Just a wonderful experience. I had the chicken salad sandwich with a side of potatoes. Cup of coffee. Served by Heather and very enjoyable on all levels. Always loved the hardware store and now even more, because of the restaurant!

I hadn't realized that there was a little cafe inside Sulliven's hardware & nursery. We called ahead, and they said the patio was #dogfriendly -- so, yay! There was a little rudeness from a man behind the counter as we took our dogs out to the patio, but we had called ahead to make sure it was ok! (3 adults, 3 well trained, behaved & tired dogs, coming from an event). Our server was very nice and wonderful. At one point, the rude guy came out to the patio, apparently we were seated at the table right in front of a walk in fridge he needed access to. My dog was in front of it, laying down on the cement. The guy yanked open the door before I even realized what he was doing, not only scared my dog but also hit him in the leg with the door. Didn't apologize, didn't even say a quick "oops, sorry" and hadn't asked us to make way, which we would have gladly and quickly done. Then he storms out of the fridge and now I'm like, "dude, you hit my dog!" He responded, "I had to go in there" well then, just ask! (yes, my dog was fine or there'd have been a real problem!). Then I could see him inside complaining about us to other workers. Our server, who was wonderful, was appalled by this behavior from him. She actually started crying. Totally not her fault! Then he didn't come out again, but others had to access that fridge about 3 more times during our lunch. It wasn't a big deal to them or the dogs, so I'm not sure why he had such as issue. We did not experience rudeness from any of them (and by then we also knew they had to get in there -- so easy to move the dogs!) Our food was in fact quite pretty, and tasty. The patio has ceiling fans, and beautiful flowers surrounding it. So it makes for a lovely setting. My friends had the heirloom tomato salad (but see pics - it had no heirloom tomatoes, just romas), and an egg skillet. I had the open face mushroom sandwich with guyere and onion jam. My sandwich was definitely a #yum, as was the side cup of soup - it was the soup of the day, an artichoke veggie. So, overall, we had a wonderful server and tasty food. I choose to ignore the jerk with zero people skills, because apparently he can cook. I really appreciate places that are #dogfriendly -- and the inside of the store definitely is at least. #ReviewsByRL

Absolutely loved this place. Located inside of a hardware store. This little grill was delicious. The ambiance is really amazing. We sat inside and enjoyed the ac. However, they patio looked pretty. Server could've been a little bit friendlier. However, the food was amazing. We ordered the Chicken Torta sandwich, brisket sandwich and ramen. The favors were spot on and the smoked chicken and brisket were cooked on the green egg. Which can be purchased in the store. I highly recommend eating and drinking here. Will be back!

I was in Sullivan's Hardware to pick out a Christmas tree when I spied a sign saying "Sully's Grill." Who expected a small grill inside an indie hardware store? Apparently, I should have. I will admit that being a newbie to Sullivan's I was utterly amazed at how big the place is and how much it really offers. Sully's Grill is, indeed, a little grill with dine-in tables. Most of the tables are taller (and not wheelchair friendly), though there's an accessible table close to where you order and the counter itself is accessible. Of course, everyone was so friendly that the idea of accessibility wasn't a huge issue. Sully's Grill is advertised as open Tuesday-Friday for lunch from 11am-3:30pm and for train snacks from 4-9pm. Yes, Sullivan's Hardware even has a little train feature. I swear, this place is so huge I think you could live there for days and not get noticed. Okay, I'm exaggerating a bit. The grill itself is rather small, but nicely decorated. The menu consists of snacks, salads, sharables, bento boxes, drinks (including beer, wine, coffee, hot cocoa, and others), and some sandwiches that are served with chips. Right now, they even have some holiday-themed options. While I wasn't in the mood for a meal, I did have a very large cinnamon roll and hot cocoa for about $5. The person working the counter was extremely nice and moved a chair so I could sit at a table. The tables are nicely spaced and everyone was wearing masks/socially distancing. The cinnamon roll was utterly amazing and the hot cocoa was pretty awesome, as well. I would easily return for lunch. You can rent out the space for events and they also offer cooking classes. This certainly isn't what I'd call a fancy joint, but it's comfy and friendly and clean and has great service. I enjoyed what I ordered. The prices are fair. Sullivan's seems to do a brisk family business so I'd imagine it's a great place to grab the kids a snack or drink. I can't quite justify calling this a 5-star experience, but it's simply too unique and awesome to consider anything less than a 4-star. Sullivan's has long been known for service and this continues at Sully's Grill. They have an amazing assortment of holiday goods and trees at Sullivan's and it's a great time to check out Sully's Grill. I'm sure glad I did.

This has to be the best kept secret in Indy. A full-service restaurant tucked inside a hardware store!? Silly's is open 11 AM - 8 PM daily and serves brunch on the weekends. My mom and I visited for Sunday brunch. The atmosphere is delightful! You are basically in a greenhouse with hanging plants everywhere. The menu is fantastic - we couldn't decide so our server encouraged us to get a couple things and share - a fantastic suggestion! She even brought out extra plates and was super attentive while we were there. We ordered the mushroom skillet off the brunch menu and the antipasto couscous salad off the regular menu. I started with a cup of the soup of the day - garlic Parmesan - which was unreal! Everything was so surprising and delicious and we can't wait to go back!

If you have a chance to dine in at Sullys and sit beneath the beautiful hanging plants. DO IT. It's an delightful dining experience. We started with the sangrias which were both equally delicious. I preferred the flavor of the white sangria a bit more. Food wise- we started with pretzel sticks- delicious! My daughter had the pizza bento box and my mother and I shared the brisket quesadilla special. I would never think to put zucchini & asparagus in a quesadilla, but it worked! Really a great little lunch spot. I would love to come back and take a cooking class as well!

Isn't this just the perfect little cafe ... For a hardware store!? It really is perfect. Nice bites for a shopping day trip .. Hearty enough that they'll take the edge off hunger, but not too much. Kinda perfect cuz I don't want to go box to juggle with all my purchases from the store as well! Right in the middle of Sullivan's you'll find this little cafe... We had a short wait so we put our name in right when we got to the store and shopped a little while waiting. They take your number and text when your tables ready! I had a brunch option (which they deserve Saturday and Sunday until 2pm) the egg spinach mushroom and gruyere skillet. My companion had the breakfast sandwich... Both were great. I quite enjoyed chopping the potatoes that were my side and letting them soak up some of the liquid from my running eggs, I even noticed the coffee is good but didn't happen to catch what beans they use. Overall this is much better than I'd ever fathom for a cafe Ina hardware store! High quality ingredients, well crafted yet simple dishes... Simply perfection. Glad I finally tried this place... Rounds out a perfect day of shopping.

    Pretzels

Who knew there was a restaurant nestled inside a hardware store? Apparently everyone but me, but I finally made a trip to try it. It's decked out with Christmas trees and decorations for the holidays. With that, there is a train that runs every probably 15 minutes or something for children and they run rampant around so go at your own risk- or bring your kids, whichever is your cup of tea. I ordered the sangria and it was so sweet I almost couldn't finish it. The pretzels and cheese were perfect. The pretzels were soft but also chewy. My husband ordered the rigatoni and said it was alright. I ordered the smoked chicken sandwich. It was good- however I think they forgot the cheese as it could have used a little something extra. All around an interesting experience for a week night.

Stopped in Sullivan's Hardware intentionally to have lunch at Sully's Grill. It was delicious and beautifully plated. I had the smoked salmon sandwich and my friend really liked the Deviled Egg Wedge Salad. We also had a seasonal artichoke soup and a Yummy hot cheese dip before lunch. It was served with a Warm loaf and was topped with onion jam, pesto, and blistered small heirloom tomato's. A new favorite spot with a super atmosphere. The gurgle water pitcher was so cute and a nice whimsical touch to our dining experience

Love this place, great menu & service! Food is very fresh, and only downside is sometimes they run out of dessert!

Is it an option to dine with a dog in the winter months?

I don't believe so, as the patio would not be open. The servers were quite pleasant but the cook was quite rude as we had to walk our dogs through the interior area to get to the patio to dine. I'd call to verify, though. Dogs ARE allowed inside the… Read more

Once you're inside, though, the vibe pulls you in. They've made the most of a small footprint with cozy, creative seating nooks that invite you to slow down. My wife is already plotting a return just to sit by the chairs near the fireplace. The menu isn't extensive, but it's thoughtfully done--just right for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. I ordered a biscuit sandwich with turkey sausage, egg, pepper jack, and hot honey (not on the menu, but just ask for the Fire and Ice biscuit). When it first came out, I had a quick "where's the rest?" moment, but it turned out to be surprisingly filling and really flavorful. I paired it with the tiramisu cappuccino and loved it--rich, smooth, and a little indulgent in the best way. Fire and Ice feels like the kind of place you're glad you discovered--perfect for studying solo, meeting someone for coffee, or escaping the rush for a bit. It's easy to drive past, but once you stop in, you'll want to come back. Save me a spot by the fireplace!

Always excited to try…read morea #NewToMe place and also one that is gluten free, as my dining companions need that for medical reasons. The inside is bright and comfortable. There are a variety of tables, also some comfy corner chairs. You order at the counter then they'll bring food to you. We all got (plain) coffee. There's a small sugar station on the end of the counter, but you have to ask for cream. I also told a staff member none of us had been there before, and asked were there coffee refills (since the rest was specialty coffee drinks) or do we pay? She said we can have one refill if we come up. My friends got gluten free egg/biscuit sandwiches. The hubs got a crepe with strawberries, bananas and more in it. I ordered the Galette Bretonne - which is described as "a savory light Buckwheat crepe with City ham, Gruyere cheese, with sunny side up egg" and also comes with a side salad. Our food came fairly quickly. The crepe was visually pretty. The biscuit sandwiches looked like they had nice fluffy biscuits (and, gluten free!) - but they were on the small side (smaller than an egg mcmuffin). My galette looked nice but not like the photo (see pics of mine & one from their web) - and the egg inside was well done, definitely not sunny side up or even medium. I don't mind harder cooked eggs, but the whole effect was very dry, so I went to the counter to ask for some syrup. The server told me that he would have to charge me for it. I said fine, yes please, because my dish is so dry it's unedible without it. So he went back in the kitchen and did bring me out a small side dish of syrup (see also pic of that, for size). I had my credit card ready, but he said "this one's on me." I thanked him and sat down to eat. ... and yes, that syrup was just the trick to make the dish delicious! So this is the thing that makes a whole experience "meh" as opposed to "really nice": Between me & my hubs, our food and plain coffees were $42. (My friends paid separately for theirs.) For that price and just counter service, if a guest asks for a small side of syrup for the food, there should not be a side charge. I think the server who gave it to me realized that (but I would have paid it anyway because the meal was just too dry without it) ... But here's the thing - there was another staff member at the counter when my server gave me that little side of syrup. She heard him say "no charge this time," and her expression absolutely changed, and she looked mad that he did not charge me, and like she was about to say something (but didn't). Guess what? I absolutely saw that. And I totally feel like she was not only mad, but also that he might get reprimanded for it. (Might I add, we were also there when it was NOT busy at all, so there was nothing about the atmosphere that was rushed or hectic - although that souldn't matter, either.) And yes, of course when I went back to the table, I relayed that story to my other 3 companions. A little (little!) customer service goes a long way. And also is easily a deciding factor of whether or not a place gets a revisit. There are so many other places to try. #ReviewsByRL
