I immediately jumped at the chance and booked the appointment with her. She was very friendly and thorough in explaining the process and took her time with the mapping. As someone who filled their brows in everyday I was a bit nervous about the mapping since the shape she chose was a bit different than what I usually do. However, I trusted her and let her map my eyebrows and pick the shade to match my skin and hair color. I won't lie this did hurt more than I thought but the results are 100% worth it! Immediately after the brows are very dark but that's expected. My eyebrows healed smoothly- I didn't come in for a touch up but even without it 2 years later they still look great. I absolutely love my eyebrows and think it's 100% worth it to get, especially for someone like me who had extremely sparse eyebrows!

During the touch-up appointment, I made it very clear that the eyeliner was too light and too thin, and I specifically requested a darker and more visible result. Unfortunately, after the touch-up healed, the same thing happened again -- once the scabbing came off, the eyeliner faded significantly and is now barely visible. I reached out regarding the issue, but I was told it would not be corrected unless I paid for another session. While the experience was pleasant, I am disappointed with the final results and the lack of resolution after clearly communicating my concerns during the touch-up process.

I found Mai and basically got my eyebrows completely redone this fall. They're thicker now (but not TOO thick!) and the shape looks amazing. It's only been three months so it's hard to say how long it'll last for, but it all depends on your aftercare, skin condition, how often you sweat, etc anyway. I find that I need to get touched up every year since my skin is a little more oily and I sweat more. Importantly, Mai is super easy to talk to, really sweet, and takes COVID seriously.

All of my initial questions were answered on her website (very detailed and helpful info on there!), and I emailed her a few photos and videos of my current eyebrow state, to which she replied back fairly quickly! The booking process was so easy because you can do it online. Her system sends you confirmation emails and reminder emails for your initial and touch up appointments! After both of your appointments, she also sends you aftercare instructions :) My also conveniently booked my touch up appointment right when I got into the studio - she is so on top of everything. BACKSTORY: Two years ago I had a different friend who just finished a class for microblading. I was the second person she had ever done the microblading process on, but honestly I was just glad that I finally had eyebrows. Fast forward to the day I found My... my brows were faded and uneven, and needed HELP. I was constantly checking her page to see when her books would open, and I ended up setting an alarm at work to take a break just so I could book my appointment! LOCATION: The location is a very neat and tidy office in San Jose which she shares with her sister who does scalp tattoos! There is even a private parking lot just for MicroHair Studios clients, which was really convenient. I didn't realize that at first and parked on the street, but that was just as easy because it is near a residential street. PRICE: Her info is on her website, the price includes the complimentary touch up, and it is more than worth it!!! Cash and Venmo are accepted. RESULTS: My brows have never looked better. She fixed the shape, lifted the tail ends, made them even, and got the color PERFECT. Need I say more? My previous tattoo just barely shows at the tail ends since they were brought down too far initially, but the shape that My perfected for me exceeds all my expectations so much so that I don't even care that the old tattoo shows a bit! The old tattoo will fade soon anyway, plus I can cover it up with concealer for the time being lol. OVERALL: My is one of the most wonderful, friendly, and talented girls I have met to this day. She was so warm and welcoming, and talking to her made me feel like I was talking to an old friend.
