I'll start off just saying this isn't my real name. The service at Suitsupply is fantastic. Unfortunately they're pretty much selling garbage. Made in China with a fancy label, looks good but falls apart like an unstable girlfriend when the moon is full.. or whatever. Both mine and my roommates suits have completely fallen apart, either ripped at the butt or the crotch completely. Poor stitching.. but you got coffee while you wait. Save your money for a quality product. I loved the fabric and the cut but the bottom line is that even with minimal use the suit just does not cut it. What a bummer. read more

SuitSupply reached out to me when I forwarded them this review. They offered to buy me a suit. The cost was around $450. Paolo is the manager in the Chicago store. He took care of me. I dropped by without an appointment and it wasn't a problem. He is a nice guy and knowledgeable. I had to originally redo or have alterations done offsite because SS forgot to do them but still charged me. So at this point instead of losing $800+ I am out $400. Better but not perfect. SuitSupply still has problems with their alterations dept. Paolo is the boss and he told them to install buttons for my suspenders. When I picked up the suit that they express mailed to me it wasn't done. So I had my dry cleaner do it for $18. Not a catastrophe, but not cool either. Bottom line. I do not recommend going here. The sales associate we worked with was condescending, rude, inattentive, insulting, and extremely unhelpful. He made assumptions about the number and quality of the suits we could afford, ordered my husband out of a dressing room when he was popping in to put on a suit shirt he brought, insulted my husband's stature, and wouldn't answer our questions directly. For example, we pulled two suits to try on and he assumed we only wanted to try on one, so he recommended a navy one for someone looking for a "first suit." First suit?? Dude my husband's 30 years old and works in finance. You really thought this was a "first suit"? I assure you that's just one example of many. read more

Don't waste your money. You will do better at Nordstrom and neiman, Hugo boss. My son bought a suit. They measured. Spent 1k came back 1 sleeve much shorter. The guy said it looks fine. I then spoke with assistant manager, who agreed with me. Told me they could shorten his shirt sleeve !!!!!! What the hell? Bring in all his shirts and shorten them? He said they measure one sleeve and altered both with the 1 measurement. Anyone knows everyone arms are different length. Any decent Men's store measures both. Finally got it redone, but will NEVER go back and have already convinced a wedding party to not go there, which they were going to do. Run!!! Looks cool but very unprofessional. I was dismayed at how poor the service was here. I came with a friend who needed to buy a tuxedo (Read: he wasn't just shopping around. He was definitely going to drop a few hundos there). What should've been a pretty straightforward, less than 30 min experience was actually a dysfunctional, train wreck of an affair. Throughout the entire time, we kept exchanging "wtf is going on" glances. So we come in, see some sales associates frantically running around (i.e. not really setting a comfortable environment but whatever) and get shepherded into a room off to the side. So far so good. Issues are: 1) Sales associate offered water, coffee or tea which is great BUT a) know that your competitors are serving their customers beer, wine and liquors and b) don't serve these beverages in a styrofoam cup if you have "corporate social responsibility" section on your site. (Also, it's 2017. Maybe have actual glassware?) Oh and - the corporate social responsibility section on your site should be fixed - it just points to "Philosophy"which says nothing about your corporate social responsibility principles. 2) The sales rep helping us out kept walking away for long periods of time during the fitting. He'd ask my friend one simple question and would then disappear for 10 minutes. Then another sales rep "took over" so we had to give him the whole rundown only to have the first sales rep take over again. And we had to give him an updated rundown. What kind of disjointed process is this? I mean honestly, my friend knew exactly what he wanted. So it should've been straightforward. It should've been - come in, tell the sales associate which tux he wants, get fitted, give payment, leave. He shouldn't have had to wait that long in between each touchpoint to throw down a big chunk of change for something that he knew he wanted while the sales associates were running ragged doing who knows what. If it's a staffing issue, hire more people. Honestly, I don't know why someone would come here over the numerous other outfitter options in town. Such a frustrating experience. read more

I went to this place 3 weeks ago where I was greeted and helped by Michael. He did a great job of fitting me and advising me on some options, and I agreed to order a suit. They didn't have it in stock, but he assured me that he could order it and it would take maybe 3-4 days to come in. Michael told me that I would get an email when it came in. After 2 weeks and not hearing from anyone, I called the store. The guy who answered the phone told me that if I didn't get an email, my suit wasn't in yet. I then remembered that I had Michael's card, so I emailed him. He wasn't working at the time, but he did contact the manager Paolo who did some checking. My suit had come in within the time frame Michael had said it would, but for some reason I didn't get the email they sent me. I couldn't believe that I would've missed the email, but Paolo was able to verify that they definitely sent it. I made it in for the fitting, and let me say that the fabric feels fantastic. Great quality wool, and other than hemming the bottom, there won't be any need for alterations. In short, Michael nailed it when he took my measurements. So I originally gave them a bad review because I felt that they had dropped the ball on notifying me my suit was in. But when I went in for the fitting, Paolo didn't toss it back in my face that they had sent the email. That my friends, is called A+ customer service. Even when the customer may have been wrong, they took the blame and didn't make a big deal about it. There's a ton of places that would've done the opposite. Needless to say, I will be returning. Man, do they try. I like their stuff. But I don't have a 29 inch waist and I don't wear a 38-40 suit jacket: I'm a 44 or 46. And frankly the team is almost condescending. Today they told me that if I wanted them to get a few suits in my size, I'd have to pre-buy them: and I wouldn't have to if it was a 38-42. Of course they could return them if I didn't like them. But the subtext is clear: you're not really our market. We bought some things at the Seattle store late last year. They were awesome. We patronized the original location in Laren, the Netherlands, where they were wonderful. I grabbed a shirt in Washington, D.C., with not a second of side-eye. I'm done I think. My fiancé and I went to Suit Supply to pick out a suit for him for our wedding. Staff was very friendly and helpful, though after being there for 1.5 hours in the slow (on their end) process of shopping, measuring, etc., it turns out they were entirely out of stock of essentially all fabric - they checked 8+ fabrics, in all shades of classic grays, and they were out of literally everything. When we asked if it was possible for them to alert us if any shades came back in stock, they said we would have to call ourselves and then come back in for an hour of measurements as they had no ability to keep my fiancé's measurements on file. Their suits are a great price for custom made suits ($650) so perhaps you are paying for the level of cheap service you get. However, for their branding of bespoke suiting it was a let down, and a huge waste of time, not to mention there are other companies in the city that offer the same product at a similar price point with much, much better service (e.g. Tie Bar). read more

Just had an individual appointment and due to Chicago traffic and parking I was about 20 minutes late. Once I got there, Jonathan was very helpful and knew my exact size without asking. While I was standing around waiting, several staff members offered to get me water and made sure I was being helped. My original appointment was with Louie and while she was still busy Jonathan helped me get started with my size and the proper fit. Then Louie helped a lot with what would look good on my frame and drape properly as well as getting my pants sized properly. Overall, 10/10 for Jonathan and Louie. Jonathan for his experience and expertise with sizing, and Louie for knowing what looks good on a man. I recommended this location to anyone looking for a suit within the $500-1000 range, especially because they do in-house tailoring. They also offer custom suits starting around $600+ depending on the material but most people should have no issue finding their proper fit off the rack with minor adjustments. If I did not have a perfectly sized second hand suit lined up I would have definitely purchased my suit there on the first day I went in. Excellent service for an excellent product. I've been a loyal customer of Suitsupply for the last few years and their suits have now completely taken over my closet. Quality and service are excellent! I always get compliments about their suits. I had a work trip to Chicago and was flying out in the afternoon from NY. When I was about to leave, my blazer got snagged on the door and was beyond repair. Without enough time to go to their NY location before my flight, I called Suitsupply's Chicago store for help. Constantine was incredibly professional and helpful picking out styles based on what I was looking for and going through my past order history. He texted me pictures of what the suit looked like in the store and under natural lighting. He had the pants hemmed same day and personally dropped off the suit at the hotel since the suit was ready just after the courier service time cutoff. Constantine truly went above and beyond and am forever grateful for his help in a time crunch! 5 stars for the above and beyond service in make sure my business meeting the next day went without a problem! Don't rely on these guys to make you look your best on your wedding. They really are the wrong place to go. Service and attitude is absurdly bad. This location is mostly young 20-somethings who have been seemingly wearing suits for a few months but fancy themselves experts. This location's manager, Paolo, is particularly disappointing. He's really transactional, trying to rush you out of the store, and doesn't listen. He's more interested in forcing his opinion on you than responding to how you feel. Sorry, Paolo, you really mistreated me after spending $3,000+ in tuxedos with you. I can't imagine how you treat people who only buy one suit for $500. I recently had two tuxedos made for my wedding. My initial sizing was mid-May. I came back for the final sizing a month later in June and Danas, one of the associates, made some pretty meaningful adjustments. I was actually surprised at how many changes he was making and the significance of them. In that period between sizing I lost about 5 pounds. How wrong did you get the initial sizing that losing 5 pounds means you have to make such massive alterations? I mean they took every part of the pants and jacket in a ton. I was really nervous. I called a few days later and had to argue with the store manager, Paolo, to expedite the adjustments because there were so many and I was nervous about potentially needing more alterations. He reluctantly agreed to let me come in three days later. When I got in to the store (three days before my wedding and nervous as could be) he said multiple times, "This is the best we could do to salvage the suit with all of the weight you lost. We had to make massive alterations." Salvage the suit? Thanks man that gives me great confidence. I tried both tuxedos on and was not pleased with the appearance of either. The lapel didn't lay flat, the pants pockets bowed out, and the jacket was a full inch too long. I asked Paolo if they could adjust these things and quickly, and he kept telling me I didn't need it. I'm sorry Paolo but I wear custom suits to work every single day, and I know what looks good and what doesn't. Stop trying to talk me out of making changes because I'm dissatisfied. Do you not care that your customer isn't happy? I walked out of the store really hanging my head. I just wasted $3k on tuxedos I wasn't happy about and my wedding was in three days. I'm screwed. What an awful and helpless feeling. After an hour of feeling miserable about the experience, I decided to not accept Paolo's bad advice and remain so unsatisfied with such an important part of my wedding. I called Paolo and asked again if I can bring the tuxedos back in for adjustments. He said there's no way they can do it in time and that he couldn't do anything about it. I said please this is my wedding can you try? He said there's a lot of people in line in front of me. I asked if they were all getting married too. He said no. I asked if he could check again. He puts me on hold and comes back and says the following (you can't make this up): "Okay fine, they can do it. I have to take care of my tailors, you know. Bring them in tomorrow, the tailors are leaving soon." You have to take care of your tailors ahead of your customers?!? What?!? And why can't I drop them off at night so the tailors can get started in the morning? Paolo --- you get an "F" in customer service, customer experience, and general judgment. You could not have possibly made me feel more frustrated or disappointed. In the end, I gave up and didn't bring my tuxedos back in because I stopped trusting this store and their employees. I didn't trust them to fix what I wanted, how I wanted, and without screwing up something else. I will never, ever shop here again. Good riddance. **Follow-up as of Sep 1, 2018: Despite the store manager below offering to contact me and me posting my email address, nobody ever reached out to me. I am *very* picky with clothes, and particularly suits, in regards to the fit. For the longest time I have been trying to find a suit I really liked, I even went so far as to pony up $800 or so and pay to have one of those traveling tailors measure me and build one custom (made to measure, not bespoke), and the finished result was pretty disappointing, I prefer some of my off-the-rack suits that I had tailored locally to the custom suit. I had read about Suitsupply originally from the WSJ article, which is where I'm sure many of you first heard of it, and decided to try them out. Originally I ordered the Washington fit online, figuring the return policy is so solid why not just give it a shot. The suit was really nice, but it was just too slim for me which is HIGHLY unusual because 99% of the time the issue i have with clothes is they are cut too full. The Washington fit goes out the window if you spend any time in the gym, its mainly the arms that are too tight (getting my arms in the thing was seriously like stuffing a sausage), but the cut is super lean overall. Also I like peak lapels, but the peaks are a bit too aggressive for me on this one. Fast forward a few weeks later, I was in town for a few nights and I knew they had a location in Chicago so I figured I'd stop in (on NYE). After trying on basically everything that existed in a 40 except the Jort (too expensive, didn't want the temptation when I could literally get two suits there for the Jort price), I figured out quickly that every other model did not suffer from the same overly restrictive size issues of the Washington, but the standard Napoli was probably my favorite. That is until the damn salesman insisted I try on the $1k Jort, and when I did .... sure enough, damnit, it was the best looking suit I have ever tried on and I got the sinking feeling I'd be leaving the store $1k lighter. Off the rack, I literally needed to do *nothing* other than hem the pants. For reference I am 6'1 180 lbs and the jacket was 40 long, though I think I could have gone with a regular if need be. The salesmen/women were the most knowledgeable and professional of any clothing store I've ever been to, it was clear they not only knew what they were doing but also enjoyed it, and they were very patient with my indecisiveness on NYE around closing time when I am sure they just wanted to go home and drown in champagne. read more

The first thing you need to know before going is that the sizes and fits at SuitSupply are very European, so leave your ego at the door; you will be forced to get a larger size than normal. I went from a 36 to a 40, and the sales guy said he is normally a 30 but has to go for a 34 there. It also means cuts are tighter, and everything hugs more than traditional American styles. That being said, this place is pretty great. I've only been there once, and that was just for a pair of slacks, but I will definitely be going back when I need a suit. Everyone there (guys and girls) looks like they could model for the store, but they couldn't be more helpful. As some other reviewers mentioned, I never felt like they were trying to sell me, they were just legitimately trying to figure out what I was looking for and how they could make that happen. Also, as a tall guy, I was very happy to find that not only do they carry sizes that fit me, but they actually have them in the store! For context, I wear a 38" inseam and a 37" sleeve, and was very skeptical about their "long" pants fitting, but lo and behold, they're pretty much exactly the right length, and with a cuff, to boot! If anything, the pants might be a little too long, but they have a tailor standing by so I'm sure you could get them hemmed to the right length if you're too tall for a regular length but not quite tall enough for the long. The only draw back is that they're a little pricey (at least for someone who typically doesn't shop for fashion), but definitely not as expensive as some. I stopped into Suitsupply today looking for a suit for grad school interviews for physician assistant programs. I'd read some really positive things about the brand and the stores on Reddit and decided to have a look myself. Needless to say, it didn't disappoint. I was immediately greeted upon entering the well-appointed penthouse space. Gabrielle asked how she could assist me and I let her know what I was looking for - something conservative without being stodgy, and with enough personality that it would help me stand out a little bit from the other applicants. I was offered a drink while I tried on suits, as well. I settled on a Lazio in plain navy wool (Super 110 from Vitale Barberis Canonico). It's one of the least expensive suits that they have ($499), but it fit my style needs and my budget perfectly. Gabrielle didn't pressure me trying to upsell to a more expensive suit like I've had happen at other stores in the past, which was a pleasant surprise. I bought one of Suitsupply's Traveler series shirts, as well, since the fit and feel were excellent. Cost for alterations on the suit was minimal, and they have tailors in-house so I should have my new suit in my hands in less than five days. All things told, I was in and out in under an hour, and I couldn't have imagined a more positive experience. The best suit shopping experience there is in Chicago. Well designed, well priced suits and menswear all in the most gorgeous penthouse setting. We were on the hunt for a tux at Barney's, and happened to see the rooftop deck of this building and voyeuristically asked our sales person who/what the awesome rooftop (teak, lounge chairs, shrubbery, etc) belonged to. He said Suitsupply, out of Amsterdam. We were intrigued. So, we took the elevator up to the cheerily designed Dutch looking space. Our suspicions were confirmed, it was one of the most gorgeous rooftops we've seen in Chicago. That aside, the experience was second to none. My fiancee was whisked away to try on perfect suits-- slim legs/not too slim, no pleats, European cuts, fabulous fabrics, and all tailored on site. I was offered an espresso and sat on the rooftop soaking up the sun and on my iPad, using their free wifi. The salespeople there are generally very attractive and well dressed men, which makes the shopping trip that much more fun for me. Eye candy, check. Best part, I assumed we would be talking Barneys prices. The tux with alterations was around $500! Love this place. read more

I was in Chicago for 1 night over the holidays and wanted to buy a suit. I did my research on Yelp and the reviews for Suitsupply seemed to match what I was looking for the best. The place is a little hard to find nusseled inbetween standard businesses. The elevator up made me feel like I was traveling over my price range. The place was extremely well designed and the staff there were awesome. By the time I picked up a suit, Chris came over and helped answer my questions and go over sizing. It helped I checked out their website and already knew what I was looking for. He made the measurements and I was out of there in no time. I told him I was only in for the night and he said he'd make sure the suit was ready the next day before I left. The next day I came in early and it was already ready. I tried it on and felt like a million bucks. The final price was very reasonable and I'll be coming back here every time I need a new suit. I ended up wearing it to a NYE party and got tons of compliments. My date and I were one of only a few couples whose picture got posted on their FB page. The suit designs and cuts are based on the current trends (European hems, tapered sleeves and trousers) which is perfect for most occasions. If you're after a style you've seen in men's fashion magazines and blogs, this a good place to start! There's even a smaller selection of more conservative attire for those who need their suit in a business formal environment. There's three different labels Blue Label, Red Label and Purple Label that offer finer thread counts and more rich fabrics in that order. The system used to capture tailoring adjustments is great and makes for a very streamlined experience all over email.Tailoring deadlines are often exceeded and completed early in my experience. It's hard for me to say how the service really stacks up at this location. The staff was swamped trying their best to offer full attention service during the handful of times I have visited and apologized for the longer delays in between customers as they were short staffed. Ultimately, every retail store is more than likely to experience large rushes of foot traffic so having a good balance of staffing is very key. The time I did spend with the staff was good (4 out of 5) in most visits but there were times I observed the staff bouncing customers back-n-forth during those high-foot traffic rushes. Input and recommendations with tailoring adjustments are usually sound so you should feel comfortable considering any of their guidance once you get to this part of the experience, provided you're working with a staff member who understands what you're looking to do. Overall, Suitsupply offers a refreshing suit shopping experience! I really like this place, I really do. I also find this place a little arrogant. Both of which I kind of enjoy. I come into this place and they have all these great suits on display. I want to buy a lot of these suits and looks. Everyone who works here wears the clothes and I don't know how many times I've told the person I'm working with, "I want that jacket.' I bought my suit here for my wedding. I really wanted it to be a 3 piece but the sale guy said the that the tailor, Zach, was out of the country and that we wouldn't have time for one. My suit was off the rack and tailored to fit me. When I came to pick it up, I couldn't believe how well it friggin fit. If you've never had a suit to taylor then seriously come here and get one. Zach just happened to be here that day and I approached him in regards to getting a vest made for me. He stated he was booked that day but to come back the next and we'd work something out. After getting measured, he said he'd need 6-8 weeks, the wedding was in 7. I told him to go for it, I mean if I got it afterwards then I'd still have a great 3 piece suit. Ask me for my wedding pics because I looked fantastic in my 3 piece suit! He was able to put a rush on it and I got it 4 days before the wedding! Incredible work. I walked in to SuitSupply expecting a heavy sales pitch, so I went in prepared, knowing what I wanted: a light gray, two piece, wool, diverse for business and weddings suit. I walked out with a light gray, three piece, linen causal suit with patch pockets and some loudish buttons. I couldn't be happier. I'd read about SuitSupply on some men's fashion blogs, and was intrigued by the mix of contemporary and classic suit cuts, colors, styles, and especially affordable prices. I'd also been putting off buying a new suit for a while. My past shopping experiences for suits have been at Nordstrom's, which is good, but somewhat more aged, and Bonobos, which is younger, but pricey for the product. I was greeted by Zach who listened to what I was looking for, offered me the choice between off the rack (OTR ) or tailoring, and then proceeded to take out a variety of suits in my size, based on my requests. There was a gray wool, but with larger peak lapels. There was a darker gray chalk stripe three piece. There was a mid- gray two piece that was a bit out of my price range. For each, I tried on the jackets, checked out the look in the large mirrors and could get a taste of what each cut provided, how formal/casual they were in the details, and so on. At no point did I feel like I was being "sold" to. When I picked out what I liked, it was pinned and measured. I'll be 100%, I didn't LOVE it, but I needed a suit, and I loved the atmosphere of store. When I got the suit back a few days ago it fit perfectly, not too slim, not too boxy, just the right summer, casual (but not overly casual) wedding/dinner/stroller. The atmosphere of the store is minimal, hip, Eurocentric. The guys working there could come off as intimidating if you're easily intimidated. They have style, and they wear it well, but they're just dudes trying to help you achieve the same; friendly, courteous, good guys. You'll be offered a beverage while you're looking. If you ask, they'll help you find shoes, match shirts and ties to the textures and formality of the suit. The suits are a great quality, and unless you're going full custom, they're one of the only few places that has suits that go as small as 32. With that said, this store's service could be better. Also note, that they don't have all suit sizes and colors in stock. You'll most likely have to purchase the suit before even getting to try it on. They do have the style in your size though, just often times, not in the color you'd like to check it out in. I went into the store with two suits in mind and wanted to try them on. After trying on the suits and another additional suit that the sales person recommended, I felt pressured by the sales person to get the higher end suit that they were recommending. The suit they were recommending was alot more expensive than the one I was considering. Despite shooting their recommendation down, they kept insisting on getting that suit. Also the thing that irked me throughout the entire process was that the sales rep helping me out kept walking away to help other clients, in the middle of my fitting. I guess it makes sense considering how busy the store tends to be. I feel like the service in the store needs improvement, and they need to know what each customer wants. It seems like they're quick to make recommendations and moreso force their opinions on you rather than work with you in getting what you want. I decided to go full custom in the end. read more

Terrific experience. I haven't bought a suit in years and my last was fairly weathered. I had heard of terrific reviews from Suit Supply stores over in Europe and then saw there was one in the area, so I headed over one day after work. I happened to get Ben and he did as terrific of a job as everybody here says. Great advice and choices that put me in the right direction. I have a hard time imagining going elsewhere for a suit at this point. The only slight I may make is that I'm fairly sure they charge more to buy the suit in the store than they do online even though you do not receive and special tailoring or fitting in the store (this costs extra/is not included with the suit). While it isn't a huge problem, it is a bit annoying as the suit I bought was sold online for roughly $150 less. I presume this just becomes essentially rolled into the price as a service fee of some kind, but I wasn't expecting it. Overall, if you're looking for a suit in the $600-1200 range and prefer slimmer/more European fitting, I have a hard time beating this spot. When I come into a custom suit shop which is what I wanted I expect to be measured, shown material options and discuss design. Also I expect the person I am working with is ONLY working with me. Instead I am told I have to put on a suit to proceed. I get into a stall to change like I am in a department store. Guess what... the suit doesn't fit at all. Meanwhile the person supposed to be there for me - Matthew M - Is no where to be found. So I am in my underwear with nothing fitting wondering where this guy is. Another person comes by and I ask them to get him. He makes me change into another suit and another shirt again. Several times he is no where to be found and I am just wondering around. Also if you want me to try on a suit - can you please not give me a pair of shoes that look like they have been chewed up by a dog? None of this makes me comfortable at all. Who likes to be squeezed into a suit and then told now I am going to make alternations on you. At no point were any measurements ever taken. I was pinned into a suit and sweating and hating the whole process. Meanwhile they never ask how I want to modify the vest or if I am interested in a shirt or a tie... Why would you not upsell me - I am literally hoping for it. I was planning to come back and have a few others get their suits here but not happening. Very disappointed. I also asked if a person doesn't fit into a suit what they do - well then you work with another rep... maybe it's the rep? This is not my first time having a custom suit made but this rep talked to me like this was my first suit and never explained any of the process. Had I known this is the process - I would not have wasted my afternoon driving and looking for parking and dealing with this situation. To top it off - I assumed making an appointment meant that there would be me and maybe a couple others - but instead there were least 15-20 people all wandering around. Suitsupply may not be of the same quality or price as the Hermes store next door, but it will still have you looking spiffy for the office and at a reasonable price. The quality materials and construction will look equally good at a party as they will in the boardroom. Just don't expect a bespoke suit. Despite being an online retailer, they carry a great range of sizes in the store that will match many body types, certainly more than you would find at Nordstrom. The store attendants were knowledgeable and helpful. The in-store tailoring, while convenient and reasonable, was not up to the standards of some of the better tailors you could find in the city. read more

I just got a 3 piece suit for my wedding. I called and made an appt. The suit was not made completely from scratch but it looks like it was. I have a tailor made jacket and suitsupply does a great job. There are many options for you to customize your suit. If you want a suit and you don't care about fit go to Macy's or jcrew. And btw, no one can see who made your suit but they can see how it looks on you and fit is most noticeable. Buying a suit at suitsupply was a first class experience. Zach helped me pick out my threads and explained everything. Everyone at suitsupply was super friendly and happy to help. It just doesn't get better than this. My fiance and I went to Suitsupply this weekend to look for a suit for the wedding reception as well as for another wedding event. The store is a organized like a dream. Everything is very clearly marked and hung in color coordinated sections, with a bright and modern decor. We were immediately greeted and helped by Steven, who was nothing less than amazing. Like, there's customer service, and then there is this. And Suitsupply operates at a customer service level that is above and beyond, while still being welcoming and not pretentious. Steven patiently worked with us over the course of 2 hours. We described what we were looking for, which basically just meant the color that we were interested in, and Steven took care of the rest. He pulled sample suit after suit, and worked with my fiance to figure out the perfect size and cut for him. So for those of you who don't know - Suitsupply buys their fabrics from the leftover scrap from some of the top suit suppliers around the world, at a great discount. They use that fabric and stitch their own suits, with a variety of 5-6 different types of cuts. While you may not always find the fabric you love, in your favorite cut and size...this is what allows them to keep their costs extremely low for the quality suit you're getting. They do have additional options on their website, so be sure to ask them to check the website if there's a suit you like that is not in your size. My fiance takes longer to pull the trigger on purchases than anyone I know. I wanted to start this shopping process now so he could have his usual 3 month time period to shop around and weigh all the options in time for the wedding. We had no intention of purchasing anything so soon. We walked into Suitsupply, and left 2 hours later after buying 2 suits right there on the spot. It was just simply too good to pass up. My fiance is a very slim guy and has a hard time finding ready made suits that fit slim enough. We had assumed we would end up needing to get custom made suits for the wedding, but Suitsupply had sizes and cuts that fit him just as well as any custom suit ever could. It's like the suits were tailored just for him and I don't think he'll be able to wear any of his old suits ever again, now that he knows there's a better option out there. Prices are great, service is great, options are vast and constantly changing...I'm pretty sure Suitsupply is going to be his exclusive suit supplier for a very long time. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. We went to SuitSupply for the first time on the afternoon of Sunday 4/8/18, and I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for personable customer service. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. We ended up spending 2 hours at this place, maximum 20 minutes with an actual person helping us. The remaining 1 hour and 40 minutes was spent waiting around for this said person while he was going back and forth helping other customers. He would give us one suit to try, disappear for 20-30 minutes, listen to us for barely a minute and bring us another suit to try on our own, before disappearing again to help someone else out. By the time he finally decided to actually help us out for more than a minute, it turned out that the fabric color that we were looking for was "out," and would be out-of-stock for an indefinite period of time. So, in summary, we waited 2 hours for shoddy customer service and in the end, they couldn't even supply the fabric color that we were looking for in the first place. Why weren't we informed of their inadequate fabric supply from the beginning? What a horrible experience. I know other people who have been here who have also had similar experiences. Yelper, let me save you some time and parking money: skip this place. Buy a suit online and go to a tailor you trust. SuitSupply, thanks for nothing. read more

Hands down the best menswear spot in Chicago. Casual, business, formal - this place should be every guy's go-to spot for the best styles and selection. The clean and modern penthouse store has an incredible rooftop patio where you can relax and take in the gold coast views with a beer (Heineken, of course) or coffee. I was referred to Suit Supply through a good friend of mine. I was in the market for a high end suit in order to improve my professional wardrobe, and my experience here was fantastic! From start to finish, Paolo and his team took the time to identify some really good options for exactly what I was looking for. This suit shopping experience was second to none. My boyfriend and I stopped in to see if we could quickly find him a suit before our flight home to Fort Lauderdale. Phillip greeted us promptly and helped us out - we needed a dark, conservative suit and my boyfriend has a hard body type to fit. Phillip took one look at him and got his size exactly right just by eyeballing him! The suit fit perfectly and we were so thrilled we asked for his recommendation on a shirt and tie as well. He was attentive to our needs and listened to our direction. We wound up with a lovely, well made and well priced suit. Additionally, since Phillip did such a great job fitting my boyfriend, all we needed to perfect the suit was hem job on the pants. Their in house seamstresses had that done in well under an hour, as the suit was packaged up and ready to fly with us by the time we got back from picking up lunch. We will absolutely shop at this location again the next time we're back in Chicago - I just wish they had such a bespoke experience for women! read more

LOVE THIS PLACE!! Such great attention, great quality, and I got an AMAZINGLY FIT suit. I got the Napoli in Navy. Very reasonably priced for the quality and fit. Great go-to suit that I used for my interview (which I got the job!) I ALWAYS get compliments by my friends, co-workers, and random strangers on the color and fit. Makes me feel like a million bucks. Was greeted immediately upon entering, tried on so many options, basically had 3 people helping get the right sleeve lengths (one of my arms is shorter than the other.. genetics I guess!) Anton was SUPER helpful! Very knowledgeable, even gave me running tips. He was also great to look at, so that was a definite plus. Le boyfriend needed a suit and I needed to buy him a very belated Christmas/birthday present, so off to Suitsupply we went. I had heard about Suitsupply a while back when I was reading GQ (yea that's right...girls read GQ too!) and have been wanting to go with the bf for a while. Oh so glad we went. We went on a beautiful spring Saturday morning and when we got there around 11am the place was bustling. At first, the bf wanted to look around and find his own suit, but neither of us knowing his size or what type of suit would fit him best, I had him flag down an associate and he was kind enough to stick with us the entire time we were there (though he was helping others as well). While I was waiting for the bf to try on different suits, another associate was kind enough to offer me a selection of drinks (coffee, tea, water, beer *I love that they serve beer instead of champagne as do other high end places haha*) and I gladly took a cup of water. Another associate came by as I was waiting to ask if I was doing alright. Their service, even for the gfs that are waiting around, is absolutely fantastic. In the end, the bf ended up getting a navy blue suit complete with white shirt, and a maroon tie with small white dots all over (suggested by the associate helping us who told us it was flashy, but not too over the top). Because the bf had an interview that following Monday morning, the associate helping us (apologies to the man--totally forgot his name) was kind enough to fit us in for an emergency pants hemming which took no more than an hour (in which we took the time to eat lunch around the area). Though the quality may not be anything compared to the high end places next door (Suitsupply IS located in Gold Coast, after all!), it's great for the younger business man (such as le boyfriend).
