For food from a mall court, you would usually expect some things: high cost, alright tastes, and okay customer service. Thankfully, Suki Hana Japan is the opposite of all those mentioned! We ordered a teriyaki box with noodles and rice as the sides and was super impressed with the flavor and quality of the food! The meat was cooked well, and tender. The sauces and heat of the grill left the meat and veggies super yummy. The price was very affordable and we were able to save the box for leftovers for later! The staff was friendly and when we asked for a plastic bag, they even included sauce packets and clean utensils to use. If we are ever hungry and in this mall again, we know this spot will exceed our satisfaction!

The good: I ordered a teriyaki chicken dish for under $12. I liked the ease of the self-order tablet. My order was ready in a timely manner. The chicken was moist and the sauce wasn't overly salty or sweet. My two kids both enjoyed the food. The price was fair and the portion was enough for me to eat for two meals. It came with stir fried cabbage, carrots, zucchini and broccoli which I really enjoyed. They were cooked nicely and had a lot of grill flavor. They're located in the food court on the second floor of the mall. There's plenty of seating there. The bad: I would've liked more vegetables. The interesting: It seems the they have several other SoCal locations.

Wonderful service and such friendly employees! I was offered a sample of the chicken by one of the staff, and wow--it was delicious! I couldn't resist ordering a plate to share. We went with the chicken and beef over rice with vegetables, plus three chicken egg rolls. The portions were generous (I couldn't help but dig in before snapping a picture), and I'm so glad we decided to share. Definitely worth it!

This time I got Chicken and Shrimp Teriyaki plate and of course ALWAYS consistent. These folks have a line at the end of their closing time...that's how you know it's legit.

I dont know why this has such low reviews! The lady out front gave out free samples and the Chicken Teriyaki was so good it convinced us! Very hot food, good bargain, big portions, and the cashiers and cooks were all very nice. It came out quickly and is some of the best mall food in the food court

Sushi, Bentos, appetizers, etc. The place is not large inside, but you can sit at one of their tables or at the sushi bar as well. They are open from 12-2:30 for the lunch crowd and then again later for dinner. We got a ton of things, my receipt was too long, had to fold it over for the picture. Started with some spicy edamame's and shishito peppers, cooked perfectly. Miso soup, salmon, spicy tuna, spicy scallop, white fish, veggie tempura, a BSC roll, unagi, baked crab and California rolls. Enjoyed everything very much except for the baked crab roll, it was ok, but not my favorite and I would not order again. Everything else I would get again. There are a few spaces in front on Sepulveda, but you should park in the back in the large parking lot that they have. The lot is not free, just an FYI. Staff was really nice and took care of us well. Their prices are not bad for sushi, more reasonable than others, but the sushi is still high grade and very good. Keep the prices reasonable, provide great service and provide high quality tasty food is a recipe to keep your customers coming back. Check them out, support local and get some great food and service. Enjoy!

It was refreshing to not be disappointed by our ramen, so my mom and I went back less than a week later. Any issues we experienced our first visit were either repeated or amplified during our second visit. Both times I noticed that the ramen isn't served hot. At best, it's served warm, so despite being a quick eater, the last bites of my bowls were "enjoyed" cold. Also, the restaurant is very busy with to go orders, so the overwhelmed staff has to juggle dine in as well as delivery drivers and their priority is the to go orders. They have a sign up/wait list, but they don't follow it. Customers who stand at the door, in the staff's view, will be seated before others who signed up before, but are off to the side. Lastly, is the issue of cleanliness. Our first visit the restaurant didn't feel very clean, but by the second, I was sure they weren't cleaning throughly. We ordered fresh garlic and the garlic masher they gave still had old garlic inside. On top of that, they don't wipe tables between customers because they're so busy. Strictly rating the food, Kai Ramen deserves a solid 4 stars, but as a whole, I think 3 stars is generous. Unfortunately, another visit wouldn't change anything because the problem is caused by management understaffing and overworking employees.

Each plate looked like a piece of art--everything was neatly arranged, balanced in color, and visually inviting. The sushi itself was beautifully plated. The fish had a fresh, vibrant shine, and the cuts were clean and precise. Garnishes like such as microgreens, and wasabi were placed thoughtfully, not just for decoration but to complement the dish. Even the simplest rolls looked elegant, with tight, uniform shapes and a nice contrast between ingredients. Overall, Sushi Zen Toro delivers both in flavor and presentation. The Yuzu Hirame was too creamy & weird for me, but again, my hubby liked it. I grew up with boring plain sashimi so I guess my palate is old LOL. Chicken teri lunch was a good portion & my husband enjoyed his sashimi lunch. The one downside was the miso soup. Guys, if this is an upscale restaurant you gotta COOK your miso soup. As a Japanese raised in Japan I was shocked to get re-heated soup with cold tofu & instant seaweed. I mean, what? Come on. Let's COOK all the ingredients. And no "grow-in-the-water" seaweed. Let's get the real stuff.

I arrived ahead of everyone to secure a table, and even on a weekday the wait is 30 minutes - I guess no matter what day and time you come, there is always a wait. Since it was my first time here, my daughter took the lead and ordered the Trust Me for me. And trust me, it lives up to the name. The fish was fresh, flavors were very good, and I was so full I even handed off my last roll to my daughter. The only downside - inside is loud, you can't have a nice conversation, and I just wish the tables were spaced out more for comfort. So selfish of me to wish huh. It was a good dinner experience. Pricey but recommended. I will be back for sure. Free 90 minutes parking. Public facilities are outside the restaurant.

It's been hit and miss with the take out for the past year, sometimes 5***** sometimes waste of the $$$$$. But last night we couldn't even finish our sushi!!! This has never happened. The sashimi looked like it was the remnants of the sushi and rolls and had scales in it! YUCK!The cut rolls were tasteless and almost had a fishy smell, not a good thing. The actual sushi pieces were put together sloppily and just didn't taste 'right'. We kind of started feeling a little sick, all three of us, before even saying anything to each other and then all stopped eating since we all had the same experience. I know Nozawa would never put up with this mediocrity and I don't know if I will ever do take out again from SugarFish. I may try in restaurant dining but this was not the first time we were disappointed but for the money, I'm not chancing another.
