I have been craving Thai Food for the past 2 days now. I've been to this charming, cozy, pretty restaurant too many times over the years, but not for the last 3 years. According to other reviews that I have read earlier today, the restaurant is under new management/ownership. Walked in today around 4:45pm and got a very nice, warm welcome from Alex - the owner himself. He told me to have a seat anywhere that I wanted, so I did. Alex himself took my order and the food came out pretty quickly and fast. I was very hungry so I got 2 main entrées and their regular small salad with peanut dressing. Ordered their Pad See Ew with beef & shrimp that also came with well cooked broccoli. I also got their crab fried rice and stayed with my water. Both entrees were cooked really well and were hot & tasty. My only complaint was that the beef was a bit overcooked and hard to chew. A lot of to-go orders and delivery/pick up by 3rd parties. Place was SPOTLESS CLEAN, including their gender neutral restroom. They also had nice decor all around. I really enjoyed my lunch and the portions being HUGE, took the rest home for my son to eat. This place is so cute! Definitely one of the hidden gems in a Valley strip mall. It's a total vibe. Art all over the walls, oldies bumping. Loved the atmosphere. Their Thai iced coffee is SO GOOD. It's pretty sweet, but had lots of strong coffee to offset the sweetness a bit. The gyoza and the shrimp rolls were amazing! Also loved the sauces they were served with. For my main I got the Pad woon sen and I felt like it lacked flavor. The chicken was also pretty dry and there wasn't much of it on the plate. Always a good place to grab great food. I don't think I've ever ordered from this place and been less than satisfied.

This quiet shop bumping groovy music is meant to be filled with groups of people chatting and laughing. Perhaps it was because I came in close to their mid-day break. Please be aware that they close at 3 pm Monday through Friday. Before they close though, there are some great lunch specials available starting at $14. I got the pad thai with shrimp. The shrimp was slightly overcooked, but the dish had good flavor and the consistency of the noodles were good. If you get this to-go I recommend mixing it around a little bit because the spice seems to sink to the bottom. Before I took off with my order I also had the shrimp rolls and steamed gyoza appetizers. The shrimp rolls had a perfect crunch and the shrimp was juicy. The sauce each appetizer was paired with was so flavorful and complimented each dish perfectly, but I recommend also adding chili oil to the dumplings. I also got the Thai tea which was delicious and nearly perfect, but just a smidge on the sweeter side. The person who took our order was also nice, patient, and made sure to get us our food while it was fresh and hot. I'll definitely be coming back. read more

Excellent tom kha with shrimp. It was mildly sweet and creamy coconut soup with a kick of spice. Get the pot instead of the bowl for a few dollars more. I had leftover soup to take home. Terrible when new owners take over and keep the same name. I gave them a chance since I loved the original owners. I started with their lemon grass wings which had to be frozen and very hard, I almost choked trying to digest. The young Thai waiter even agreed with all I said nodding his head since the owner was sitting at a table close by. This waiter was the only decent part of the experience! The original owners had the best green curry in town their version was watered down and flavorless, hope others won't waste their money like I just did! I even said when I left to the owner my complaints and all he said was what do you expect your appetizer was fried chicken-Wow! They seriously need to change their name or just remove noodle and become 'Monsters'!!! read more

Been coming here more and more often lately and have yet to be disappointed. Casual sit down (or pick up) restaurant in a convenient location. I think their price-to-portion ratio is pretty good (for LA anyway!) and they are quick with bringing food out. I have had multiple noodle dishes, soups, fried rice, and curry - and everything is great! My only complaint would be that the rice is not included with dishes that need it (like curry) and has to be ordered separately... which is kinda weird / unusual and super annoying. I try not to order dishes that usually come with rice (to save on the extra rice order.) I am hooked on their ginger honey iced drink! So refreshing, thank you to the service who recommended that on my first visit. Love the huge parking lot with easy access too. I would get food from here at least once a month. I ordered yesterday not knowing they had new owners. My favorite thing were the chicken egg rolls. They were awful . The old ones were filled with chicken and tasted fresh. They were also 10 dollars. The new ones tasted frozen, and were 14 dollars. Even the white rice seemed old and sad. Noodle Monster has always been amazing since the first time I tried it after moving in the area. But the best thing is that they now close at 10 instead of 9pm! Their Tom Yum soup and curry noodle soup are the best things to order on a cold day, but you really can't go wrong with anything you order off their huge menu. I'm pretty sure I'm a regular at this point, so this review is long overdue. It's my go to spot when I have friends visiting and want a casual night in. I ordered each time the same thing: ribeye, medium rare with sautéed mixed vegetables and brown rice: it has been each time very delish and the portion super copious, really enough for two meals. In a strip/plaza almost hidden during the day with their tinted windows. We ordered the Seafood chowder and crab fried rice. Both tasted excellent. Portion size was perfect. Two of us overate just not to have to waste anything, could've easily fed 3 adults. The broth on the seafood chowder was perfection. Thai iced tea was as expected. We were waited on at least 4x after our meal arrived during our dinner session..organically, we didn't feel rushed; we felt valued. Ambiance is nice. Good music. 80-90's smooth rock. I usually come here just to get the panang dumplings. Which have always been good in the past. But this time, the panang curry sauce was completely off and it was exceptionally watery. The stars don't lie, Noodle Monster is really good. Not only do they have good prik khing, pad thai, yellow curry, etc (just some of my favorites)... they also have the best Crab Rangoons (which they call "cream cheese wontons") that I've found nearby. I also really like how consistent the food is here. Every time I eat here, each dish tastes like the last time I ate here. I've also noticed that every time I come here it's the same people friendly working here. When you eat in person, and the service is very quick! Highly recommend Noodle Monster! read more

My first visit was in-person and was good. Ordered chicken pad thai, drunken noodles with beef, and garlic green beans. I enjoyed it enough to get takeout a few weeks later, and we ordered the same thing. This time, I started feeling sick a couple hours later, and soon thereafter clearly got food poisoning - EVERYTHING came back every which way. It took a couple days for my body to fully recover and it's now a week after that. It's a real bummer, not just because of my health, but more because I don't know that I can trust a place like this. Was it an under-cooked piece of chicken in the pad thai? Some other things in another dish? I may never know, and I likely won't investigate to find out. read more

I've been going to Noodle Monster with my partner for over 2 years ever since I moved to this part of the valley! They have our favorite crab rangoons of any Asian restaurant we've been to and we've ordered their Four Brother Noodle soup the most. But everything we've had is delicious :D (especially their soups when it gets colder) After finding them through a food delivery app, I started to order their takeout and I also dine in person to support them even more. Lol so I can't say anything about the service or how the place looks but let me tell you about the food!! Noodle monster is definitely on my rotation for delivery. Their prices are good and their portions are on point as well. I normally get their mee koreng (sp?) with chicken which I normally do not get. I normally hate chicken but their chicken is really good. So instead of tofu I get their chicken. And omg their egg rolls... They have chicken and vegetable and normally I would say get the chicken but here... Get the vegetable!!! The vegetable one is so freaking good. I get their egg rolls every time I order. It's been a long time since I've eaten here but I gave it another chance because it's been so long and things change (and because it was open late). Nothing has changed. I got the basil eggplant dish. There was hardly any basil and it was FLAVORLESS and watery. This is a dish I've gotten at many thai places and this one was without a doubt the worst I've ever had. I actually had to put it back in a pan and cook it with some spices. It tasted like they poured water in it and didn't cook it with any actual garlic or anything. I also got the papaya salad which I asked for spicy and it was very spicy and pretty good. But the eggplant was so gross I couldn't get past it. I came here to update and see my last review was so similar! Lesson learned. Never again! So confused by the good reviews - I've consistently gotten horrible food from here! Maybe the soup dishes are the way to go because they are supposed to be watery? I don't know - I'm baffled by the 4 stars. The food at Rustic Spoon is exponentially better! read more

I LOVE NOODLE MONSTER! Always clean. Always Fresh. Perfect Presentation & Wonderful service ... love the whole Pham! Phõ is great and all but the tofu veg soup HITS! Love the yellow curry in the pineapple fried rice (add cashew bby!) Honestly... one of the only places I enjoy the eggrolls bc they are always crispy and have verm noodles inside They have Thai and Vietnamese options... Lots of vegetarian stuff for a girl like me :-) Low-key in a little strip mall and it's my favorite type of place. :-) read more
