality of the suit, the selection across multiple sizes, colors, and fashions, and the customer service I received will have me going back to Suitsupply in the future. The main person I worked with at Suitsupply was Phill. The commitment he showed to making sure the suit fit me properly and I was happy with my purchase was some of the best customer service I have received. He stayed late after closing to help me and obsessed over the details and tailoring on my suit. He is incredibly knowledgeable on suits, tailoring, and proper fit but also listened to my interests and personal taste when crafting recommendations. The suit I purchased has received its fair share of compliments, and even when wearing only the jacket in more casual settings it definitely stands out. I am incredibly happy with the finished product. Although I didn't get an opportunity to work with the other people at Suitsupply, they were all very friendly and seemed very knowledgeable. If you're serious about getting a suit, I'd recommend stopping in on a weekday in the evening when they're less busy. read more

Impeccable service and great fitting suits complement one another very well. To start, when going into ANY retail store I have very high expectations. Those expectations were met the moment my wife and I stepped off the elevator. I've shopped in EVERY high end" store on Michigan Ave and Oak St. over the years and to say to the least I was not always met with the level of attentiveness and professionalism that the SuitSupply fashion consultant provided. Aaron Peterson was phenomenal in helping me find a Navy Blue suit that was appealing, fit my aesthetic preference, and more importantly my physique. I am 5'7'' with an athletic build and one thing I absolutely hate in suits are ridiculous overly padded shoulders insofar I have walked out of many of stores after trying on suits and trying to be persuaded to purchase one. This is in part because sales associates are just fishing for sales. I looked into the SuitSupply before I decided to shop there. I know a lot of about suits, how they are made/constructed, and what a suit should look like - especially on me so I am no fool but some people just do not know. Needless to say, Aaron did not know any of this when I walked in but he was spot on when I asked him questions about the store's suits and their quality. Surprisingly, several stores have men and women selling suits on a daily bases that do not know anything about the product they are selling which is a huge problem for their guests. OK... The ambiance of the store gets a 10. It is spread out nicely and offers a very clean shopping environment. Every employee looks as though they just walked off a run way straight into the store - that's to say they all were very fashionable. Everyone not just Aaron was very nice and courteous. Lastly, I found their alterations reasonably priced. I could have taken the suit to my tailor but I wanted to give them the opportunity to show and prove - I pick my suit up soon. I stopped by in March needing a navy suit, and Jeremy was very helpful and answered all of my questions. He picked the London cut for me which looked great and felt wonderful. He pinned the suit for the alterations that needed to be made and it was ready to be picked up a week later. Having lived in Amsterdam for more than 3 years (home of suit supply in case you didn't know people), but i feel that they do a better job here in the US then they do back in NL. Chris A is amazing and has assisted me on several occasions. Very genuine, honest and skilled tailor. What's important to know about suits is that it isn't about the designer or cloth but the fit. Everyone is different but if u can make a $500 suit look pricey ( like suit supply does), then this is a place worth sticking too. read more

Will be contacting BBB. I purchased a custom suit on September 30th for a wedding at the end of October. Was told that it would be in on time. Spent more than 700 dollars. I received no communication at all until the Friday before the wedding I reached out and was told suit was here. Then immediately received a phone call from manager that the box from Italy with my name on it was empty, told that this has never happened before. Was then encouraged to come in get fitted for a temporary suit for wedding next day and that since this never happens I would be receiving my suit for free. I came in for a temporary suit which was tailored quickly and does not fit at all. I received an email two weeks later informing me my suit was in. I presented to store and they again could not find my suit. I then asked for a refund and they informed me that they are unable to refund me the money until they have the suit in hand. It's been an entire two months now. I have not heard from them at all. They essentially stole my money. Do not do business with this company. Go elsewhere for your suits. read more

Just came back from their Chicago store. I was in town for business and decided to check it out since they don't have a store in Miami where I live. Was helped by John and it was a great experience. Went into the store and immediately mentioned that I was browsing their offerings and wouldn't be purchasing anything at this time. Despite that, John was very helpful and informative. Was very honest with his answers to my questions. Ended up trying two suits and figured out exactly what fits and size work for me (Napoli and Washington, 40S). Great quality suits with everything well thought out, down to the last detail. Why anyone would buy a suit anywhere else is beyond me to be honest. I'm glad I made it out to the store. Now when I'm ready to buy a new suit I know exactly what to order online and have it shipped straight to my place with no second thoughts. Wow this is a hidden gem on Rush. After years of either getting a substandard suit for a decent price or paying a fortune for the real deal, I have found the place I'll be getting all my suits. Jon Y. helped me when I wandered into the store one day while noticing all the changes on Rush. He showed me around and explained the layout of the place. He took one look at me and figured my size, then asked a bunch of questions to actually get to know ME and MY style before recommending some options. He talked about creating a style (since that's just not my specialty) and then put together some cool combos for me. He was friendly, the store was not crowded, and even had an outdoor patio for you to lounge on while you wait for alterations. The biggest thing, though, is that the prices are amazing. For a little more than a Suit Warehouse (sic) you can get a top of the line suit that actually fits, and it's only half the price of a high end clothier. Did I just have a Pretty Woman moment at Suitsupply? The part where Julia Roberts was shopping and was told she "couldn't afford it"? Things started off well when my fiancé and I walked into the store. Jonathon quickly asked if we were looking for anything in particular. We were looking to purchase a suit for our wedding, hoping to learn more about what options we have from off the rack to full customization (it is for a special day after all). While Jonathon went to find the jacket in the size and color we were looking for, we walked around and wandered to the side room where they have the samples for customized suits. This was when a female associate in a white suit who was on the phone thought she would put her conversation on hold to inform us that "those are not for sale". We were taken aback by her words and felt like we were being shooed away. We went back to the main room and continued discussing different options when Jonathon brought out the jacket we were waiting for. He even walked us back to the same side room to show us some fabric samples. In the end, we appreciated the information that Jonathon provided. He was knowledgable. But the experience was tainted by the other associate's careless comment. read more

Absolutely terrible. I was in the store for about 10 minutes and while there were at least 5 to 7 associates on the floor or behind the counter, no one even acknowledged me. It would be one thing if they were slammed busy - that I get. But this was nothing more than a bunch of pretentious snobs that would rather talk about who is closing the store and look at themselves in the mirror versus acknowledge a customer. DO NOT SHOP HERE! We bought my fiancé's wedding suit and had the groomsmen also purchase clothes for the wedding here and it has been a disaster. The groomsmen live all over the country so they were measured where they live and then were told to text their measurements to the salesman that was helping us. The salesman took days to respond if he even responded at all, and so far ALL THE GROOMSMEN have received the wrong sizes. On top of that, when we picked up my fiancé's suit it was wrinkled and looked a mess. Hopefully we can get this figured out by the wedding date but what an awful experience so far! read more

I cannot stand shopping in general and any time I've tried to purchase a suit has ended in disaster. When I do shop, it normally takes me forever. Suit supply is the bomb. Benjamin asked me questions about how I would use the suit and what I preferred and within a half hour to forty five minutes I was ready to roll. The suit made me look like an absolute boss and I am pretty happy. I just wish I could mix/match suit jackets and pants as my pants are a little tighter in the crotch than I'd prefer. They did their best to tailor the pants, I just don't have a skinny butt or thighs. Bottom line, if you want to look like James Bond or one of the guys from Mad Men, drive down to Chicago and get a real suit from Suit Supply. read more

Went to this joint to get a few pieces for everyday wear; checked things out and picked out some stuff to come back for on another day. Returned and mistook one cat for another cat but both cats were cool. Appreciated this! Staff was great --the ones I worked with, but others there seemed to be more interested in the experience of working as opposed to actually working. In that, it is great that they look good but they seemed to lose the insight that they are there to make me look good. So, overall, customer service could be better. I will go back though for some more pieces --the sales cat i worked with knew his stuff which instilled confidence so I will be back. Bought 3 suits here. Fit and look we're great initially, but after ~2 years of ownership I have holes in the back of 2 pairs of pants where my wallet sits. For my La Spezia ($1000) suit I probably wore those pants 20 times and dry cleaned them once. Not going to be a repeat customer, unfortunately due to the poor fabric survivability. The suit that didn't have fabric issues turned shiny after a couple dry cleanings. Sad face. read more

A friend of mine recommended we make the trek from Cleveland to Chicago and get all my groomsmen's suits from this place. The idea was that whatever money we were going to put towards our tuxedos that we could put it towards a nice fitting suit that was of good quality.. to start off, I'm super happy that my buddy convinced me to come. The quality of suits are great, the service-level was next to none, and they made us feel at ease. We made prior arrangements with the store manager to have our fitting during non store hours and they were beyond accommodating. The store is a floor penthouse with a great terence and view of the city. All of my dudes were super happy with the service and the suit look and quality, and to make it even better the suits are a great deal for the imported Italian fabric you get. You don't have to drive from Cleveland to get a quality suit, but I'm glad we did. If you're in the Chicago area I highly recommend getting your next suit from these guys. Whether it's biz, formal or casual you're looking for, the selection is great. You won't be disappointed. You definitely should give them a try. read more
