The ambience is beautiful inside…read more The best part of the Baked Eggs dish was the cheese. The cheese was so flavorful, creamy, and delicious. Next best was the bread - it was perfectly soft inside with a crispy crust. Between how oily the dish was and my nose running from the increased spice as I continued eating, I wouldn't return for this dish. The eggs weren't noticeable in appearance or taste- I had to search for them. The "creamy grits" were creamy, but the black pepper taste was STRONG. Definitely ordered the side for the "creamy" factor, hoping when the server said harissa in the eggs would have a mild spice, that the grits would calm my mouth. The amount of pepper made this unsuccessful. But if you like black pepper a lot then you'll enjoy them. My son enjoyed the beignet's. The server was also the host and he was kind. It was easy to get his attention when needed. I didn't see anyone with a grin on their face after taking bites of their food. I looked around quite a bit out of curiosity. So for ambiance, kind and prompt service, and the possibilities of the menu I gave it 4 stars. We only tried the few things I mentioned. I did also appreciate the bottle of water ready on every table. Note that there is no kids menu and it's mostly table seating. So maybe try on your own or with other adults, and leave the kids at home?

It did not disappoint! I tried the Norma sandwich which was delicious. The tofu skin patty was unlike any other faux chicken I've had and so good! And because I'm always on the search for great vegan mac and cheese I had that as my side. Absolutely delicious! Very creamy. Portions are large here so I brought some of the mac home and am looking forward to having it for lunch tomorrow. My husband tried the dip sandwich with a side of the mashed potatoes and gravy and ate every last bit. He loved it. It's a very cute cafe on the corner with friendly staff. I witnessed a man in need come in and take advantage of the program they have where you can buy a meal for a hungry person to come in in the future and have a free meal. That's a lovely service to the community. So glad I was able to finally patronize this great vegan business! I'll try to come back soon!

The fries are some of the best fries we have a in a long time. My smash burger was delicious. The person with the classic burger was very happy. Two in our party got the raspberry rhubarb spritz (no alcohol) and loved them. They were surprised the drink came with a free refill. Great service! And OH! The Happy Hour! Great food at wonderful prices. I would love to see the HH later in the afternoon so we could better justify a drink! I did have issues with the menu. It is not well laid out. Difficult to read with all the items lined up in paragraphs, squished together. I kept thinking it was information to read about the restaurant. The Happy Hour menu was a lot easier to read and order from.

Our server was very good. Very attentive despite the fact that there was a decent crowd and not a lot of people working the bar. Decent fish tacos. Interesting menu although cannot say about the food itself as I haven't tried. Cons: Mocktails were not good in my opinion. Excessively sweet, lacking flavor and depth. Too much sugar does that - kills the flavor. I had Lavender Nojito and Strawberry Coconut cooler (I believe this was the name). Nojito was less sweet than the cooler, but still too sweet. The place is kind of like a sports bar with TV screens which is not where I would choose to eat at.

The toast was…read moreperfectly crunchy, the avocado was fresh and smooth, and the pickled onions added such a perfect touch with the acidity. We got the soup of the day, which was chili. I wish there were a little more sour cream, but it was still savory and delicious regardless. The lady who took our order was very helpful and super sweet. The place was clean, spacious, and very aesthetically pleasing. I don't go to Olympia very often, but I'll assure you I'm coming back for that toast!

Our barista was kind of rude and, though we told her we would be a second, she stared us down until we decided what to have. For the drinks, white pumpkin latte, chai latte and an Irish cream coffee. The chai was spicy and the white pumpkin had no flavor. The Irish cream latte, however, was REALLY GOOD. The food, orange cardamom, maple pecan and early grey scones. The earl gray scone had a slightly off-putting texture and we realized it was GF (that was def user error) maple pecan since was good, so was the orange cardamom one. The tempeh Rueben, holy knock your socks off, that was an amazing bite. For being plant-based, it was spot on flavor wise, I was shocked! Oh! Super-pricey, buyer beware.

Cool cafe with pretty mid food…read more The ambiance inside is really relaxing; plenty of comfortable seating with plenty of plants around to make a warm and inviting space. The cafe is attached to a store, but that doesn't really affect the cafe all that much. The tablecloths used have a tendency to slide around very easily. We got the tempe blt panini and tempeh Ruben panini with their fries. The fries and ketchup were the best tasting item. You can add extras to the sandwiches, but that gets pretty pricey pretty fast. I added on avocado for $2, which was left off my sandwich so be sure to check that your food is correct. They did give me a small cup of avocado when I went up to the front, but I unfortunately did not notice it was missing until I had already eaten half of my sandwich. The food itself was a bit greasy. Not too overwhelming, but enough that it affected the meal. The sandwiches are pretty small, but filling enough for a lunch sized portion. Beyond food, everything else is self service (water, napkins, utensils). Not bad unless you have limited mobility, then it will be difficult to maneuver around the tables to the small cramped corner that everything else is located. When a gentleman asked the staff if they would bring him a fork (needed assistance walking), the staff only pointed again where the utensils were located before walking away.
